Sunrise hike here is amazing!

trail was in great shape. it’s not an easy hike but worth it to get the views and my dog loved it.

It’s a long hike but the lake is beautiful. The water reflects the surroundings and it looks like a mirror.

It’s a nice trail.

Hard but worth it

Good workout on this trail today. Muddy in a few spots but overall good. You’ll face your fears on the bridge.

Went with a few friends and it was amazing. I loved following the curve of the hill. :)

Hiked to Lake 22 on Saturday and the parking lot was full and slightly icy. Had to park across the street in the entrance of the second lot, as that was completely covered in snow and a car got stuck trying to go in. The hike is really pretty easy, definitely icy and lots of snow. The lake is starting to thaw and there was a high avalanche warning, but it seemed safe to me. Super beautiful!

Beautiful day for a beautiful hike. Mix of dirt, water, slush and snow. Threw on the spikes about a quarter miles from the lake just to get there faster. Lots of people and a tight trail when you have to pull off to let people pass, you’ll go down a snow hole.

03/11/18 - Beautiful as always. Lots of snow for a majority of the hike, a mix between slush at the bottom and packed at the top. Poles were helpful and I did not have trouble without microspikes, although there would definitely be benefits to having them.

Bring sunglasses!

Nice easy hike. Muddy and wet at some spots. Lot was full after noon.

Beautiful day for a hike up and back, watch out for some ice near the top.

It was a fun and beautiful hike. It is dog friendly too! Be careful if you have a water loving pup because you will get splashed a few times.

Awesome trail with some spectacular waterfalls!

Nice walk through the woods. The kiln is pretty cool. I would go again, but it isn't one of my favorites.

Loved this hike!

Fun day with kids. We stop about 3 tenths from the top and came back down. We had not planned for the ice at the top. We will definitely go back to complete the trail.

Great trail! Beautiful views near the end and the uphill and downhill are perfectly separated! So much fun!

Woo! Quite the buttkicker in that much snow!! Heather lake is completely covered and the pup and I had it all to ourselves until a crying baby showed up! Gorgeous day in all well worth the workout to the top.

Nice moderate trail. The access road was a little treacherous and I would not attempt without 4 wheel drive. The hike is manageable with micro spikes, but snowshoes would be best. There is deep powder about half way up the trail with a lot of post holing. The lake area was all covered with snow, but still had pretty views.

trail running

I ran this trail in the evening and there was a pretty good crowd but everyone was very gracious in letting me get by. It was a challenging run but nothing too crazy. The payoff at the top is worth the burn, such a gorgeous scene!

Hiked up to the lake today, the parking lot was full, very snowy and hard to drive up to. Recommend a 4WD vehicle. We watched a Subaru Outback spin and have to be be pushed out of the parking lot. The hike was moderate and completely covered in snow. Micro spikes weren’t needed, but were helpful on the way down. There were lots of dogs and friendly people on the trail. We didn’t have too much visability but it was still beautiful! A good calf workout :)

beautiful breath taking view .
don't stop keep going till you get to the lake ,
please be prepared a lot of snow .
be cautious and have fun .

02/22 The recent snows make getting to the trailhead unlikely for anyone who doesn’t have 4WD or chains and a bit of clearance. The potholes are pretty brutal, I doubt a car would make it even without the snow.

As for the trail, there’s 8-10 inches on most of it with a decent boot path. An otherwise easy hike is made a little more difficult in the snow, the up side was that I had the entire place to myself :) I got a late start and didn’t want to be hiking back in the dark, so I can’t attest to the reward at the end. However, I was rewarded with a number of large, partially frozen waterfalls along the way, as well as other pretty sights. This is one I’ll definitely come back to when I have more time or once the snow has melted.

Great moderate trail , go during the week or early on the weekend 6am.

Hiked Monday 19Feb. What a beautiful hike in the snow. The access road was very snowy and loaded with deep potholes but passable. The trail was well maintained and very easy to follow especially considering the blast of snow the mountain got this weekend. Crampons or micros are nice to have but not necessary. We didn't wear ours at all on the way up and only wore them on the descent because they were new and we wanted to try them out. The snow just made everything that much more beautiful. My tracker said 4.5 miles in 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Just hiked Heather trail on presidents day. The weather was gorgeous but cold!!!! The trail was covered in snow from start to finish. Hiking boots were necessary, crampons were a bonus but not needed. The first half is pretty easy and then the switchback and elevation began for the second half. Heather Lake was gorgeous. Would definitely do again!
