My first solo hike! Only wildlife I saw was a few chipmunks. Finished the loop in 2.5 hours, so I would rate this trail as easy, not moderate.

We hiked this trail August 16th. We enjoyed it but we would rate it as Easy. We had to add side trails up Death Canyon to get our heart rate up.

Nice little trail. wildflowers are out. The jumping rock is super fun! The water was extremely clear.

Well maintained trail with a beautiful view of the Grand Teton Mountain over Taggert Lake. Hiked Aug 2018 with the Denton’s.

I have hiked this trail three separate times. The beautiful aspens, view of the lake and the Tetons make for a tranquil hike. Very heavily trafficked up until the lake, then moderately trafficked continuing on the loop. We went a few days ago and ran into a black bear. We made noise and it ran into the woods. Nice easy hike.

Lots of nice trails to the lake. Went swimming when we arrived and it was amazing. Love the jumping rock!

First time hiking this trail and it did not disappoint. The first leg is a nice pace and we saw a bear not too far off the trail which was really cool to watch. Cooled off in the water up top and along the way which was very refreshing. Certainly recommend this trail

Hiking is beautiful and moderate. Heard and saw lots of kids wading in the lake Water is pure and clear.

This was my first time to Grand Teton and I wasn't sure which trail to hike. I was originally looking for a moderate to hard trail but ended up on the Jenny Lake Trail...and LOVED it. You get to see some amazing scenery and the trail is fun at all times.

A great morning hike for my son and I. Hit the trail just before 8 and were done well before 10. Great photo spots for family. Morning reflection of Tetons off lake were incredible. Didn’t see any wildlife other than pika.

This was a great trail with a beautiful lake. The only reason I rated it 3 rather than 4 is because I prefer trails with fewer people and this one is HEAVILY trafficked. Going clockwise be prepared for a fairly steep climb up on the backside of the mountain. My 7 year old got a little tired.

Great trail! Started at 8:30 am on a Tuesday in August. Parking was not a problem. Great views throughout the hike. Go in the morning to see the Tetons reflecting in the lake.

This trail was great with our kids! Saw a mamma moose and her two babies. We went to Polecat Hot Springs and the Huckleberry. Great with kids over 6. I say this about the age because you do have to cross the fast flowing creek to get to either of them. We also saw otter at the bridge at the asphalt and elk not far from there.

I've driven to the top many times but decided to hike it. Very easy hike for family to do. Lots of bear activity in the area but we didn't see any bear on 8/6/18 on the trail. Late June/ Early July would likely be the best time to take this trail as the wildflowers are outstanding when in bloom. Parked in the Signal Mountain parking lot and walked to the trail head. There is a fork in which you choose either the ponds/lake or ridge line. On the way up, take the ponds first so you can see the view of the Grand Teton and Mt Moran (and the mountain range) while hiking back on the ridge line.

Cool place! Went yesterday. Awesome trails! The jumping rock is great.

Absolutely gorgeous. Crowds annoying at the beginning and end but they thinned out near the lake.

There was a beautiful meadow of wildflowers and all around there was lush greenery. Got to see 5 bears, a beaver, a white tailed deer, a blue jay, and even heard woodpeckers in the distance! The lake was a gorgeous green color, reflecting all the trees and surrounding mountains.

Nice hike. Saw a dancing moose across from the bridge.

Lake and mountains are beautiful and you will get great photos. Bring a lunch and enjoy the scenery.

Can get lost around dusk if you don’t track main trail. Alltrails was super accurate even without downloaded map.

This loop is beautiful! Sections of the trail provide shade but also amazing views of the lake and peaks. I started at the visitor center and went right (when facing the lake). I used this to get a 5 mile trail run in before meeting friends at the Cascade Canyon Trail close to the boat dock. The section of this trail was fairly easy with only small elevation changes. I highly recommend heading up the Cascade Canyon Trail as the views are great and we saw some wildlife.

We hiked this trail from the Rockefeller Preserve, counter clockwise this morning starting around 7:45 am. Our group of 10 loved the hike and it was well worth it getting there early as we were one of the few groups on the trail. We saw a small to middle sized black bear near the Huckleberry area and it knew we were there and we were thrilled to see it eat berries. Once it passed by us, we moved on and our kids then enjoyed jumping off of the Phelps Lake cliff and all 6 of them jumped in to the water off the cliff. This is a definite must hike for the area and it is definitely more easy than moderate for occasional hikers. Rock Chalk baby!

Fantastic trail to get in some miles without overdoing it. Scenic views all around.

As an even more scenic alternative I would recommend starting at the Jenny Lake visitor’s center and heading north (facing the lake, go right). About 4 miles in on the west side of the lake take the cascade canyon trail. 6 mile out & back with great views and a lot of wildlife (saw black bears and a big bull moose). You can opt to take the boat back across the lake instead of running the rest of the way around if you aren’t looking for a ~20 miler.

The first part of trail is moderate and second part is easy. The views throughout are as good as it gets. Encountered a brown bear on the trail halfway around eating berries and ignored us. Best hike!

Discovered this trail on our mid September trip last year and it is now my favorite trail! Beautiful views along the trail and I could’ve spent hours at the lake. We even saw a moose in the creek on the way back! Park at Rockefeller.
