Hit the trail around 9:30 and it's easy to see why this is the most popular hike in the state. The held up nicely. The parking lots was quite full by the time I left around 1.
We arrived at 9am on a Saturday. Plenty of parking ($5- takes card) and didn’t pass too many people on the trail! The total loop took about 2hr45min with plenty of photo stops. The trail was well maintained and it was really cool walking behind some large falls.
Wonderful
Very awesome and well-kept, really low foot traffic in the morning/ mid afternoon and pretty much everybody wore a mask and social distanced. Very fun and easy hike for the family.
I saw some of the odd reviews that it is a ‘sidewalk’ or easy. Try doing the real trail. Start at Ruley trailhead and start hiking towards Vernonia. There are very technical sections closer to Vernonia. Challenging up around Nehalem ridge.
One of the most beautiful hikes I’ve been on! I paid the $5 parking fee which allows you to stay there until the park closes. From the parking lot I went left past the restrooms and was immediately stunned by the beautiful waterfall to start my hike. After that, there was waterfall after waterfall and I’m really glad I followed the route recommended and recorded for you to view here on AllTrails. The only thing I would possibly change is the last portion of the trail after Canyon takes you alongside some roads and there isn’t much of a view until you loop back to the parking lot. This is also a good link for info: https://www.oregonhikers.org/field_guide/Trail_of_Ten_Falls_Loop_Hike. Have fun - and keep the trails clean!
We absolutely LOVE this hike. My 13, 12, and 8 year old clocked in at 9.9 miles with the wife and I (Of course with tons of snacks!). There were some muddy spots, which is to be expected this time of year, plus the bazillion waterfalls! We plan on doing this again this spring. Definitely repeat worthy!
I started at 9 am on a Tuesday morning, and it was perfect. I was alone on the trail 95% of the time. I got to watch the forest wake up and the lighting was incredible. Absolutely breathtaking.
Hello. So I did the 6 mile loop for the other I cheated for the n falls and drove to this one and did 15 min back and forth instead of another 3 miles. Beautiful trails and waterfalls
It was great, you call behind 3 of the powerful falls!!. I started at the winter falls and was planning to see the 4 waterfalls/ 2 miles nearby and go back but there was a steep decent down for 1 mile so kept going for the loop and this way much better, there were stairs in South falls that I got to go up. I don't feel I had toouch of a steep acsent going north then West loop back. Also as not the first 2 miles/ 4 waterfalls took me 1 hour. The rest took me 2 hours. Not that muddy, walkable. Lots of people. Lots of masks too. Also some dogs. Beautiful. I hope I make it back to make the other 3 mile loop but quite a drive.
Gorgeous big waterfalls and well maintained trails :)
Great hike and waterfall views! Just be prepared for crowds and wet conditions.
Muddy, crowded. Beautiful falls.
Great! Definitely worth it.... beautiful views! fresh air!
Very chillax family friendly walk/hike that allows you to see (or hike behind) multiple waterfalls in a hike.
Beautiful hike. Not too difficult I would rate it easy to moderate. Very crowded when we got back to the parking lot, would recommend starting early.
This is the third time I'm visitng this park, never saw so much water before! Was elated! Perfect time to hike this park!
Perfect day on a perfect trail. All the waterfalls were absolutely huge. This is one of my favorite hikes in Oregon. Not too many people on the trail which was really nice. One spot where I had to scramble over huge downed trees but the rest of the trail was very clean.
