Very slick when wet! First time and enjoyed the challenge. Some steep rocks and exposed tree roots. Can’t wait to run it when it’s dry. All trails stopped recording my whole loop. I ran the loop and got off on some side trails somehow and ended up doing 3.5 miles.

Red Oak Trail is the ADA Level 1 section of the 2 trails here. If you want anything other than a leisurely walk, you will need to include Bear Grass which is only an additional .7 mile for a total of 1.7. Bear Grass may be challenging for some, but we are in our mid 60's and did it easily without poles.

Early Saturday morning run...easy no people traffic.

been here 3x ...what amazing place to see. during summer time you have to call or visit the website to reserve as its get busy so to control number of people for safety and preservation of such beautiful place!! I went there in January and you can just go no reservation needed but if you want to swim summer time for sure!

Enjoy this trail and the other connecting trails. I've ran these more than a handful of times grateful for the rocks, roots, and slight climbs. Just gotta be careful on dewy/misty mornings...slippery rocks.

super short and easy hike. kid friendly. I brought my 2 an 5 year old. They have picnic tables by the parking lot. and the waterfall is great. It was only trickling when we went today but I can imagine when after a great rainfall❤ it's absolutely beautiful.

I really enjoyed this hike. The parts of the trail that are not paved are the best and very beautiful with the multiple views, they do have a steeper and tougher terrain but that’s what I’m personally was looking for in trails, it was definitely worth the hour drive, and I will be returning.

super beautiful! Go during the fall and winter season so less people are there.

The hike to the pool is very short and very easy! We went on a cool foggy / drizzly day which made it perfect since there were few people going in! Took the the time to look up, look around and just take in the beauty! Also hiked down to the river. Most of the trail is easy with a few challenges. The rain made some of the rocks a little slick but just enough to make it fun! Again if there are not a lot people very quiet and serene.

loved it.

Fantastic walking and running trail. The Eisenhower Park Trail system offers scenic views and some great training hills with technical ascents and descents.

Easy, gradual trails mixed with technical, rocky climbs and descents. Great views of San Antonio at the top. Not for the beginner hiker, but loads of fun!

Really beautiful and easy path along a spring and old cypress trees. Ends at the pedernales river.

beautiful short hike, the pool site is amazing. the trail to the river is fun, with lots of view points. a good leg workout coming back. I would do it again ... spring time our fall.

there's a field full of buffalo directly above the waterfall, rain washes all of their poop into the pool, so you can rule out swimming. as you can see you can go down the trail the other way to the river which is cool but the park rangers are way strict about taking a step off the trail. Rangers here are pretty wack actually. I wouldnt go back here. I also would rate it as easy and not moderate

October is a nice time to go. You don’t need a reservation and didn’t have to wait long. Take a left and get a hike in before going for your swim.

A bit crowded and there is a wait to get in the parking area. Not too crowded at the actual pool which was nice.

It was a good trail for running. Lots of people and the view at the tower was decent.

For my first time here.. it was amazing, nice weather, and great and wooded trails.. you really feel you are far from the city.

Drove all he way out from Fort Hood just to be told I don't have a reservation and I couldn't enter. There was room in the parking lot and the lady at the front was beyond rude.

Ok Trail needed more rest stops they seem to only be on the paved trail

This was a breathtaking view down by the water once we reached it. We thought it was beautiful. It was worth the short hike.

Drove all the way out and while the parking lot wasn't full and there was no cars in front or behind me I wasn't allowed in because I didn't have a "reservation." I asked if I could see the pool so I knew what to expect when I did have a reservation "nope". Seriously? "Yep"

Easy hike, beautiful waterfall! The best time to go is after it has rained alot!

My fav in San Antonio.

Can be a little steep and rocky depending on which path you take, but it has great views! Combination of paved and gravel trails. My GSD handled it pretty well

LOVE this park/trail. Ran this all the time last spring. Paved trail for the most part, very scenic, dog friendly. Deer are everywhere. Watch for the occasional snake. Huge kudos to the people who maintain this place. Dog parks are the best around as well :)

This is one of my favorite parks for hiking close to home. Lots of trails and some of them are really pretty. the trails are well marked. this park does get a lot of traffic.

Brought 6 month boxer puppy with me - he loved it. Took a water break once we got to the tower as that was about halfway. Didn't see a lot of people at all, but we arrived at the park at 630am.
