An enduring, well worth hike. Lots of fresh air and scenic. A moderate walk and rewarding at the end.

Very nice scenic

Beautiful walk, most of it in the shade and alongside a stream. The only caveat: the last mile to mile and a half is STEEPLY uphill, and may be too much for some casual hikers. Otherwise, I had a terrific time, and will definitely be going back.

Absolutely loved the trail! Very easy to find. Lots of options and very friendly and courteous people using the trail! Will definitely go again next time I’m in town! A+

Gorgeous wooded single track trail run that I did with my dog. Beautiful views on the ridge lines. You can add various loops to make it a longer run if you prefer. Map and GPS worked perfectly.

Easy, kid-friendly, watch out for lots of mountain bikers/runners. Didn’t want to wait for parking, we just parked off of glenwood Avenue (about 2 street parking spots). Did this trail with two kids in tow (3 and 5 year old). Not one complained during the 3ish miles (including how far we parked from the trailhead). Plenty of shade when you get up to Gertrude-ord trail. Lots of benches.

My first time here. The uphill paths gave a great workout while the leveled paths allowed for some running. Amazing views this time of year.

Easy, quickly, refreshing

Really pretty ravine, and may be an easy hike, but this loop involves some single track that isn’t “easy”... didn’t make it off the main fire road with the kids.

Easy trails to take. A number of options. Some more difficult than others. The parking lot gets crowded early. If you’re going mid-morning, park towards town and walk in. A beautiful short loop of a trail.

A lot of bicycles so stick to the right.
A lot of dog owners, some leave their dogs with no leash so pick up your child when one comes.
Muddy after rains so bring decent shoes or boots but fine after a few hours as it slopes a lot.
The lake in the middle "water dog lake" is lame.

Pretty easy trail, middle of the city, 5 minutes from home so can't complain.
It goes either up or down so not a flat route.

My friends and I have dubbed this hike "booty blasters" because of the workout your butt gets going up the hill! The view at the top is worth the climb, especially in the Spring. Brought the jogging stroller last time and took the side trail back down the hill. Bad idea! Too narrow!!

This is a great hike. After the rain it was extremely slippery and we all 4 slipped and fell in the mud, it was so much fun but we averaged 2 hours. Should be a lot shorter in dry conditions.

Took my 3 yearold and had a great time. Parking is a nightmare and we had to park a mile away and walk in so be prepared. Also a TON of mountain bikers so watch out.

So many options for connecting trails. Lots of quiet spots to enjoy the amazing views. Great for children.

If you want to feel that you are in the middle of the Swiss Alps without getting an air ticket, do this hike. It's one of my favorite hikes around. I would say its a Moderate+ but rewarding none the less.

Gets the heart beating right from the start. Once at the top, there are more trails. Dogs are allowed off-leash.

Very dog friendly with beautiful views of the city and bridges.

Nice hike - a Livermore gem.

Great easy hike. Easy to find with parking nearby. Probably the nicest bathroom facilities at a park than I’ve ever seen. Except for one incline at the start, I’d probably classify this as more of an Easy hike than a Moderate one. We only ran into a handful of people, but we also went on an overcast day after it had rained in the morning so weather may have kept people away. Saw several deer up close and pretty views. Good for a casual hike.

Love it. 8-9 am is great time to hike this trail.

Solid hike mostly flat with a few uphill bursts that got the heart going

This trail gets very steep in sections once above the shade. We turned around at the Madrone intersection, 1 mile up. Then 1 mile back to TH. AT recorded el gain as 660' in the 1 mile up. Good views of Mt Diablo up at the ridge.

Great trail for October ...

Good hike. Was a nice comfortable distance. It's about half open space and half forest. Some good views and benches too.
