Good sandwiches at the local deli nearby.

Easy without much excitement - beautiful view at the end though

I do love these easy, well marked trails. I just wish I could walk more of them with my dog. Only one trail is allowed for dogs.

For sure an ATV trail, no mistaking that. The one ATV we saw was driving respectively on the trail and even slowed down more and waved as he pasted by us. If you are looking for a good workout this is for you, with up and down little hills. Bring bug spray.

Close to perfection: steep, challenging climb from SR 160. Fabulous views in almost every direction from the bald North Peak. Trunk trail to Stone Mt. and it’s great southern views soft and little-used. You’re not going to see many people in this quiet part of western Maine.

Hard trail, but the views are worth it. Well marked and easy to find!

Favorite trail of all time. Definitely moderate and has tough stretches, but is a great hike with beautiful views. Get lucky and go at the right time of the year and there is also wild Maine blueberries at the top (walk into the bushes all the way to the right)!

This hike starts out by walking through a field of beautiful wild flowers. Once you pass through the tree line the trail steadily gets steeper and steeper. Once you get to the second viewpoint and take in the scenery the hike levels out but doesn’t really lead to anything

Went today with my husband, two kids (11 and 13 year olds) and our dog. We as a family go multiple times a summer to these trails. Love this hike. Wonderful day, hot at the top but so worth it.

Great hike with 9 year old, 6 year old, and dog. Took the Boys Chase Loop up to the summit. Awesome payoffs along the way for such a reasonable hike. Would recommend it to anyone with kids.

loved this hike, really pushed us to our limits. The top is worth it!!! I would go again.

Loved the hike!

So many rocks. If you’re wondering whether or not to take a detour up Stone Mountain, the answer is yes.

Really cute hiking area in Raymond. The Pismire bluff trail is quick but steep and the view makes it worth it. The highland loops trail could use a little grooming and there’s no views, but it adds some time to an otherwise short hike. Would recommend!

We did the Bob Chase trail for an easy 1.5 mile quick hike. If you’re short on time, it’s a well marked trail, very pretty through beech and birch forest with beautiful views and wild Blueberries at the summit.

This is my absolute favorite hike of all time. It is a steep climb at the top, but the view is so worth it. Even if you don't make it to the end, there are gorgeous views the whole way up.

We hike this one quite a bit. Its got a steep section near the beginning that is a good work out and the view from the top is decent. There are a couple spots where it's not completely clear where to go, but nothing too bad and overall its not too hard to find your way.

The path/road is wide and rocky. Some exposed rock and some smaller loose ones that could make for uncertain footing. There is a LOT of logging going on, and it looks fairly devastated in spots. Once you reach the clearing, walk straight ahead to the rocky ledge for some really great views of Shawnee Peak and the surrounding areas.

Excellent hike- fairly moderate on the way up. A few deceivingly steep rock faced sections. A newer little parking area with ample room along Mountain rd. The view, especially on a clear day, is well worth the hike. Highly recommend for a day hike- experienced hikers can be up in down in a little over two and a half hours or so.

Great hike with beautiful views!

Solid workout in the heat. Great views- not 360

This trail was quick and easy with a 2 year old on my back. The beginning is a little confusing with the bulldozer trails that are criss crossing right now. Once you’re past the first 1/4 mile it’s marked well and easy to meander through. The beach at the end is beautiful. Make sure to bring a towel!

Did the trail solo today. Good workout. I continued along Bald Peak trail back to Mountain Rd. The section from the summit along Bald Peak trail was fairly easy. It wouldn't be in the opposite direction. The 1.4 mile stroll from the Bald Peak parking area to the Ledges parking area was nice but traffic was a bit fast on that road.

Took my 2 teens on this trail today. they had a hard time in some spots because at times it does get a bit steep but we made it to the top and it was well worth the hike. definitely a hike i would recommend. it has a well defined trail, which is also marked with blue markers and in some spots there are stairs made out of rocks which was pretty cool to see.

Always start my season here. Gorgeous day on Sunday 6/10. Headed out on trail around 2pm, got up just before 3, had lunch, took some pics and read my book - almost bug free at summit!! About 40 mins down, both ways I took the blue trail. Love this spot, and although a full parking lot only ran into 3 other sets of hikers along the way! Steep in some spots, if you use poles you may need to pack em up for a few more “rock climby” areas ! Have easily done this trail with kids, novice hikers and dogs. Awesome always.

Incredible views. Solid workout. Would definitely do again.

A very fun little day hike, great for dogs and kids. Our 8 year old daughter has been hiking this with us since she was 6. Plan on about 3-4 hours, depending on how many breaks and how long you break for. Pretty views along the way. On summit most days you get an impressive view of Mount Washington.

You’ll want bug spray.

I started hiking last week and this is my second hike. All the trails are up and down for a nice leg workout. Some nice views. My Dog enjoyed it. Hardly any bugs and my Dog only had one tick. Good hike for the young and older folks.
