Hiking 2017 Map

Beautiful hike. Muddy but fun!

Good hike almost 4 miles. Always like seeing the falls. First time taking this trail.

Trail is beautiful and easy, stair cases and a beautiful view of the waterfall make this a treat to see. Easy for kids, so good as a family outing. Would see this again.

Brought a friend who has never been backpacking for a quick weekend trip and this route worked well. We parked at the north lot and arrived relatively late in the evening but there was a good place to set up camp right at the beginning so it worked out. Water was low but there was still plenty of water available. Relatively easy hiking. Great for new backpackers and a weekend trip.

Very scenic! Was pretty greasy because of all the moisture so was fairly difficult throughout most of the hike! Will definitely revisit when it dries out!

This is a beautiful place.

Muddy but beautiful scenery on a 58 degree winter day!

Beautiful trail and great side trails for dog walking!

Nive variety of elevation, easy to navigate, really beautiful! Not too difficult as there's stairs at the steeper parts. Can definitely get muddy depending on the weather.

Beautiful!! Can get icy depending on the weather but a lot of fun!

Lovely day out for my very first solo hike! Challenging trail at times, especially on some of the hills. Pretty muddy after the heavy rain we got, but absolutely beautiful and just the right amount of uphill vs. flat to make it a challenge, but not extremely difficult. Will be returning on a drier day for sure!

It's a great trail with a good mix of hills and flora. There are a few times that the path crosses the stream without a bridge.

Came in January and the trails were closed.

This trail was easy, has some stairs and elevation changes. We took the dog and he enjoyed it. The surroundings were all pretty and the waterfall was beautiful with all the ice in the winter.

Easy shaded trail on the boardwalk. Kids loved looking at the rocks. The falls were beautiful.

Beautiful in the winter- even the frozen falls!

Great trail that will give you a good sweat even in mid 30’s and sunshine. My girlfriend, dog and I had the whole place to ourselves and it was perfect. It was clearly blazed and the trail was still in good shape even with 2 inches of snow on it. This would be great when the Rhododendrons bloom because we saw bushes everywhere we looked on the main trail. We earned our beers and tacos after this one.

Amazing scenery and a great hike to do with your best friend

Great trail. Lots of steep climbs and large trees fallen across the path but I loved it.

Easy trail to get out and experience nature. There were lots of folks with their kids on the trail. Lots of people also with dogs. To reach the Brandywine Falls is accessible by wooden walkway which is an easy way to get a great photo of the falls!
I enjoyed it for a 1.5! mile brisk walk with my dogs on a late November day! November 25, 2017

Short but difficult. Some loops are confusing to navigate

Great trail. Just enough of a challenge. I ended up cutting across and taking Brocker Trail, which put me at about 8.5 miles.

Decent hike... completed the out and back,...
Trail was marked very well and easy to navigate.

Excellent little used trail system. After a good climb up the ridge, which looks like it could be muddy in wet weather, the trail follows the edges of the large ridge. Easy to spend 1-2 hours on the loops and overlooks. Nice views of the valleys with quite a few benches to rest and take in the forest. There’s sufficient signs but it’s best to take a map or gps if you don’t want too much exploring to get back to the parking lot. The area is named Forest Ridge Preserve.

I really enjoyed this trail .It’s short and sweet easy to navigate and was a great autumn hike. The waterfall is awesome and such great views ! If you’re a bigger guy like me this trail does offer some challenges. The terrain is manageable but rocky and luckily it was dry otherwise mud would have been a factor. There are some pretty decent inclines. They are gradual but I did have to take my time. The loop trail does have benches and stones big enough to take a breather.

Pretty views, nice picture stop near the waterfall, well marked. Decent challenge - lots of hills and steps to keep the hike interesting

Good well marked trail easy to follow. Parking at the house is limited but over flow parking at Towpath trail. A couple of serious uphills and downhills but not bad.

You can take off your shoes and walk in the stream instead of going on the trail since the stream bed is smooth, flat rock. It will not hurt your feet!
