Great hike, the falls are gorgeous, not much room for viewing but it was fun.

Very cool views, went mid morning... half the canyon was in the shadows. If it’s not too hot I would recommend afternoon, but expect the crowds to be insane.

An easy in canyon walk. Very crowded but beautiful.

Awesome park!

Tour bus after tour bus. Not a bad walk out and back. Dogs enjoyed being able to go with us (otherwise we wouldn't have stopped). Looks like they are constructing new trail, unfortunately doesn't look wide enough to support amount of foot traffic this trail experiences. Watch out in the parking lot since it looked like a war for people to get a spot. Worth the walk to see the bend in the river though.

We walked the whole thing, which clocked in at more like 15 miles at the end of the day with all the lookout points and whatnot. It’s not hiking; it’s walking at a well-marked and often paved path. Stunning views. Can do all of it or any portions you want with the free shuttle situation.

One of the most amazing places I have been in my life do the back land hike if your tour guide offers

We did tour with a guide because you can’t do it without a guide. I wouldn’t call this a hike. It’s pretty time consuming due to the amount of people in group tour and picture taking time. But if your in the area this is a MUST SEE! It will take about 1.5-2 hours tour time. But it’s 100% worth it!

Great view. Big crowd, but still very good.

I wouldn’t consider this a hike at all since it’s super short, but it was gorgeous and beautiful as hell. Definitely something to cross off the bucket list if you already haven’t. The view is amazing!

Not really much of a hike here... but it’s the Grand Canyon so it gets 5 stars by default. Lots of good places to pull yourself to an overlook and enjoy the scenery.

Nice views, super easy level trail. Our almost 3 year old "hiked" it with us. Like walking on the sidewalk in Durango but with nice views.

Great hike for families or shorter distances. Took our 4.5 year old and 1.5 year old (in child carrier on back) and they both did great! Trail has a nice climb initially and parts of the trail are pretty rocky. Great views of Gothic Mountain and the overlook of Judd Falls was beautiful. Continue on the trail past Judd Falls and go into Maroon Bells Wilderness (trail also gets easier here). A few mountain bikers coming down the trail in the first 0.5-1 mile of the trail, so be aware.

Very short, fairly level paved trail. For someone who isn’t used to the attitude or just wants some spectacular views of Durango but doesn’t want to hike a difficult trail, this is the one.

I wouldn’t really consider this a hike because you are just walking down the hill to the edge to go see Horseshoe Bend. The views are what make this trail amazing. I would go early or late to avoid crowds.

Great for photos but you are packed in the canyon like sardines.

Great hike for beginners and to take the kids to. Gets a little rocky but doable. amazing views of Mt. Gothic! You don't really head down into the falls, it's actually an overlook. But beautiful nonetheless.

A beautiful scene, however, I can barely consider this a hike. It is almost a dirt road that goes up to a viewpoint, which is surrounded by fences and overhangs. Going anytime after 10 AM is a zoo, with parking lots full of buses. It is definitely a must see place, but I am disappointed its become such a tourist attraction, more focused on the commercial aspect rather than the beauty of wilderness. If you do go, keep in mind the crowds and PACK OUT YOUR TRASH. I was baffled at all of the trash we picked up on this short trail, and we watched a woman throw her food wrapper on the ground. PLEASE, respect our nature and its beauty!

Great short hike. Perfect if you have a dog who doesn’t always hike. The views at the end are super! Pack a lunch or snack and enjoy the views. There are several picnic tables and places to lounge at the end of the trail.

No shade or water, but nice open space on a cooler day.

Easy, short walk over a small hill. Sunrise will come up behind you as you’re looking at the bend so before with the canyon in full shadows or a little later in morning once the sun is fully lighting the canyon are probably the two best picture options unless you’re going for sunset

Easy trail, but has a decent amount of gravel and rock. I expected to be closer to the falls in the end but it is still a spectacular overlook

Small walk to sign off bucket list. Looks like ants walking up and down. Horrible parking, chaos.

Guided tour through the canyon. Amazing views, worth every dollar.

stunning views, but it's not really a trail. it's a paved walk around the edge of the canyon hence why I have only rated it three stars.

This is a fairly easy walk down to the bend. The view is awesome. You can walk right up to the edge and look down. Make sure you keep an eye on those little ones. Its a bit scary because there is nothing holding you back. Worth the hike. Bring water with you.

A really great view not that long or hard of a walk. But be prepared to get sand in your boots. Also parking is limited and there’s a lot of tourists. If you need to go to the bathroom do it before you start the trail.
