Enjoyable scenic hike.

You have to pay for parking and the trail is pretty busy. In some spots I had to wait 15 min for people to get through funnels in the trail or climb over certain rocks. BRING A LIGHT SOURCE.

22 April
No snow on the trail. My wife and I were able to hike up with our infant son with no problems. I was able to get behind falls as well.
Our phone had it at 4+ miles round trip, and the signs along the trail indicate it is just over 2 miles one way, so be ready for a bit longer than 3.3 miles.

Good workout and definitely a challenge for a beginner. Great views up top. Pretty busy and kind of muddy near the top but not too bad. Careful coming down.

Beautiful views of the snow covered mountains, on this clear April day (last time we came, it was overcast). Nice trail for our group, ranging 10yr - early 60’s. We saw some beaver, water fowl, other birds and a few other hikers. There are restrooms not too far from the trail head. Good way to spend Earth Day :)

Awesome hike! Did this two days ago and loved how it gave total views of Mt. St. Helens, the blast zone, and the forrest. Lots of trails are still closed, and the overlook doesn’t open until May 16th, so check in with the visitor center to see which trails will be open for you to use.

Great views at the top!

Beautiful hike! Quite a bit of snow, so hiking boots/snow boots are ideal footwear. Long hike, but falls were worth it!!

Well maintained trail, borders on 'hard' difficulty at times being rather steep. No snow today.
My hike said it was 5.8 miles, which is significantly longer than the 4 that I anticipated. Granted, I took the Humbug viewpoint detour but that's only .4 round trip. Not sure how I got an extra mile. But all around very satisfying and I'm now very exhausted:

Really enjoyed this trail. The nice lady in the gift shop had lots of great info about the various trails. There are dogwood trees everywhere and they are gorgeous right now.

Nice hike. Waterfalls are beautiful. Got a few peeks at Mt Hood. Took the northern path on the return, walked through shin deep snow mid April. Shoulda had our gators on with our waterproof boots :). Great hike all around.

BEAUTIFUL waterfall!

Was very fun, VERY easy. I only gave it 3 because I probably wouldn’t go all the way there to do it again. Pretty damp, wear boots for the water puddles and such. Great little trip with friends. Bring a bright headlamp and gloves! Enjoy.

Easy, beginner hike but you’ve got to start somewhere.

What a hidden gem! I attempted to get to Rooster Rock as well but the snow was too deep and fog too heavy, I didn’t really know where I was going. This trail is pretty easy to navigate in the snow being on a ridgeline most of the way. The lookout was cozy! Basic first aid kit and other tools and supplies are available. The gravel road up to the trailhead after crossing over the river was in good shape. Most vehicles should be able to make it. In the winter though, probably need 4WD or AWD. You may not need snowshoes to get up there but it made my life a lot easier!

Beautiful hidden hike. Took longer than I thought to get to the trailhead but was totally worth it! Good hike if you’re headed to the beach

This trail is another awesome hidden gem. The trail itself is fairly easy to moderate at points, as it had some downed trees and bush across the path. I hiked the weekend of the windstorm in April 2018. The suspension bridge was great, I was expecting more movement, but it only had slight bobbing with only me on it. Very sturdy and well built, with a perfect view of the gorge and falls below. Keep going down the trail after crossing, as it switches back down towards the falls for a front row view. Very powerful, and pools were filled and raging at this time of year. Hike back is all up hill, but not bad at all. I had the place to myself early, but passed many people coming down on my way back up.

Definitely worth the work for a short trip. Ice in quite a few spots still but easy to manage with just boots. Can't wait to try this one again after the snow and be able to get behind the falls.

Fantastic hike! Took about an hour & 45 to get up and a little less than an hour to come back down. Gorgeous views! I brought a small dog and he did fine but was very tired out by the end.

We loved it! Too foggy to see the view but great trail. We’ll be back.

I had a perfect day for hiking. Had A skiff of snow the night before, but the sun came out and the view was incredible.

Easy out and back trail. Was surprisingly busy for a middle of the week... was spring break for some, just not Oregon. Good views. Well maintained.

This was a fantastic hike with our kids!!!! The river is gorgeous and the forest is so peaceful.

Nice hike. Kids liked the falls. Good workout. Really far out while driving. You think maybe you've missed it. Keep going. Worth the drive.

Really unique and wonderful trail! Definitely want a good flashlight, lots of really beautiful rock to see.

Easy hike. Definitely worth seeing the bridge and falls. Plan to do again soon.

SUPER easy hike! Got there faster than I was expecting and even got to stand at the base of the falls! Definitely one I’ll be revisiting soon!

LOVED this hike, but make sure you bring LOTS of water with you because it is such a hike! Went twice last summer and plan on going at least once every other week this summer =)

Beautiful hike and stunning waterfall.
