Squaw lake is a gem. Trails are wide so whole family could ride around together or enough room to share with others. There were a couple of rope swings to jump in the lake for a refreshing swim. We swam with fish and skipped rocks. Definitely going back again.

Nice easy little hike!

Beautiful short hike to a nice waterfall and then farther on to another interesting almost falls where the water travels through the boulders.

Very easy hike! It had been quite a while since we went hiking, so it was a good getting-back-into-it trail. My dog seemed to like it too. Probably was too easy for him... Really nice views!

Easy access and a good simple loop hike.

Amazing hike...family friendly and great views. Took our 3yr old and she loved it

It was an okay trail. The trail itself is a little hard to find, but it was pretty to walk through and shady for the most part in the section in was in.

Wonderful view

good and easy trail to do with young children. we took our dog as well. the trail to isn't marked well, but from the parking lot head to the left and you will reach the falls.

This was a short and beautiful hike. The drive to the trail head is pleasant and not the least bit difficult.

Love this beach! Was at the coast this past weekend, did this trail twice!

Great for running, flat and easy. Beautiful view, trees, ferns, wild flowers, and sky. But I did not rate 5 stars because there is barely any view of the lake and it's very close to the road, so a lot of traffic noise.

OMG! I loved Pilot Rock!!! Pretty scary, though!! I really experimented so much fear when climbing up to the top, but it was refreshing, exciting! So much adrenaline!! I liked the views, but it was a little bit smoky and I didn’t completely enjoy that. I watched some videos in YouTube before we headed up, and that gave us the familiarity with the terrain and how to climb with confidence. I will recommend that if it is going to be your first time. Don’t let the scary comments hold you back on going. Some part of the road is not well maintained. The trail is not hard. We got lost in our way back because we missed the turn to the TH and we ended up in PCT trail for a while.

Nice and somewhat short hike. Go down the dead ends to see the waterfall or stream. Took about 20 mins. Stays cool on hot days.

Maps took me by a road that starts in Talent (it was the closer one) and it was a nightmare. The road, called Anderson Rd was horrible, not maintained at all and you have the impression you’re always lost. If you don’t have a truck and 4x4 it can be frustrating. The best route is by Jacksonville, taking Upper Applegate Rd and then Little Applegate Rd. These roads are pretty well maintained. The hike is short, but you can keep going by the next trails.

Great trail in an incredible area to hike in. Hiked too much today and my phone died. Hate it when that happens. Was able to charge it before I did the next trail in Grants Pass. Hats off to the Jacksonville Woodlands Assoc!!! A truly great place to hike.

Last trail of 7 for the day. Met a fellow Corgi owner named Dennis and shared the last mile or so. Also met another user of Alltrails but the arm that bike users use. He was helpful advising another way to do the trail I was on. Great day dedicated to hiking!.

Great trail!! My GSD and I went hiking on the Petard trail and had loads of fun!

My 1st time there. Took my dogs and did about 5 miles. Beautiful options and lots of trails, i’ll definitely go back and figure out the trail system better because we went a bit off course on accident and that always makes me nervous!

Dog shit central.

My wife and I hike this almost daily. There are many trials and a road that circles around.the mid point of the hill. There are great views of the rogue valley and the surrounding areas.

I hike this trail several times a year it is easy, but there are a few steep sections. There isn't much if any snow during the winter which makes it an excellent place to hike when other places are snowed in. A couple if years ago while hiking the trail there was a rattlesnake that buzzed at my dog on the edge of the trail. Beware if you are hiking with children. That was the only time I saw a rattlesnake but I have heard them a few times.

Great hike and view of the Rogue Valley/Medford area. Make sure to find the small path to rocky ledge area when you get to the top for the view. Great sunset views and even if you get locked in, there’s a number to call so rangers let you out lol

loved this hike!! First time on this trail brought my 5 year old and 2 year old. It was nice to be able to put my 2 year old down for majority of the hike. They only big issue I ran in to was where the map states where the trail head is. spent half an hour walking around with my kids before giving up and just going to mill creek. luckily Mill creek has a giant map that showed us where it was at. So if you go there it's about a mile after the bridge heading into town on Mill Creek Rd. Not at the bridge where this map has it marked.

A really good trail to hike. Moderate is a fair assessment, especially if you pick it up in the first parking lot where the picnic area is.

Perfect trail if you’re looking for an easy stroll-in-the-park style trail. Loops around Lake of the Woods and is great for pups and hikers of any level. Almost zero incline. Would carry bug-spray.
