easy hike, not too many people were there which made it nicer.

This is the best hike I’ve ever been on! It was so beautiful, you see everything from a stream, huge rocks, wildlife (we saw a huge snake on the trail) AND there’s a bunch of shade. Not to mention, we only saw about 4 different groups the whole time we were on it, which was a Saturday. It was a little hard to find at first but man, id recommend this trail to anyone!

Great hike. First 2.5 miles is along a dirt road with little to no shade. Not overwhelmingly exciting. When you get to around 3 miles in, the fun starts. Its hiking through thickish bush and concluding with a bit of light climbing uphill. In August the waterfall is more of a rockface, but it's a cool little area to relax nonetheless. I'd definitely do this one again

Nice shaded trail but steep to get to falls. Hard to find trails or where to park.

8/4/18 - Came here with my boyfriend and 6month old pup. It was hard to find the entrance but we lucked out by seeing another couple Park and climb up. If you see the Lake Hills sign that’s where you begin your hike. I’ve lived in Corona for 14 years and the first time hiking here so it was beautiful! Didn’t know Corona had hidden treasures. This hike was not so long and easy to follow with the colorful graffiti guiding you.

we met up slightly after the sunrise for a relatively cool hike, despite the season. The beginning of the trail is paved, but quickly hits dirt. The trail eventually finds sanctuary from the sun as the canyon narrows. It’s a pretty easy trail, and I recommend it for any beginner looking to lengthen their hike. the area by the mine is nice and shaded. The hike to the mine is relatively short, extend it for the full sunset loop trail.

Hope you enjoy!

it was a fun hike but there were a lot of yellow jackets

the trail was great not much water but still a great view and great pictures. but like everyone says the last part of the hike is all up hill to get back to your car so defiantly prepare for a work out

A beautiful water fall.

WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE. Loud, trash littered by the trail, and people playing music from their phones while walking on the trails. If you’re seeking solitude and a dip in the lake to cool off this is not the spot for you. Probably best to go on a very early morning. The location is beautiful, but the cons far outweigh the positive aspects in my opinion. Could probably be a better hike if you go further into nature away from the lake.

Started from Big Tujunga Cyn road, as the gate to the trailhead was locked. Started out at 7:20 AM. It was dry, but very beautiful vistas the whole way. I rate this trail intermediate. Sun hit me at 8 AM where the trail is high on the ridge. Took some pictures of the falls and back to my car at 9:20. Al in All, a really awesome hike.

Great trail, although a little overgrown. The atmosphere shifts several times throughout the hike, keeping it surprising and interesting. BRING: bug spray, the mostly-fired river bed is a mosquito haven. Also, perhaps booties for your dog too - as the asphalts the summer (it was 96 out) on the way back will burn their paws.

Nice day hike. Wasn’t much water at the waterfall but did find a garden snake and turtle there.

Nice short hike with some water to get your feet wet. Family friendly with lots of shaded areas to relax.

Beautiful

Lots of rocks, would recommend hiking shoes and water shoes for when you get to falls. It’s really nice though, I’m for sure going back.

To get to this trail hard you have to walk 2.5 miles down a fire road. It is flat and easy. Once hitting the trail head it is a 1 mike hike up to the falls. Mostly light bouldering. This is where it earns its rating.

The beginning of the trail to the waterfall is easy. If you decide to continue up the trail to the left you’re at an incline until you reach the Deer Valley Loop. That’s another mile-ish loop and then you go back down the way you came.
There isn’t much shade on the trail, only when you reach the abandoned structures along the way.
It’s really woodsy in some areas with streams, and there are lots of birds & lizards. Overall very beautiful, and quiet on the harder trail.

great hike, shaded most of the time, beginning isn't as shaded. wear good hiking shoes lots of rocks. It definitely is a better hike when water is running but still a good workout.

The trail was nice, and had a lot of shadows. But the entrance was hard to find. You have to go in front of the camp, then follow the pavement until you see a dirt road.

Definitely on the easier side of moderate but a very nice morning hike. beginning is a mix of shaded and exposed sections of trail with light incline criss-crossing dry river beds which is expected in mid July.

Hiked to the Old Indian Village. A fun hike!

The waterfall itself is currently a trickle ending in a small pool. It’s still pretty. The hike to get to it was lovely, very green, lots of shady trees. Like folks have already mentioned that last half mile back up to the parking lot is rough and exposed. Almost no shade. Be prepared to sweat and get a good thigh workout. Also watch out for the gnats that follow you all the way through the hike. They wouldn’t let up!

A little harder than moderate at some of the road diversions. Warm and sunny! Loved it. You can see the ocean from some spots.

Lots of shade, nice breeze and beautiful. Trail is easy at first but steep towards end. A lot of people. . Not enough water for waterfall in July. Didn’t see the heart rock - don’t know if you have to climb down rocks to see it.

Beautiful day for a hike to the falls. So disheartened to see the graffiti along the way. I support art and expression, but please don't use Mother Nature as your canvas.

It was a good easy hike, it is definitely kid friendly, had a good time.

Not long, but very rocky. Well w o rth it.

Great walk, beautiful views with a refreshing stop at the falls. The only problem is people trashing the place and not taking care of the mess they leave behind.

Great hike!! The ruins are quite interesting. Nice that they have a write-up on the home that used to be, complete with pictures. The falls were very nice, even though a bit light, as there has been no rain lately.

We wanted to take the entire loop, so we made the decision to follow other hikers’ advice and start out on the Rising Sun Trail. Taking this way gets the steep incline portion out of the way in the first leg of the hike, which really helped to make the rest more enjoyable.

At first we thought the falls were closed, because of an early sign saying “area closed”, but this is misleading. There is another way to the falls just behind the ruins, as this was essentially their back yard.

The way back alternated on a paved road and hopping over the tiny stream, and it was really nice...easy.
