Great for puppers and not bad in the winter

Best view of SLC I’ve seen.

went yesterday. this is right off the road, just a few steps up the gully. it's mostly frozen over. so glad I had my spikes on. the trail right now goes right up on top of the frozen creek, so be careful on the ice. very pretty! cant wait to go back in the spring!

Great for dogs, great for views.

Fun to hike with family and friends. A little steep on the way up but overall a chill hike. We were able to access it easy even in the snow because it’s used quite often.

Gorgeous views. Loose gravel near the trailhead, two areas where the path (briefly and slightly) narrows closer to the top. We were happy to have Yaktrax and trekking poles.

Pretty waterfall. Super short hike. It took me longer to cross the road at the S curve than actually hike to the falls. I went left after crossing the road and starting into the trail. I followed the footprints in the snow, and they crossed the river to the left hand side , but you can't get too close on that side, and then they went back and crossed to the right hand side and got really close to the falls. It was a little stressful crossing the snow covered stream and hoping the ice is solid underneath, but I kept using my sticks to make sure it was solid and it was pretty hard. I did a 360 degree StreetView trail here, if you want to view it, it is on Google Earth, and my blog https://www.shaunasadventures.com/2019/01/360-adventure-hidden-falls-and-mill-b.html?m=1.
It was nice to pair it with walking up Mill B trail to the picnic area for the river is so pretty and it is right there.
I have to add that even though this was a nice hike, they don't plow the parking lots so parking is stressful along the road. Also, I had to drive about 10-15 minutes up the road to finally find a safe place to turn around when I wanted to go home. I saw people stuck trying to turn around in not safe spots, and I felt so bad for them, but I was terrified of helping and getting stuck myself. Just FYI.

Great hike, breathtaking views

This is a great little walk. The falls are easy to get to and it is a beautiful area. It is great in the summer and amazing in the winter.

Easy for families, even those with young kids.

Nice and easy hike with some loose gravel on the way up, the view at the end is pretty awesome if it’s not too crowded.

Not the hike we expected. "Best used" through October is more than a suggestion. Once Brighton resort is open for the season, hikers need to take the "uphill route" on Milly Access / Lost Maid and then exit the Wren Hollow gate to out of bounds. We looped around Dog Lake and made it up to the overlook of Lake Mary. Didn't have any backcountry gear/beacons and definitely would have wanted them if we were to go any farther towards Lake Catherine.

Went on 08Dec18. A couple of areas where spikes are useful, not bad at all for this time of year.

Took me 1 hr to get up in the snow, with a dog, a random rappel at the first falls and a couple of stops to grab some good ol' h2o. It only took me under 30 min to get back to my car from the"top" --I like to trail run down. Would recommend.

I went up here with my family this summer. Only a 2-minute walk to a pretty cool waterfall. Super quick and easy, but super fun too!

I redone this hike again today. I love the views it gives and the many trail options. I've been to this hike 4 times maybe and each time have done another route. I even saw another route I will do the next time I go. Beautiful views of Lake Utah, The Valley and The Wasatch. Would be a great spot to watch the sunset too. There is one sheepish hill so wouldn't rank this easy but if your an avid hiker then it will be easy. Dogs can be off leash on part of the trail and have to be leashed on others. The trail also isnt a trail per say as it is a vehicle track.

Nice short hike, a bit washed out with some loose rock areas. Views are well worth it!

We hiked to the suspension bridge and did the loop back to our car. The bridge looks magnificent and the hike is nice with great views. The beginning is a little steep, but then loops around and quite and easy hike from the bridge down.

Great hike for all experience levels. When I went, there were plenty of families with kids, trail runners, and pups on the trail. There was no snow or frost when I went.

I got plastered by artificial snow makers trying to find the trailhead by the Brighton Ski resort, but once found it was a great hike! It was fairly quick, even with the snowfall on the ground. I loved skipping rocks on the frozen lake and hearing those cool Star Wars noises.

Difficult on the way down due to slippery gravel. Great view at top! Good hike with 2 eleven year olds.

On a clear day, it is a STUNNING view. Even on a smoky day, it’s still beautiful. It’s a steep hike up and not marked. However, it’s pretty self-explanatory. It’s well-traversed enough. You get to this first lookout area that’s flat, which means you’re almost there!

Absolutely beautiful and an easy hike! The water fall is half frozen and stunning. Definitely would recommend!!

Excellent hike this morning. Predawn start to catch the sunrise from the top. Fresh layer of snow 1-2inches. The streams are frozen over enough to support my 200+lbs. Didn’t attempt the lake although it looked pretty thick. Plenty of deer to be seen and some moose tracks.

We went right after it rained, so the fall colors were extra pretty! About halfway up we hit some heavy fog which was really cool, and made for a great fall hike! Haha, your pants will get wet from brushing along wet grass if you go after rain

Did this trail yesterday, it hard to follow the trail with the recent snowfall and quite slippery due to icy areas, but worth the challenge and inspiration for capturing both visually and mentally the solitude of this area. Simply beautiful.

Hike is fun and gives a great view over SLC. You park on the road and walk up. Look for the Yellow sign with numbers as this is the start of the trail - there are no signs for it. TV remote is a nice touch.

This trail is a lovely trail. The only big hill is at the bridge and if you don't want to do the loop back to the bridge there is a trail that will take you directly to the bridge so you can bi-pass it. We went up the hill and around. In total we crossed 3 bridges, a rock cave formation thing and saw the beautiful panorama of the valley. I would say this hike is easy without the big hill. If you add the hill I would say moderate. But I am a weekly hiker.

Beautiful view! Just like most people describe, this trail delivers a nice short, challenging jaunt.

I've read in other blogs that it is recommended to extend your trip to Mount Wire, a continuation of the Living Room Trail. I also recommend the summit Mount Wire to the old radio tower (breathtaking), but I would say taking the southeast route to the summit FIRST would be much easier (counter clockwise). That stretch is steep with loose rock scree and is difficult coming down. That way you'll have the Living Room to reward yourself with on the descent.

If you're just doing The Living Room, that is great too.

Very beautiful and enjoyable, however there are a lot of different trails and none of them have a marker so you kind of have to figure it out yourself. Good luck.

Did the hike just after sunrise on 11/3. We were the first ones out and back after a snowfall from the previous night, so we ended up losing track of the trail a lot. (Easy hike in the fresh snow powder, just hard to follow the true trail with so many side trails) The lake was completely frozen over but not yet completely snow covered. Looking forward to coming back in the summer.
