Fun hike close to home! Going on the *closed* trail off Mary's cave is our favorite that connects to the Highbridge trail. There are some amazing natural rock arches to be seen! The falls are the 'main' attraction but there is so much more to see and do here!

Trail clearly marked & well maintained.

great introductory hike for teaching our kids backpacking. There ages were 14, 11, 7, and 3. There are campsites at about the ¾ mi mark, and about the halfway point ( 3-3½ mi). Has plenty to keep it interesting for kids (Creeks, water, views, unique rock features) but not too long. Does have some cliffs/ledges to be aware of. Love this place!

Light House was great

neat trail that winds around and through some neat rock formations, very pretty. dog / kid friendly

Lovely easy trail along the ledges of large rock formations. The stairway created by the civilian conservation corps is really cool and worth checking out. The signage can be confusing. We ended up doing a loop on the happy days trail and then back on track with the ledges.

Fantastic hike today. The trail was slippery in a few places and there were opportunities to hop across streams. Very well marked trail. Beautiful wildflower meadow area at the back of the loop, so glad I opted for the longer hike even though it was sprinkling a bit.

Most enjoyable. The “Top of the world” is a wonderful spot for meditation or a little yoga. From there to the trail head can be a little noisy, being so close to Bath Rd.
Be careful in the rain.

Great views! On the harder side of moderate, definitely recommend doing the loop counter-clockwise.

Great hiking, great views, had a wonderful day hiking with my 5 dogs. We did the big loop 6.9 Miles. The black berries in the blow down area where amazing.

Wonderful trail, a mix of forested and open high field grasses. Does include some significant ups and downs which is nice but to be aware of. Wonderful couple hour hike.

Boooo! Mingo started out pretty cool with a nice incline with the stream on the left, but so is the road. After a couple miles, the trail crosses the road, which is where the trail used to loop around the other side of the stream. It doesn’t anymore. So I ended up looping back on the paved multipurpose trail...several feet away from the road. Not even a run-in with a big white tail buck saved this hike. But if you love being really close to roads and cars and stuff, you’ll love it.

Lots of cool birds doing the flying activity, including two bald eagles doing a little fishing. Plenty of herons and turkey vultures too. The lake is a cool backdrop to the hike, even if the terrain isn’t challenging. Too many people though.

this is definitely a hike. I would describe it as moderate in difficulty. there are some areas that are slightly overgrown but overall the trail is well marked with blue blazes. I am surprised that this is not called Zimmerman Trail as that is what it is named at the trailhead by Morton park or Mentor Marsh Nature Preserve. This is confusing for me because I wasn't sure if I was checking in on the right Trail. I looked up online and this is a roughly to my trail but you have to double back so it does make it about 4 miles total. there are some slight ups and downs and some areas do get muddy depending on the weather. I was able to see some deer bedded down very close to the trail and many birds and wildlife. I did not pass any other hikers and it felt secluded although you are pretty close to housing developments. overall I love this hike I wish that it could have been a loop rather than a double back, bring bug spray and check for ticks when you're done.

Beautiful scenery and nice creek walking areas. Some paved path, some gravel. Very simple hike/walk. Many birds and deer to see. Nice fire pit and view from the bridge. Lots of benches.

This trail was super fun! It was very unique and easy. There’s a really pretty scenic overlook if you cross the field too.

The trail path and surroundings are nice. We went left at the big tree. If you have dogs be very careful taking them here. There was quite a bit of broken glass in the beginning and scattered throughout that could have easily cut their paws. It's a shame people felt the need to break glass on the trail.

The hilly part of the trail provides a good workout and beautiful scenery. I saw only four other people on this trail during the entire time I was hiking. There are places where one can easily extend the hike by going into the F.A. Seiberling Nature Realm or other extensions.

Lots of ups and downs, great camping at the peak of the loop.

This is a very nice trail with some great scenery!

Beautiful views and stunning rock formations. Keep alert though because this trail intersects with others and we got turned around more than once. take a map with you.

just completed this trail for the first time in many years. I wanted to see the changes over the last 15 years. much of the trail is the same with the exception of two severe blowdowns which have occurred in the last few years. From what I was told there was a teenage girl who tragically lost her life during one of the storms. The trail is still quite and a great place to clear your head of all the day to day stress. I saw many deer for the two days I was on the minister and north country trails and many bear footprints as well.
This trail is heavily used at times in the summer months but you probably will not see many people.
