Awesome hike! The steps are still damaged from storm so we could not use the normal trail to get to the top. Very pretty views we were impressed and will be back.
Trail closed between lower and middle bridges
Extremely nice to be hiking again
I thought this trail was marked just fine. You can’t walk it with your eyes closed but I had no issue staying on trail.
nice fun trail
Quiet. Lotsa shade. Watch out for roots. The streams were great.
Nice short little excursion! Very pretty trail with some nice picnic areas by the river!
The bridge in front of the falls is closed due to damage. You can still hike up from either side trail.
Took the East Ridge Trail to the top (very challenging, steep, washed out areas so hiking on large rocks only in some areas) and made for a great day. Coming down I took the stair case, got near enough to the falls, the bridge is blocked off, followed by hiking down to the water pond and back to the visitor center. I highly recommend but be prepared for a challenge.
Very strenuous hike with limited scenery once you pass the falls. Bridge is closed, so you have to take an alternate loop.
Falls are beautiful, be prepared for a challenging hike up - can drive as an option
Wonderful hike in a beautiful Good Friday.
The falls are beautiful, the lower bridge was out so didn’t get to go to the top. Scenery was beautiful.
Falls were much bigger in person. Real cool to visit in the spring and chirp with folks starting their AT treks
The west trail is closed because of a storm a few days ago. No time frame on when it will be open. You also can’t get to the bottom of the falls. Very disappointing but still a beautiful park!
Easy hike with beautiful mountain views the entire time. The stairs were damaged when we visited, so we took the East Ridge trail instead. I'm almost glad they were! The East Ridge provided a worse (in my opinion) view of the falls, but a breathtaking mountain scene. 1 mile up, and 1 mile back down. $5 parking fee.
Like this trail a lot. It has quite a bit of parking but there are sports fields at the trailhead. The two times I have done this trail there have been tournaments being played. So on weekends parking was difficult but doable. The trail is fairly simple with a good mix of open fields, woods, and creek areas. Elevation changes are easy and short. For some reason Billy likes to run in open fields particularly when the grass is very long and wet. The beginning and end of this trail is through open fields so this fits the bill for her. There are a few sandy spots also where the creek is accessible.
I’m a sucker for a great waterfall. Warning, it’s a lot of stairs up to the top! But it’s so worth it it’s absolutely stunning. The trail aside from the waterfall is well marked and very peaceful.
Beautiful weather, great trail, pretty view of mountains and waterfall!
Beautiful views and falls...steep climb up but worth it
Well groomed trail with spectacular views of the waterfall and distant mountains. Highly recommend, just be ready ready climb up about 600 metal steps.
I hiked the ridge up to the fall, super quick but steep. Taking the stairs down was a cakewalk after that
crowded but worth it
