Great trail, very busy. Big incline at the beginning of the trail but gets easy near the top. It’s a rocky trail. There’s $5 over flow parking which was nice.

Great trail and great views. My kids (14, 11, 8) hiked it with no problem. I would give it 5 stars but there was a lot of people and many of them rather push you down the trail then be considerate of others in narrow areas of the trail. Very good trail!

Great hike, nice views from the top. hiked up

Easy trail with great views. A very nice light hike.

great trail with amazing views

Got turned around at Panorama Point due to snow but still incredible!

the parking area is private property and you get charged to park by a sketch dude. just passed the gate, it's state park land so it's a little frustrating that there is no free access. we only paid for the ghost town parking buy where able to walk to the river from one of the side trails after the gate for the ghost town. the ghost town trail was unbearably sunny the day we went with no shade until you went toward the cemetery. there are some structures to the right of the fork when you get to the coal cart. there is a subtle sign that says private property but we went about 1/4 mile passed and stayed on the trail. no shade on that fork nearly killed me but I get it's been unseasonably warm this time of year.

Great views, just be prepared to be in a sheep line with the tourists on the way up and down when it’s busy. If you are athletic at all, this hike is super easy - would not call it moderate. Hop over the fence to get better shots without the railings or tourists in the way.

Arrived at about 9 AM and the lot was already full so we had to sit in a fifteen minute long waiting line. Once we got onto the trail it was a pretty moderate hike, I hiked it through with flip flops and made it easily so what ever shoes you decide to wear should be fine. After a little while there was a long strand of stairs which seemed to be the hardest part. But all in all it was a fun hike and the view was pretty

Saw a bunch of marmots, chipmunks and even a mountain goat! Also on a clear day gorgeous views of Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Adams.

Cool view of Mt. Adams, St. Helen's, Hood in the distance at the point. Not to mention Mt. Rainier. Followed a couple marmots up the trail. Not as crowded later in the day.

Great hike. Went with four kids ages 4,6,7, and 8. They all enjoyed it. Still snow on parts of the trail.

Absolutely breathtaking views. Hiked this with my 10 year old daughters. Had a wonderful time. Good shoes or boots are a must and bring plenty of water. Get there early to avoid the crowds and find parking. Plan for a lunch break at panorama point. STAY ON THE TRAIL! Oh and there is a vault toilet at panorama point.

Beautiful waterfall and the river is really nice to hang out by after hiking. If you have a baby I definitely recommend baby carrying, the trail is too rocky and steep for a stroller. The hills walking back are steep and a little difficult but it’s a great walk.

Excellent and challenging hike for a 1.5 miler. Super busy but totally worth it for the views! Love this side of the island.

wasn't to sure where to go, as nothing is marked. after a decent incline we came to a sign pointing to the cemetery which consisted of a few tombstones. we then proceeded to an area of dilapidated buildings which was very interesting, just wish they were labeled or had info boards. we kept going to the "Y" and decided to go with the fairly steep switchback that took us to a summit like view point. on our way out we took a side trail that ended up on the river which was refreshing and beautiful.

Hike #4 ✓

Wonderful views, excellent trail conditions and stunning parasailing at the top...but I’m not posting any pictures of those things. My wife and I along with our Golden Retriever did this hike last Sunday on 7/15; Seattle set a record high temperature of 93 degrees that day. While we had planned well for water that day, we were out by the end of the hike (our dog was well rested and well watered during the day) and all 3 of us were looking for shade and more water...none of which are present at the parking lot. We were overjoyed to find water and shade provided in the parking lot. Truly picture worthy-THANK YOU ACROPARAGLIDING!

Great hike up to a spectacular view of rattlesnake lake. This was a little heart pumper going up, however completely manageable. We got there on a Monday around 10:30am and there was plenty of parking.

This is a fairly easy trail to do but gets so busy with tourists! Parking was a nightmare. The view was great but there are certainly a ton of other great trails on Oahu to do if you want to avoid a ton of tourists! Still enjoyed it!

If your a beginner, don't do this. Not to mention it's already over crowded. This is not a starter. Do some easier hikes then do this one. It will be worth it!

The first part of the trail is paved. It is quite demanding bc of how steep it is. We had our 4 year old with us. Made it to the Panorama Point and kept going despite the initial plan. We ended up doing 2x the distance of the loop bc the split of the trails wasn’t marked or was still under the snow. We ended up at the Reflection Lakes and had to go out on the road to ask for a ride up to the Paradise Inn. Before we went on the hike we talked to a couple who had the same happen to them but at the time weren’t applying it to us as we didn’t think our 4 year old would last that long. Something for the park rangers to fix. What could have been a fun walk ended up being a frantic trail running to get to the road while we still had some ambient lighting after the sunset. Hiked inadvertently 8 miles. If we got on a trail early during the day and got “lost” it would have been fine but bc we started late it was unnecessarily stressful.

it was an easy trail to the top. you will see the sign of a teen who passed away by falling from the cliff. so one thing to be noted: please be aware and conscious. the view from the top was blocked as it was cloudy. but worth a try for its nearness to the city of redmond

Hiked this in flip flops as I forgot my sneakers on vacation. If I can do it in flip flops, anyone can do it! The “cardiac stairs” are brutal but the rest of the hike is quiet and manageable as far as gain goes. The view at the top is worth any fatigue you have on the way up!!! Go through the bunker....so cool.

Great hike. Gorgeous views. My grandkids loved playing in the lake. We will definitely do it again.

Nice walk, but can’t reconcile what it is with the price and admission. We met a couple on the path asking the same thing we’d been saying: “Is this it?” I’ll stick to my free hikes.

We arrived at the trailhead at 8:40am today. We find a parking spot in the parking lot. The trail was not very busy when we hike. The view at the top was stunning! It’s a relatively easy trail in my opinion, not so much as moderate. When we hike down, the amount of people gets larger and we feel fortunate to start early.

Long initial climb about 1500 vert. in about 2 Miles, then becomes more gradual. Beautiful panoramic views, phenomenal views of the glaciers, amazing wild flowers, but no dogs:(
