hiking Map

Great area for exercise but I would say it’s moderate not easy. Just because there are so many steps and some double sized ones.
Tight edges in some places a little stressful when slippery due to weather and need to give way for in coming traffic to pass. I would recommend hiking shoes in this trail.
Some may find it challenging on the way down but consider this trail loops and double the work going up on the return.
Over all it’s a great area.

A relatively easy trail along the creek. Stairs leading up to where you can catch the side trail. Great look out points!

Magical moments of falling autumn leaves and mossy logs embedded in leafy carpets. Nice rolling pace gave nice diversity and bits of challenge. Lots of spin-off loops to extend and customize the kike like the "Dundas Valley Trail" combo in this app. It started off quiet and peaceful at 8 am, but got a bit busy and family-oriented by 11.

Great view in fall

Super easy trail in all seasons though if winters are warm it can be a bit of a skating rink ...nice for a continuous loop option under 5k

A little confusing on how the trails were marked. We started with a little mist and high 2 degrees but it didn’t matter.
We did extra km than what we expected but had a great time in such a beautiful place.

Nice fall family walk to the falls and back. Wide flat trail makes it an easy outing. Fire pit at the falls is an amazing payoff for the kids if you remember to pack the marshmallows!

Excellent trail. Well marked! Did 9km in about 90 minutes with my dog.

MAP is wrong. You need to drive to Tews fall parking. The map shows Webster falls parking. The trail is now private property. There is paid parking at Webster falls. Free parking at Tews falls.

TOO BUSY. Even on a weekday too crowded. The back side trail gets you to the same lookout point without the crowd. Nice fall views, but looking amongst various selfie takers.

Great trail not well market. Could get lost without guide.

Great trail - nice and wide along escarpment

Dundas Peak Close!!!!! This trail is too short and charge me20

We love this trail. My 3 and 5 year old kiddos can do it without being carried (well mostly) and every time we try a different trail on the way back we're rewarded with new (to us) amazing views. Highly recommend. Bring marshmallows and hot dogs for the campfire by the falls.

Great hike with lots of access to water edge! Some cool graffiti art to be seen on over-pass and some uphill jaunts too. Lots of wooded area with woodland creatures (squirrels, chipmunks, raccoons, birds, etc.).

Such a beautiful spot to hike! I love how there are many trails to choose from. Go for a quick hike or really spend your time there. You could get lost in that forest for hours (my favorite feeling). I only had the chance to do the main trail (with quick stops at hermitage ruins and the Griffith house) and seeing how lovely it was, I would absolutely want to return to do all trails, multiple times, and maybe even try biking. Gorgeous in the fall, well marked trails. Recommend throughly!

I really enjoyed this trail. for a sunny Saturday in September it was quite calm. about 6 horses, 4 bikers, and a half dozen hikers. many long stretches without seeing someone.

You can park near the baseball diamonds at the community centre, but you'll have a steep climb uphill at the end. to avoid that I would drive down the compacted gravel road to the end of the lane.

Beautiful trail. Very busy thanksgiving day. Did 6.5km with my family to the waterfall and around the reservoir. Pricey to park but trail is well maintained. Wish there was a per car load price

Just awesome. Vibrant fall colours and great hiking experience for all ages.

Moderate hike. First portion is quite easy going. The deeper you get the steeper it can be. Lovely views of the escarpment.

Love it in autumn. Great fall colours and beautiful waterfalls.

Basically a dirt road, decent for a stroll through the forrest, but not much variety and not worth the $3/hour parking.

Perfectly nice trail. Easy going. Nice views out towards Hamilton.
Ending was a little disappointing, you end up on top of the falls rather than below them and theres no really good view down.
Enjoyed the walk though.

Great trail - loved the stairs down to the waterfall! Cool to see over the edge, but could be dangerous if you don’t have solid footing. Will definitely do this trail again.

Great hike & we loved venturing off on the Iroquois Heights Side Trail/Loop too.

It is an easy trail, minimal hills, but also minimal views. Though there is a cool shelter built in part of the woods off the path. This is a pretty busy equestrian trail so you have to watch for the droppings. Also it isn't well marked where Sawmill turns. If you go left instead of right at one of the intersections you end up on Chickadee way which takes you off the loop. The nice part is if halfway through if you're done you can just take McCormack straight down to the main trail office.

Moderate trail. Great for bigger dogs, my lab had the best time, lots of water for him to splash in. Decent amount of people in the beginning but thinned out as you got further in. Parking is very limited but free. No garbage cans throughout the trail, just an FYI. Lots of diversity of scenery, enjoyable hike.

I'd go back for sure. It is pretty busy but that worked in my favour when my license fell out of my pocket and a biker found it and I got it back! Everyone I encountered was incredibly nice. I will say it can get confusing at some of the path intersections with the way they are marked (or unmarked) and the park's maps aren't really great at helping you out. This app was incredibly helpful and I was thankful to have it. Parking is cheaper depending on what lot you start at. I was at the Artaban lot which was $5 but you start and end with a long hill. The views were wonderful though and there is a lot of variety depending on what you are looking for.

Always love this trail, its simple enough for kids, but very good exercise!
