Fun and easy hike while connecting into hidden canyon. Made a nice day combining scrambling, hiking, scenic views and some off-trail adventures if combine these two hikes.

Too many tourist.

This was amazing! It is $50 per person but totally worth the views. The tour guide is extremely helpful with taking pictures as well! A must see!!

Beautiful scenery! Very short walk small hill at the beginning. Took less than an hour to walk there take pictures and walk back.

This place is beautiful!! A must see.

Most exhilarating hike ever!

This hike is awesome - very easy to follow and very little elevation gain with amazing views. However it was really crowded just before sunset on a cold December day, so I bet it’s crazy on a nice summer day. The views are amazing though!

Easy paved hike to the lower Emerald Pool. The Trail to the upper pool was closed. I went on a rainy day so there were two waterfalls at the lower pool. It’s pretty, but not quite as memorable as some of the other Zion hikes. Good for a rainy day though as it’s not really a hike for views/vistas.

Very short hike in. Visited in the off season, and went for the sunset. It was still very busy, so get there well in advance. Take a blanket so you can sit along the edge and hang out.

For those of you who do not know, Tours must be booked to do this! Would recommend going in the summer and when the sun is in the middle of the sky, I went in the fall and the light rays were not as great (as told by our guide). Very busy, but worth seeing.

Made the best of the Emerald Pool and waterfall since the others were closed. A good walk, on mostly pavement, that almost anyone could do. Beautiful views all around you along the way.

Oct 6 2018- we started at about 650 am. Parking was fine. It was a short easy hike with lots of other people. Beautiful scenery and views of horseshoe bend. We were done in a little under an hour, with time for lots of pictures.

beautiful hike, way too crowded though. Very easy, and paved. Watch out for the squirrels. They make it impossible to stop for a snack :-)

fun short Trail. Make sure to follow the trail and not just the creek bed or you'll get off track. love the heart in the Rock at the end.

Easy hike especially on a cool fall day. Toadstool hoodoos are an a amazing sight. You get very close to them and you feel like you are on another planet. saw a lot of families with young kids. Also saw several dogs on the trail.

I did lower antelope canyon, as the light rays don't come through the upper antelope canyon in the winter so I didn't think the upper would be worth the money. The lower antelope canyon is cheaper and it was great to visit. Go on first tour with Dixie Ellis or last tour with Ken's. Nice short walk along the river. Accessible for wheelchairs as fully pathed. Is very heavily trafficked. If want to go far into the narrows you can hire waterproof boot and trousers from the visitor centre for the next day.

on Canyon Overlook Trail

Nice short trail with great overlook of Zion. Was very busy trail even in mid November. Also limited parking but there is some alongside the road, but this was also nearly full up.

Awesome slot canyon, with many cool shapes in the rock. You have to pay for a tour to this canyon which costs around $50. We went in mid November and it was very busy and apparently even busier in summer. The amount of people did kind of ruin the essence of the canyon but still worth doing if your willing to pay the price. Also bare in mind however cold it is it will be colder in the canyon.

Very cool to see. crowded but worth it.

Perfect hike for kids and older parents. crowded though so go earlier in day rather than later.

Trail head is not marked. Park at Canyon Overlook parking. Take a look at my pics and/or my record and you will see a few pics to get your hike started.

This was SOOO fun. Many rock scrambles and a few technical areas to traverse. I am sure this will catch on in popularity soon....

If you are heading to Zion, this is a must hike short hike (took us 1.5hrs with 2 kids) Start here in the morning and hit up the other popular hikes after you are done.

on Horseshoe Bend Trail

Short sandy walk over to horseshoe bend. Was very busy but a beautiful thing to see. Walk over from car park is about 10 minutes. Lots of parking and toilets at the trailhead. If you want to miss the crowds definitely head-over at sunrise/early morning. Also beware rumour is they are going to start charging $25 per person to go see horeshoe bend so get there fast before that happens

Beautiful and easy hike. Definitely wear closed toe shoes as there are a lot of rocks on the trail. If possible, try to do the hike on a weekday. The parking is very limited. I hiked this trail on a Wednesday in September. Tons of hikers even though it was a week day. I tried again on Thanksgiving and got stuck in traffic trying to get to the parking lot. I could see a nearly continous line of hikers from 0.25 miles away from the entrance.

We visited in late November and this little trail was one of our favorites. It’s not particular well marked, and you have to scramble across the stream on rocks a couple of times to make it all the way to the waterfall, but definitely worth it. Very quiet and beautiful. We had kids along (ages 5-10) and a couple sections were more challenging for them, but if you take your time you’ll be fine.

A crowded but short hike with huge rewarding views at it's stopping point.

Perfect easy hike to get a taste of Zion. Very crowded though.

Gorgeous! Didn’t see anyone else on the trail. I wouldn’t call this moderate, though. There are some more challenging spots that require some skill to navigate.

this is the hike that gives you want zion is all about. canyons and water. next time I would not rent gear. but yes for the colder people. yes it's fun, scenic.
