This trail is a favorite and has been for past three years.
It’s a great way to kick off spring. My grandson Marco (age 13) requested we hike today so we set out around 2:00pm and finished around 4:00pm. He loves everything about the two mile hike other than the litter and graffiti that a few (disrespectful) people create. Today we walked the trail and cleaned up what we could because we only had one trash bag with us.

Although a short trail it was an amazing hike with gorgeous overlooks and geological formations.

great for hiking, biking, and walking the dog. Beautiful

Been back there so many times. Beautiful, quiet, a peaceful place to think. Going off the trail to explore new areas is just as fun and staying on it. But be careful you dont accidentally wander onto the mountain biker trails. Almost got taken out a couple times by mistake!

A great lightly traveled trail with a major payoff at the end and plenty of challenge along the way. Wear waterproof boots!

Not too difficult. Lots of ups and downs. Nice hike.

Very pretty and easy hike

I spent a lot of time here on the trails as a teen. Now I enjoy hiking it as an adult. My favorite time to hike this trail is in the fall.

Another heavenly masterpiece
Nice paved trails
Not crowded on weekdays

This is a great trail and is not boring with the turns, a few small bridges and hills. You may see black or gray squirrels, owls and wildflowers in the Spring!

Make sure to wear flexible but sturdy shoes. No flip flops!! Very crowded on holiday weekends.

Whitetail trailhead was a little hard to find. Easy, quiet gravel trail through wooded area and alongside a creek. The small lakes are nice, fishermen were active. Homes are visible from most of the trail. Many trees down.

This trail felt like a hero's journey. It had it all - respectable changes in altitude, winding paths, wooden bridges and the sights and sounds of nature. As you approach the end of the trail, the castle and crown for the best trail-ending surfaces (no more spoilers). I highly recommend this trail.

Tons of wild flowers in the spring along the creek and in the woods on the hill above. I love this trail and hike it frequently throughout the year. Not too difficult. Easy to follow trail.

Nice trail with view of mossy boulders and small ravine. Tons of trees down from the microburst last fall. Very muddy. Short section with boardwalk. didn't spot any wildlife but heard some birds.

Nice little hike with views of Buttermilk Falls Creek, shale formations, and the falls. Standing water/muddy in the winter but relatively flat. Can be combined with All Purpose Trail and short distance from Sanctuary Marsh. Spotted deer trails and several squirrels.

My favorite local hike; I visit frequently and it never gets old. Great mix of woods, marsh, prairie, and rock formations. Some sections get a little technical, I would rate difficulty as moderate. The Boardwalk is currently closed. A few trails to choose from, including paved trails, and a lovely Nature Center with rocking chairs and a picnic shelter. Typically not crowded.

Good view of water, good location for hammocking

Brandywine Gorge Trail to Brandywine Falls. Only wish there was a viewing area for Falls from the floor of the gorge, walls may be too steep unless you follow the creek up for a quarter mile or so.

This trail is easy and the beautiful view makes any sweat worth it!

Beautiful hike. Muddy but fun!

If you like lakes, you should check out this trail.

I walked this trail for the first time - in the cold - and loved every second. Having that awesome view of the lake makes this trail second to none. A+++.

Quick 1/6mi hike to blue hen falls

Nice hike with hills and valleys. The trail was muddy for the most part but it is the end of winter and to be expected. Numerous hikers were on the trial as well so it must be pretty popular.
