great hike both in the morning and evening, under 30 minutes up from the street parking area at a reasonable pace.

it gets a little tricky to find the trail head. there are a few interesecting trails.

love the fact that you can be in such a crowded place and find such solitude within just a few minutes of hiking. fish were small (5 inches or so) but this hike and lake Catherine just above it were phenomenal. I'd love to go back again when there aren't so many people on the trail tho. I had to stop quite a few times to let big groups pass by and it was just myself. great hike tho and some very beautiful scenery.

I really enjoyed this hike but I don’t know how the trail was measured to be only 4.4. I got 6 miles round trip on my GPS and the last 1.2 miles ish was definitely hard but the falls were very pretty. I was worried that they weren’t going to be anything special given it’s late summer but I was impressed. I thought that from the 2mile post I would only have .2 left but it was farther than that by about a half mile. Did anyone else have this same experience?

Awesome hike with a little incline towards the end to the lower falls. Lots of shade.

Did this a few weeks ago with my three kids(10,7,3). It was an easy hike to the lower(big) Falls. We played in the water and stood under the waterfall. Be careful and make sure no one is up on top of the waterfall causing rocks to fall.

The trail on the back side of Tibble Fork is no longer a nice hike. The old trail is gone or only partly there.

Took me a lot longer to get up than I thought it would, amazing views, difficult but completely worth doing if you are prepared and bring plenty of water!

Good family trail

Beautiful hike. The waterfall is worth the effort. There is overflow parking just past the trailhead, heading into little cottonwood. Can get really busy on saturdays and holidays.

Hiked this in August with a healing ankle sprain. Fairly easy with beautiful views. Highly recommended.

Went on a Saturday in August with my family of four, including a four-year-old and seven-year-old. We got there at 6 AM, so we got on the trail before anyone else, but on the way down it was like a conga line going up to the falls. The trail was beautiful and the falls were pretty. We didn’t let the kids do the scramble up to the top off the falls although I did and enjoyed that little challenge at the end of the trail. The rest of the trail was great for both of my kids.

Beautiful trail leading to beautiful falls! This is a good choice for kids and inexperienced hikers.

First hike for me. Little bit out of shape. Found the initial 0.5 mile moderately difficult and last 0.9 miles really hard. It's full of rocks and little steeper. I had to take breaks to catch the breath and continue in that last stretch. Do yourself a favor wearing good hiking shoes.
The lake/reservoir was dry and the waterfall was not breathtaking. May be August is not the month if you want to see a beautiful waterfall and lake. But the view of the valley from the waterfall was awesome.
Start by 7am to beat the crowd and heat.

Decided to do this hike with my two boys (8 and 10) after camping at the Spruces the night before. The boys complained about the incline going up from Brighton, but overall it really wasn't bad and was a great hike that I knew my boys could survive.

Decided to finally hike Mt. Olympus again as it had been over 20 years when I did it as a teenager. I got off to a rough start as I didn't see the trail going up at the rock at the bottom of the trail and followed the Porter Rockwell Trail for a half mile before realizing I wasn't actually on the trail for Mt. Olympus. Going up is a grind with very little breaks in incline till the saddle. Bouldering up was hard, but manageable. The views were amazing. I did run into a rattlesnake on the trail halfway down. I gave it plenty of distance and walked around the rock it was half hiding under. Overall a great, but difficult hike!

Love the hike. Fantastic view and kid friendly.

Great hike!

Don't be scared away by some of the other reviews! This is a great hike. Yes, it does have some steeper, more technical sections. Parts of it are more difficult than anything you would see on Timp, but overall I would say it's less difficult than Timp and much shorter. On the other hand, it's significantly easier than Provo Peak hiked from the valley. The steep section is maybe half of Provo Peak's ascent. The view from the top is amazing and hiking along the ridge can be pretty fun!

As many people have said, stay on the ridge. There are two false peaks. The first one is after Wolf Pass (just after hiking around the side of North Peak). The ascent here is the most strenuous. The second false peak is right before Nebo. Near the top of each of these, there are many paths leading off to the left. These are especially deceiving because the actual trail can be difficult to see when looking up from below. These other paths are not the trail and are much more difficult and even dangerous. For both false peaks, you want to go straight over the top of the peak. You can see in my recording that on the ascent we went off to the left for both peaks, which didn't turn out well. Try to follow the path we took on the descent, just straight over the peaks.

We summited in just under 2.5 hours, with maybe 10 minutes of breaks included in that. After about 20 minutes on the summit, we made it down in about 1.5 hours with a bit of trail running.

This is PERFECT for a quick hike or a run. The loop is about 2 miles, steeper to go up on the left side, and then coming back down the other side has nice smooth switch backs. I ran the loop twice and it’s nearly entirely in the shade. Not too trafficked either -It was actually very quiet and peaceful. There is a $3 fee for Millcreek canyon, but it’s worth it.

Amazing hike! Started around 7:30am and made it to the top around 10:30am, taking about a 20 minute break. It had rained the night before, so the weather on the way up was wonderful. Also starting early in the morning made it so the majority of the hike on the way up was all in the shade. There is also good shade coverage from trees the higher you climb. Definitely steep, especially near the top-you end up doing more bouldering than actual hiking. The view at the top is worth it! Ran most of the way back down, legs were very shaky at the bottom and stepping onto the road asphalt felt like walking on a soft cushion after the trail running. Didn’t drink as much water as I thought -not quite 2L and I still felt very hydrated. Definitely a hike to check off your list!

amazing trail, moderately trafficked but not too bad, the landscape and veiws/forests are beautiful, no complaints!

great view from top. so close to reach from town.

Great hike to the falls. If you want to go further, it's nice, too. Fairly steep after the falls, but not hard.

Short steep hike with a very scenic view at the end . Not one of my favorites mainly because the lack of forest.

I loved this hike!! It was great for me and my boys!! It was a good length and a mix of flat and a little steep!
