This was one of the coolest hikes I've ever done. Every waterfall is amazing and the second half through the bamboo forest was surreal! 100% would recommend for anyone in Maui

Not best views, nice stop much better trails farther down road to Hana

Stay left! We veered off to the right after the creek and ended up in some deep bamboo. Headed back and found the trail easily. It was an easy hike but very muddy. Wear the right shoes. We saw all three waterfalls. Very beautiful and worth your time. Saw Glen from the Walking Dead hiking there!!!

great hike to the falls ! highly recommend!

Nothing i would recommend someone doing!
No nice views, no nice path!

Loved every moment of it. From the bamboo forest to the crossing of the raging stream. If you don’t mind getting a little wet, go all the way!!

Loved it!! Rather muddy so go prepared. Early if you want to avoid crowds.

Quite the disappointment
Really tough to run this trail and there's not much to see.
The pristine beach at the end of the trail is a campers dump with beer bottles and quasi permanent tents.
The light house is not what you think - it's not an east coast light house - it's more like a street sign.
Too many other great places in Maui to go - recommend to avoid.

We’ve hiked this twice. I prefer the inland trail as opposed to the coast because it ends at a pretty beach where we could eat lunch under some shade trees. It’s very beautiful.

Advice: Start early, before 9 is smart. It heats up quick. Be smart and wear over the ankle boots. Real easy to twist an ankle; most of the journey is traveling over loose and very course rock. Bring more than a store bought water bottle. Bring a hat if you don’t want to burn. There’s no place to hide from sun once out in the open. Get there and park in the opposite direction of the sun. You’ll appreciate a cooler car upon returning.

Highlights: Beach at the end of interior trail. Awesome landscape that looks lunar. Ocean views spectacular. Feels remote and peaceful.

Good easy flat hike. Great views of the ocean. A bit crowded and busy. Park at the Polo Beach parking lot and head north.

Very crowded. Basically could have driven to the first and second falls. The upper falls had a nice pool everyone could swim in. If you go to the second falls make sure you have water shoes. Good hike to do with the whole family.

What a treat! The falls at the end of the trail was spectacular. Walking through the bamboo forest was pretty cool also.
It had rained most of the morning, so the trail was very muddy in the afternoon. It got a little slick going down hill. Wear good traction shoes. It helped a lot. I could hike this trail every day for a year and love it every time. A must hike on Maui.

Very nice hike. Easy except for the river you must cross. But take it show and you’ll get through. A little walk over a wall to the river and falls. Beautiful.

Despite the easy rating on this, it is not easy for those just looking for a stroll. The first obstacle you come to is having to wade across the creek. Just after rain, or the rainy season, this creek can be swift. Prepare to get wet and muddy on this hike. For any avid hiker, this will be a stroll; however, there are slick rocks, steep rope/ladder climbs, and uneven ground. But the payoff at the end is spectacular.

It's a very easy walk along the shoreline with a few beaches to stop at for a swim along the way. The walk is mostly flat on a pathway so suitable for almost everyone. We had trouble finding parking on the north end so decided to start the round trip from the south end. I would highly recommend this as there was ample parking on the south side near Polo Beach Park.

One of my favorite trails so far. Easy to enjoy the scenery throughout the entirety of this trail but the ending view is the biggest reward!

Definitely worth the trip. Hiking through the lava field provides very interesting scenery but it gets extremely hot so bring plenty of water and start early. Closed toe shoes are a must but hiking boots aren't 100% necessary. Keep left to the Kings Highway to get to the beach. Doing this again I would skip the lamp post and head straight to the beach. Getting in the water at the beach at the end of Kings Highway is very rocky so wear shoes you don't mind getting wet.

Really beautiful falls. Get there early as it is a bit of a zoo. However most people do not continue past the closed gates marked “experienced hikers only” so once you clear that it is more serene and there are more pools.

Hiked early, raining so much that trail was a stream. Gushing water all down the gorge so "pools" were non-existent below. Falls along the way and at the top were thundering. Banyan tree and Bamboo Forest added to the spectacular beauty. Waimoku was worth every bit of the hike, tho couldn't get to the base of it, due to the "stream" to cross was currently a raging river.
Soaked clear through but only saw 4 other folks on hike while i was coming down, so very peaceful.

Great hike with a spectacular 400 foot waterfall at the turnaround. The bamboo forest midway was amazing

Incredible end of the trail to a hidden cove where the beach is. Some step cliffs but plenty of places to hang onto. Not many folks on the beach. Just a lovely place!

It was raining today when we did it- very muddy and crossing the river was a little difficult, but definitely worth it!

very muddy but nice waterfalls and bamboo lined trail. be prepared to get wet "12" or so crossing the steam

very busy "trail" upper falls trail was closed

Realy nice hike. Easy, except it is rocky.

Fairly easy and short trail but it does have some steep drop-offs that could be deadly if you fall into the rough water. Be careful. The views of the crashing waves are amazing. Also, when we were there we saw some naked guys with their Johnsons all out and about so be careful and check before you bring the kids around the last corner where you see the people on the beach. The sign at the end of the trail says NUDE BEACH.
