Alert! Don’t hike during rifle season! The trails were swarming with rifle hunters and we weren’t aware and had no blaze orange. PA allows hunting in their parks.
Trail was well marked and had nice views.

Great trail! Went in the fall, very muddy and had some streams. Slight incline and declines but nothing kids and adults can’t handle. Great views of the river, with many opportunities for photos!

was a very relaxing hike. Took 15 Cub Scouts, ages 5 to 10, on this trail and they all made the 2 miles and enjoyed a nice hot lunch afterwards! Great trail for a day hike to get out into nature, great for a young family!

Took a group of tiger cubs up and back. Worked well for the kids and parents. Very easy hike with a nice reward for the kids.

Fun trail to hike. Nothing strenuous, but enough uphill sections to get you to break a sweat on a cool fall day. The Cascades did not disappoint. We went after a day of rain, so Meadow Run was flowing nicely. Flat Rock likewise was quite picturesque. And the hike along the edge of the Run down to the Slides was a treat (even if a bit of the trail was under water at the time forcing us to hop from rock to rock in sections). If you like the classic Laurel Highlands nature (hemlocks, ferns, Rhododendrons), you'll love this trail.

Very rocky. Otherwise a nice trail. I’d rate it as moderate not easy due to incline and rocks.

Nice hike with a few ruins from an earlier time. Really nice view about 1.5 miles in from trailhead. Trail climbs steeply at times to the ridge a lot of rock formations but limited views, possibly better when leaves are off. Trail follows the ridge before dropping down to the parking area. Purple blazes are hard to see at times, red blazes are more obvious, but the path is well worn and easy to follow.

I enjoyed this trail. Because of needing a knee replacement, this trail was more challenging for me than it would be for others.

Got a little lost after reaching the view at the top. Followed the red-orange/lavender blazes. Brought me to Scenic Trail entrance, just a few hundred feet from where I parked at McCune trailhead.

Beautiful falls, easy short trail.

great trail but during heavy rains it can be soggy in some parts. signage is mostly great.

We hiked from the trailhead off Dinner Bell Rd. to the Cascades. Very nice walk, but some pretty steep sections. Hiking shoes are a must, as well as possibly a hiking stick. Check out the climbing rocks before the falls, then take the low trail at the bottom to the falls. It's a bit shorter.

on Cat Rock

This trail is deceptively easy at the beginning but is quite challenging for beginners in the last 1/4 of the trail prior to Cat Rock. I loved it!

Beautiful river with browns and rainbows

Easy trail but you could hardly see the waterfall.

I would rate this trail as moderate due to the steeper rocky section if you are headed to the natural water slides. You should definitely wear supportive shoes for this trail. And if you are hiking just for the slides, there is a parking lot right by them so you dont have to hike in.

It was an easy trail, some spots were rocky but lots of beautiful views.

I would say this is an easy to moderate hike. A very scenic trail between woods, waterfalls and rocks. Can get fairly crowded on summer weekends on Meadow Run. I would avoid attempting after rain as parts can be very muddy. Beautiful fall trail.

This was a great hike. I attend this trail with park ranger to test senses in the dark. Also, great views nearly full moon.

Nice short hike through the woods to the falls. Can get pretty crowded and you are close enough to the road to hear car traffic the whole way. A lot of people jump off the boardwalk to climb up the falls.

Nice, easy trail. Saw a whitetail and the falls were pretty!

Great...I'd definitely do it again.

If you hate snakes, be prepared. Not small snakes either. This hike is beautiful and super fun to explore and walk close to the water but there are a lot of water snakes on the rocks and trails. The vegetation reminds you of being somewhere tropical. Easy, relaxing hike. Great hike for all that enjoy hiking and exploring. You should wear hiking shoes, I saw multiple people wear sandals and there are many places to trip and fall. The trail isn’t flat by any means, and you need to watch where you step.

Great hike. Ohiopyle was packed but this hike wasn’t. Unlike the lots for cucumber falls and the slides, the parking lot is large and not many people on this trail this Saturday. I wouldn’t consider easy though with all the steep hills and how muddy the trail can get. I highly recommend hiking boots, even though it hadn’t rained the trail was extremely muddy and slippery. Exploring the rocks where the cascades are, are also extremely slippery. Pack plenty of water, even though shady hiking in August it was hot. Great place to stop, relax and have a picnic! This hike wasnt highly trafficked at all to the cascades but it is difficult to locate and not marked very well to the cascades, luckily we won’t the guessing game.

This should be reclassified as easy it is completely just a walk in the woods.

Beautiful...lots of fern, very little rock, nice hill climb to get the heart pumping

Super easy trail. Great for kids.

We visited the falls after a few good days of rain and the flow was amazing. The signage at the trailhead shows it as a 1/2 mile out and back. To make it a loop you must take the cliff trail for a bit.

I took my 2 and 4 year old on this trail and it was the perfect training wheels trail. A couple muddy bits and a few hills but very well maintained. Also moderately trafficed.

The trail head is easy to get to. It's just directly over the Bridge from 'downtown' Ohiopyle . Fun trail climbing over rocks near the water. I started the trip clockwise (by mistake) and when the trail started heading into the forest, I wanted to stay by the water because it was just so nice that I just followed the trail back the way I came counterclockwise- took about an hour to do it that way and I just skipped being in the woods cuz they had some mosquitos. The highlight is really being by the water.
