Did the 5K Turkey Trot today. Very cold but a fun run. I came in 36th overall and 3rd in my age group! So proud of myself and my daughter who burned up the course too! Fun run in the sun!

Nice place for a leisurely stroll. Can spend 30 minutes or 2 hours. Fall colors are awesome!

Great hike with Richard, Macy and Gronk!

Easy loop with benches and pretty views. Makes for a nice constitutional when in town. Lots of dog walkers, joggers somewhat distracting - but hey, it's in a city.

We went up the hills with dogs and it was nice.

Very nice stroll with benches along the walkway. Dogs seemed to be allowed off leash

Excellent trail. Well marked with some nice views along the way. Might be better suited as an Easy than Moderate, but a really enjoyable walk and hike. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area.

Easy trail, pretty views. You do walk around a huge water treatment plant, but it didn’t bother me.

I enjoyed the walk and the landscape was pretty on a fall day. The main paths are paved and there are a few smaller trails throughout the route that are unpaved but cleared. I had not walked there before and it was worth the trip.

It’s a great place to go hiking, biking dog walking or running!

The loop around the pond was a very nice, short walk. The trails are dirt and they are mostly cleared with a bit of an elevation gradient.

Many longer loops available. Pleasant well marked moderate traffic

Gorgeous, well marked

Took the paved trail. Nice moderately intense hike with a great view at the top!

Great place for a walk or trail run

Stunning views of Boston skyline.

parking is a pain, the pond is chained off and the area around it is not the nicest. would only go here if I lived within a few blocks.

Perfect for what we needed - an easy hike with pretty foliage.

Sooo many trails and not enough trail markers! Glad I had service and could use GPS to get back to the car. Beautiful terrain and scenery! The puppers and I will be back!

Great trail for somewhere to do a hike in the city and get a good workout.

Quiet little getaway just outside the city. Cross the bridge to the newton side and take the stairs down below the bridge to hear the famous echo.

Not too challenging, but uphill for the first half mile or so. Trails are very well marked. Maps along the way. Some traffic.

A wonderful little gorge with terrific views from the Echo Bridge aqueduct (dormant Sudbury Aqueduct) and the dam/falls below. The geology is interesting as the conglomerate rock that characterizes the area is said to be a combination of glacial pebbles and volcanic rock. The pebbles are obvious but I thought the conglomerate was formed via sedimentary deposits and metamorphic pressure/heat. That's what it looks like to me, it doesn't appear to be igneous rock. The source of the lava flow is thought to be an ancient volcano in West Roxbury somewhere. Cool rock at any rate, whatever it is. Check it out.

Wide variety of paths and difficulty for both hiking, trail running and mountain biking. It can be easy to get lost, so be prepared with a trail map if you veer off main loop.

Nice little trail. A good amount up hill. Gets your heart rate up, which I like. Tiny parking lot, but there is some street parking.

Beautiful and varied terrain. Only got a chance to wander for a bit, but this is definitely a place I want to return to and explore some more.

The trails are ok, but very poorly marked, particularly the one with the red blaze. Decent option if you are looking for something close to the city.

Lovely hike!
