Pretty easy hike, no difficult terrain. Good for families with kids.
The official name of this trail is "The Boulder Loop Interpretive Trail" there are 15 numbered markers along the way. US Forest Service has a guide for this trail available here:

This trail is a great hike. We did do the Trail counterclockwise and it was a lovely hike. I want to go back and hike it clockwise to see which way is “nicer”.
There were some smaller trees down throughout the trail - easily maneuvered
We wore spikes as the path was packed by hiker traffic.
Note: When you cross the covered bridge from the parking lot take a right to the trailhead.

Love this place

great workout or beginner family hike with nice view.

Awesome!

Boulder Loop is a great intro to the White Mtns. The solidly moderate 900' ascent and gentle descent are a good workout, rewarded by spectacular views from the ledges up top. Our knees hurt the next day - but we're getting old. ;-) Hiking shoes and trekking poles advised.

the place is okay for a quick walk but I got home with a tick crawling on me.

We had a wonderful hike with our pup. Not too easy. Not too hard. Good investment in time. Outstanding views from the top. Could have stayed up on the ledges for hours.

We do this hike about ten times a year. The trail is a great morning get away. Only negative is to those of you that can't respect to dog leash rule, this weekend was a mess, enjoy the forest,,, respect the humans.

What a view! Rocky, with boulders, and roots make this trail interesting. A few steep spots but overall steady inclines. It was hard to leaVe the ledges. The view was so beautiful. We had them all to ourselves on a Saturday, after 3:00. You have to go back to the trail each time you go explore the ledges.

Fun hike

Great XC trail, plenty of down hills as well up hills to keep you in shape.

Really enjoyed our hike. We went counter clockwise and spent about half an hour at the summit. Personally, I'd rank the hike easy overall. There was a brief period of steep incline, but it was short and not technical. Be careful you don't miss the summit!

Great hike with super rewarding views at the top. Definitely follow the advice to go counter clockwise, glad we did. My dog loved it, too. Not too crowded, even in peak foliage season.

Great views!

We went counter clockwise as suggested. Much easier on the knees. Weather was great. Only a hint of leaf fall color change though. Another week or two and it should be perfect for this hike

Really great hike, trail is well-maintained and doable for all ages. Awesome views at the top as well as along the trail at look-out points. We took the loop clockwise just because I had forgotten about the suggestions from this app but it wasn’t terribly hard coming down.

One of my favorites hikes. It is always beautiful and the views from the ledges are great. Good views for the effort.

My first time visiting the White mountains and I loved this trail! My friends and I went counter clockwise, as suggested by other reviews, and were glad we did. I would rate the inclines this way as moderate. The views are unbeatable and the trail itself is just gorgeous. Make sure you don’t miss the main look out point. There is a small sign posted on a tree, so keep your eyes out so you can see the best view!

Nice hike with great views from the top. We went counter-clockwise, so the steepest part was encountered going uphill, not downhill.
Also, nicely shaded everywhere (except the ledges at the summit), which was great on a hot day.

Beautiful view

Great views at the end! Make sure you go all the way to the end of the trail. Some hikers we ran into didn't realize it went back so far and missed the best view. Do counterclockwise to save your knees.

We did this trail the same day as Champney Falls, as they are close to each other. Both were good ~2 hour hikes. Like some of the other posters, we went counter-clockwise and were very thankful for that, as the steeper rock steps were done going uphill vs. down. Nice views at the top ledges. Don't stop at just the first ledge, go down another 40-50 yards on a little path for the better views.

Went counter-clockwise which was more steep but in the end worth it bc the descent was much easier on my knees. Great views, even overcast!

Great hike with a couple of beautiful views and cool boulder formations along the way.

Wonderful hike! Views at the top are fabulous and worth the climb. We did it counter clockwise like others suggested and were glad we did! Much easier on the knees to do the steeper part going up. We brought our kids- age 6,8, and 11 and they did fine. Easy to moderate climb.

My husband and I did this hike today and had a wonderful time. As one reviewer said, there are lots of roots toward the beginning of this hike, but it is in the woods, so that’s to be expected. It was our first time, so I don’t know what the conditions are normally like toward the end of July, but there were several areas where we crossed tiny streams and babbling brooks; this may have been due to all of the rain that we had the previous week or so. Either way, it didn’t matter to us as it makes the trek more enjoyable. The views from the ponds, including that of Mt. Osceola and East Osceola, are beautiful! We also saw a solo loon swimming around the first pond as we sat on the “beach” enjoying our water and snacks. We don’t snowshoe, but would consider giving it a try here.

If your not a regular hiker, this is a moderate hike, we hiked clockwise, pretty steep and uphill with little respite. Views at top were well worth the effort. Would highly recommend this if you have couple of hours to spare

Great hike, took us about 2 hours to complete. Beautiful views at the top. Lots of rock “stairs”, our two dogs loved it. We camped at the covered bridge campground which is a 30 second walk away from this trail!
