Have used this as an access to the cascade canyon trail. It’s a nice warmup. Beautiful and peaceful early in the morning.

Easy hike for family. Was able to see a Mule deer bedded down and even had a Fox run past us on the trail which made the kids love it.

Amazing scenery Tetons are fantastic. Kids loved it

Catching up on some reviews, so recognize that I was here in mid-October. Visited for a weekend to escape busy college life, and this was our first hike in the park. Very few people, which was a big plus. Falls were beautiful and already party freezing. On our way back, we went the rest of the way around the lake, not realizing how much longer it would take. Still enjoyable and recommend the hike to any visitor.

Absolutely beautiful hike! The lake was gorgeous and there was wild life a plenty from marmots to elk. We were there in June and had a great afternoon hiking.

Breathtaking hike. Saw several moose and 2 bears. Be sure to dedicate an entire day to this hike, took us 8 hours.

Unbelievable. Best trail we were able to hike during our 10 day trip. Absolutely incredible views.

Arrived at Jenny Lake right at 8am to take the ferry, saved several hours of daylight to avoid the loop trail around the lake. I would say almost a necessity to knock out the whole hike in a single day.

Saw about 5 moose along the way.

Must do if you are in the Tetons and are looking to hike.

Something about this lake it is soooooooo pretty.

Took us a few tries but we made it! The trail disappeared with the snow so it was tricky. If there is a lot of snow, I recommend going with someone who is experienced with the trail.

Strenuous hike with a well-earned reward of two lakes and beautiful scenery at the top. We had a real surprise at Surprise Lake when a mama black bear and her two cubs joined us at the lake for their afternoon drink!

Was dark when we finished. Lot of fun. Beautiful trail

The scenery is unbeatable. We saw a mother and baby moose. If you are in Teton you HAVE to do Jenny Lake and Cascade Canyon trails!

We did this on our way to Cascade Canyon and I highly recommend going in the spring, when the falls are really going!

We started at the south lot and went clock wise. If you go counterclockwise you will actually get better views of the mountain while hiking. We had to keep turning around to view them. Part of the trail was closed for reconstruction but they give you an alternate route which is very similar. Saw a bald eagle, no bears.

There was a bit of snow but nothing you can't do in boots.

We hiked around the lake counter clockwise and hit the waterfall. Great hike with sun and snow coming off the peaks. Well maintained Trail affords not having to look down for steps but enables you to take in the great views

Did with my two daughters (6, 3) and my wife, we really enjoyed this trail. Great views pretty much most of the way. Some places along the way to stop and eat/ enjoy the views. Falls were beautiful and we continued up to lower inspiration point (the higher one was closed). On the way back we sat by moose ponds for a bit and enjoyed the stillness. Great time!

Beautiful views through the whole hike. We hiked all the way to the top and my polar says it was a total of 6.5 miles from parking lot and back. Took my mom who doesn't hike much and she made it the entire way. Lots of places to stop and take breaks. Definitely a must do!

AMAZING hike with fabulous views from all angles. Couldn't stop taking pictures. Definitely recommend it!!

This hike was worth the challenge of getting to the top to see surprise and amphitheater lake. We started this hike out planning to go off trail to view Delta Lake, but it was snowing and making it up the boulder fields was almost impossible and too dangerous. We decided to hike up almost 3 more miles to surprise and amphitheater lake and we are glad we did. Before we went on this hike we read that black bears were known to be spotted very close to the trail. We encountered one adult black bear and then one cub an hour later who came right up to my dad. Make sure to bring some bear spray!

Definitely worth the trek! The final stretch up from Cascade Canyon is definitely snowy right now but the gorgeous lake makes slightly soggy shoes more than worth it :)

22 Sep it was getting snowy to the point where I turned back because I wasn't properly equipped. Looks like there was more snow last night so snowy for the 23rd. Lots of berries on the slopes so watch out for bears and make sure to carry spray and bells.

Beauty that photos can't capture. Significant traffic, not challenging enough for my preference. Pretty lax. Suitable for very young and the seniors I saw. Family friendly for sure. Great hike.

It was my first time in Grand Teton NP and this was definitely the highlight. A hard hike with the elevation and switchbacks but absolutely worth it. Great views on the way up and the lakes were spectacular. Plenty of snow in mid-July at the top and the lake was still half covered in ice. The scenery surrounding Amphitheater was awe inspiring. An afternoon storm rolled in on the way down and we got hit with rain, hail and some lightning but still had fun.
