Very pleasant, well maintained. Several nice brooks and water features. Relatively low wildlife activity.

Beautiful day for a walk .... finally! All trails are well marked ...and lots of nature ...to be seen! Many dogs around so if you have a fear of dogs you should skip the trails.

Best trail for friendly dogs in ct

Easy Hike and beautiful views

very well marked, recommend boots because it can be very muddy. Great for dogs!

Pretty, interesting history of the land usage, river is great to see & hear.

Beautiful. We made a few short cuts, and went to the waterfalls from the parking lot at the end.
Really nice trail.

Quiet, nicely kept trail. Well marked with a sweet little interpretive trail guide you can follow to learn more about the geography and botany of the area.

Nice family hike with family and dog. Waterfall was the best park. Busy, popular spot. Nice for picnics too.

Nice little walk around the pond. Not too strenuous.

The trail wasn't well marked, but it was beautiful in the snow.

Like the park. Trails well marked.

Nice loop. We did it counterclockwise. There are many bridges as we followed a stream. The trail was wet with some muddy sections. The are many rocks and roots. Good footwear is advised.

Ideal for a short hike. The trails are not marked too clearly at times but lots of foliage and great views.

Short hike with easy access to beautiful views of Lake Lillinonah. You can cross the bridge and take the wide gravel path straight up to the largest cliff, but there are other awesome viewing spots farther up the mountain if you don't mind steeper trails. Lots of interesting building remains and historic sites too, for those who are into the history of the region!

Was more slick then I anticipated, especially the scramble up the hill to the Devil's Oven. Markers for the first mile or so on the loop if you go clockwise are almost nonexistent.

My dogs love this place- lots of areas where they can hop into streams! Really pretty, clean, family friendly. We have done the trail looping around the pond which is fairly easy (I have two dogs on leashes) and also gone across the street following the blue blazed trail which is more on the moderate side.
Following the blue blazed trail into the park you will meet up with the Vernon rails to trails part of the hop river trail. If you are on the rails to trails, there is a place to lock up your bike and go down to valley falls or hike up further on the blue blazed trail.
The pond is pretty clean here as well, lots of parking. Overall great spot.

Multiple trails to cater to all levels. I'm a regular here.

Nice easy hike! It follows along a stream and some little waterfalls. I ended up taking blue to blue/yellow to red. There's also a lake, picnic areas and a small beach. :) My dog absolutely loved it too!

Great little trail..beginning is unique by crossing over one of 4 iron bridges that still exist in Connecticut. There are also other hiking options in the park with several other trails

Too many 3-minute hikers, noise, and picnic pieces. Skip unless winter.

The red trail takes you to the waterfall and overlook - the two must-sees here.

A nice mix of terrain with multiple options. You'll encounter hayfields, woodland trails, significant rock outcroppings and boulders with a few steep climbs/descents depending on the route taken. I thoroughly enjoyed it on a spectacular September morning.

Very pleasant walk and at one point near the Pine grove, it almost looks like a mystical forest ❤️

very easy trails, nothing marked very well but whatever trail you follow in just follow out.. many people were bbq and floating in the water at the very beginning when you park your cars

Nice network of trails, although poorly marked. I used to go here frequently, but stopped going due to the abundance of dogs off-leash who are not well-controlled by their owners.
