What is the point of this hike? It’s crazy long and there’s a bunch of pointless switchbacks and then you get to the “top” and there’s no view. Skip this one the gorge has better to offer
A little icy at the top, and foggy! I’m scared of heights so I got a little shaky at the top but it was beautiful for sunrise!
Hiked 1/23/21 Definitely NOT for someone like me who’s afraid of heights. Pretty steep mini hike with icy/slippery loose rocks about half a mile in. Overall the hike is pretty short and doable.
I would rate this as hard, but it is a beautiful hike with a phenomenal view.
Good hike
It was a beautiful day for this hike. Minimal foot traffic. Definitely steep with some areas being tricky to navigate due to mud and lots of rocks. Having good sturdy boots seems imperative. Hiking polls would have been great. Spectacular view, even watched a bald eagle fly in close. BATHROOM IS CLOSED....so don’t make the mistake I did and hold it till you get there
Even though this trail does not have a view from the summit, it has plenty as you hike up the trail. If you would like somewhat of a view at the summit keep hiking for about 0.3 miles and you will come to a grassy clearing with views of the George. I only saw 4 groups on this holiday weekend- good for social distancing.
Quick and easy hike up. Steep at some sections but good for anyone to get up.
Super tough and steep incline but absolutely worth it for the views! Definitely will be back!
Steep and rocky in some sections. Ankles beware. Worth the climb for the view.
Overgrown but passable
Steep trail, but view is awesome between Gresham and hood river
Definitely steep and rocky in some portions, I liked having good ankle support. Hiked on 12/5/20 and saw less than 10 people on the trail.
