Very beautiful lake on top. Saw small bear early in AM when we got to the lake. Early AM the wildlife is very abundant.

Went all the way to lake solitude.... fantastic

Hiked the summer trail in the snow. The last mile stretch was the most challenging but worth it for the views at the top.

Super easy, quick hike, and if that’s what you’re looking for it’s great. Awesome view of the Teton range.

Great Winter Hike!!
We started ~1mile below the trailhead due to the seasonal closure. We took the trail over to the historic camp, then we went up to the lake overlook and turned it from there. Gorgeous views and very easy terrain. Since it was winter, we left the trail a number of times to explore the area.
If you're a backcountry skier, this is an amazing spot. Climb would only take a couple hours and the lines are spectacular.

So Much to do here!!

Very pretty trail. Not the prettiest hike in this area though. But the Wind Cave is phenomenal! The photos here don't provide it justice. Amazingly tall entrance. Lots of room inside to climb around and explore. Be sure to bring headlamps to allow unhindered exploring. I'm not sure why this trail is rated as difficult. My 4 year old niece managed the hike up all on her own.

I love to hike in with my inflatable paddle board. It's a beautiful hike in and the lake is great for paddle boarding

I hike this trail year round and absolutely love it. Snowshoeing is the best on this trail and the views are gorgeous. I usually see wildlife so be prepared, this trail is a must do

FAVORITE TRAIL IN TETONS!!!! Go all the way!

We did not make it all the way but the views were incredible in the canyon!

Amazing views. Steep start then a flat, visually stunning hike. This was an all-star hike.

Did this as a loop hike over the course of 3 days. Rough outline was: Trailhead, Dad's Lake, Barren Lake, Texas Pass into the Cirque, out over Jackass Pass back to trailhead. Surprised at the lack of mosquitoes in early August. AMAZING hike, but Texas Pass is not for the faint of heart. The only other hard part was picking our way down the boulders into the Cirque.

Highly recommend a bit of training before this trip, but the views are so incredibly worth it.

Simply wonderful

It was a spectacular hike ❤️. By far my fave.

We loved this hike. Still can’t believe we were there ❤️

I don't usually review trails, but this one is pretty great! We went a little later, so it wasn't as busy. But we got to a point in the trail where a moose and her baby were on the trail. We had to wander off the trail but it was an awesome experience. The scenery is also beautiful. It's 4 miles but it's very casual.

Beautiful. May take longer than you think to complete the hike. Route-finding can be difficult in the boulder section and may not be appropriate for children, older folks, or disabled. A stunning annual run for us with access to the Middle/Grand saddle.

Was exactly like the descriptions said. We started out around 09:00 and took 5 hours to get to top. I’m very out of shape now days and refused not to give up until we made it. My wife waited on me lots going up but kept me motivated. The views going up and at the top are good enough motivation.

We hiked this trail in order to summit Disappointment Peak. Before beginning the last leg of our summit, I took a refreshing (and frigid) swim in Amphitheater Lake. I believe we counted 18 switchbacks. Both lakes were breathtaking!

Wanted to see wildlife, but the lake was pretty bare. A good hike with small ups and downs. Distances are accurate at 6.1 miles around. There ARE bears around. About 2 miles from the end of the loop (counter clockwise) we saw 2 grizzlies cross the trail from us about 50 feet away (fortunately running away from us). We never made as much noise as in our life for the rest of the loop. Coming back, about 2 miles from the trailhead we saw several cars pulled off from the road. About 200 yards away were two very large male grizzlies eating in the meadows (one on grasses and berries and one actually tearing apart some sort of carcass). Very impressive, but somewhat unsettling knowing that these were so close to the trail. This is bear country so carry your bear spray, but the hike was beautiful with the most impressive trees we had ever seen.

Neat views from the point.

Nice hike- we did it clockwise and enjoyed great views the whole time.

Great hike with breathtaking views. Saw lots of chipmunks but no bears! Had bear spray just in case. My husband and I really enjoyed this hike.

Lovely views above Phelps Lake. Take the time to go beyond Patrol Cabin as the canyon opens out and you get tremendous views. There was a light covering of snow in the Canyon which made it all the more spectacular. The aspens were at their best

this is one of my favorite hikes. Theres stunning views even just a mile or two in. My family hikes here every year. You can go inside the windcave, but be cautious, there are currents inside the cave where you can't tell how deep they are, make sure you stay out of the water as much as you can, and take a reliable headlamp.

One of the best hikes I have ever done. Absolutely breathtaking views the entire way around. We spotted some bears ob the trail ahead of us as well.

We did this as a long day hike in the clockwise direction in July, and the downhill section immediately after the divide was still pretty snowy. We slowly stepped our way down without crampons or anything but it was definitely a little sketchy. Patches of snow after that but nothing we couldn't manage.

Awesome scenery

Great longer hike around the lake. We started near the jenny lake overlook and went to the right (looking at the lake). We were the only people in the trail until the intersection trailhead. Continued into hidden falls as a nice side trip before finishing the loop. Went past moose pond, did not see any moose or wildlife. It was snowing dueing our hike so the view of the mountains wasnt good, however the snow was pretty.
