easy hike with a wonderful ending!!!

Short and sweet. Some good, yet short, hills and a pleasant view of the little Lake Marie.

I'm so sad that this trail is closed. I had some really amazing memories there.

Went and hiked out to the waterfall with my wife on 4 Jan. Trail was muddy is some spots, but nothing severe. The suspension bridge was fun to cross and I enjoyed the lower view of the fall, which is going strong this time of year.

The hike was short and easy, even with the optional North Loop trail. Boots recommended.

Beautiful easy hike. The elevation is gradually and comes on at a steady pace. Took my wife and kids. Ages 5 and 6. My one year old went into my Phil and teds carrier and onto my back. Highly recommended.

Absolutely stunning in the spring.

Easy and beautiful walk down- challenging uphill hike back. And agree with the google maps review- DO NOT use it I got many new and unwanted scratches on my truck from the narrow road it took us on. It also got very foggy at about 3pm and made it hard to see on the drive out. The roads are mostly single lane so drive carefully.
If you have bad knees or are physically challenged in any way take some hiking poles and plenty of water.

Hiked in light rain and the trail held nicely. The North Loop was in good shape also. The approach road was easy in a rental sedan: paved all the way and about 16' wide. That said, I wouldn't try to get a camper up here: tight turns, low branches, and very little turnaround space at the trailhead. Loved this hike.

easy 2.6 mile hike. highly recommend it. the waterfall was super pretty and the bridge above it was very neat!

Beautiful, went in rainy December and the trail was in good shape.

Great trail for both the inexperienced and kids! Was able to go with my 3 nephews all under 8 yers old and my dog! Very pretty trail around the lake! Kind of sad it is not a loop trail but overall it was really enjoyable!

It was very overcast at the bottom of the mountain and I almost turned back. So glad I didn’t, the road to the trail head (Conners Camp) eventually came out on top of the clouds! The trail / hike was great although more snow towards the top than I was prepared for. View at the top was sunny but above the clouds so no coastal range or Three Sisters . Will come back in the spring!

This trail is full beautiful waterfalls. Just do not follow Google maps to go to the trailhead. Google Maps will take you on literally a very narrow jungle road. I suggest you use the day time for your entire trip because at night it gets extremely foggy in there. It reduces to visibility to only a few yards. All in all it was a great experience.

This is a great hike, the waterfalls are breath taking and beautiful.

You should know that the trailhead is in a very remote area of the coast range- the access roads are primitive and not maintained like a regular road. You will be driving on remote roads for at least 30 minutes to access this trailhead.

I strongly recommend following William Sullivan’s (Oregon Coast Range Hiking Book) driving directions to access the trailhead; do not use google maps. Google took me on a dangerous “shortcut”, a 6 mile detour on a 4X4 completely unmaintained logging trail. My car got scratched to shit. I could have easily gotten a flat tire.

On the way back, I followed William Sullivan’s directions in conjunction with apple maps; this was much safer (still gravel road with potholes, but much wider and maintained). I strongly recommend having a car with ground clearance.

All in all, great hike, and don’t be dumb like me and leave navigating up to google on this one; do some preparation in advance. Bring a GPS or detailed maps. Happy trails

Just did this a few days ago and I’ve done this hike multiple times. It’s a perfect little day trip (coming from Eugene) and the falls are gorgeous!

Easy fun trail

This is a nice, easy trail with a great view of the waterfall!

This is an easy kid and pet friendly hike

I did this trail yesterday. It was full of fog and very mystical among the huge trees. I'm not a great hiker, but this wasn't too hard. There are plenty of places the trail flattens out to give you a break. The ocean views along the Oregon Coast Trail are beautiful. We only passed maybe 5 other parties the whole time. I'd do it again.

Suspension bridge great bonus.

Incredible day we had for this hike! We could see Mt Hood, Jefferson, Three Sisters, the ocean, and the beauty of the forests as far as you can see. Perfect distance and elevation for a fun hike with friends. You do need a forest pass.

This was a great hike with mild elevation change. Went on a clear day and the view from the peak is amazing. On one side you have mountains and the other you see the ocean.

My dog and I hiked this gorgeous trail today. Super easy, well maintained, awesome suspension bridge across the creek and adjacent to falls, beautiful falls.

I really like this trail except when you leave the public lands and run into the gorse. The sign says beach access but is very impossible to get to because of the horse.

Amazing hike! Can’t wait to come back in summer to splash in the creek.

Very busy trail, but super cool waterfall and bridge. Go when no one else is there (weekday).

Really nice trail walk to the suspension bridge and waterfall! This is an EASY trail with a pretty grand ending, therefore it draws a lot of attention-ie other hikers, kids, etc. If you want to avoid people, I’d aim for hiking it on a weekday morning. Otherwise, expect to share the experience :)

Started this hike in the later afternoon on 10/21/18 and was glad I brought the headlamps for the trip back down the mountain. There are many trailheads in this area and I was glad I picked this one. I always try to use map my ride app to track steps, distance and time which read 6.52miles. We did have to take the left at the very top because the marked trail on all trails was closed. Very enjoyable hike with several changes in terrains. It will get your heart rate up with the constant uphill that which is gradual to moderate. There is a bathroom at the trailhead and there is a $5 parking fee unless you have northwest forest pass.

A great hike and less traffic on a Monday early afternoon.

A great, easy hike for the whole family to enjoy. Easily our favorite hiking spot to take the kids along on.
