Amazing waterfall. Cool campus too.

Really pretty trail. The autumn leaves truly made this hike seem yellow. A few easy stream crossings, I was glad to have a hiking pole though. The waterfall at the end is beautiful. About a 200 foot elevation gain on the way back from the falls. The hike from the falls back to the car took us 35 minutes.

I will be going back on a day the gorge is completely open. I loved this trail it was sooo easy because it was mostly paved. There are parts the you need a permit that is more boulder climbing. The stairs were not bad and has many places to rest! Will be going back again !

Great stop enroute to Maggie Valley. Clearly marked paths, good over looks and sure footed steps. Speaking of steps...ooft! The down was easy to the suspension bridge but the up...feel the burn baby! Overall a great place to visit.

Not too long, not too short to Yellow Branch Falls with a few creek crossings. Easy hike on the way to the falls, and easy/moderate on way back (due to elevation gain from climbing back out of the valley). There are flats along the way to recover. I hiked it on a cooler/dry day with my 22 month old son strapped to me in our Osprey carrier and there were a few ares where I had some slightly elevated breathing and some burning quads, but not too bad. Pack a lunch because there is ample space near the falls to relax, enjoy the view, and refuel. I also passed about 5 other hiking groups along the way (on a Wednesday afternoon) so it does see some traffic. The trails is also well maintained.

Beautiful fall walk to the waterfalls. One easy stream crossing across large rocks. Some gentle ups and downs on the walk. The trail is well marked and maintained. Very little parking. About 30 minutes from Clemson. Well worth the easy walk to see these gorgeous falls up close.

One of my favorite hikes!! Bring a lunch and enjoy the beautiful view!!

love this one!

This place is amazing. It is not for the weak. There are some tough river crossings, but this is exactly why I loved it! You must get there early (we got there at 6:30 am) to get in line at the gate. They only give out 100 permits per day to go down to the gorge floor and you cannot reserve them ahead of time. Trust me! It will be worth it.Some of the reviews in here complain about the difficulty and lack of a "real" trail.....EXACTLY why we loved it. Do the whole loop and give yourself the day to stay and enjoy it. Very beautiful

This was a beautiful hike! I definitely would not rate this as hard - more like moderate. The only difficult part was heading back up from the river. The waterfall and river are totally worth this short steep section. Otherwise very easy trail that makes for a nice afternoon hike!

Great hike with well marked trail. Waterfall is beautiful.

I love this trail but it is not for everyone .. first fall you must walk across tree to get there and the. Rest climb along tree roots and mountainsides .. I saw a lot of disappointed people that couldn’t get to the falls :(

Super easy, nice fall at the end and well marked. Good for all ages.

not too bad of a trail, overall. it's more for horseback riding and trail bikes. unfortunately there were deer hunters literally hunting ON the trails.

Fantastic hike to a beautiful waterfall! Not too difficult 1.5 mile one way. Creek crossings, wild flowers. Will be gorgeous in peak fall color season with all the hardwoods!

Great trail, but watch for the turns. It is largely unmarked. There is a large stone arrow on the ground at one junction that directs you the correct way. As previously reviewed, the last bit of the trail leading to the Chattooga River is STEEP! The views of the falls and the river make the climb worth it.

It was rough because of the upward slant but well worth the view at the top! Going down was a lot easier than going up! It's very wooded so when you're hiking you don't see see very far ahead of you. It took my group about 45 minutes going up.

Done the trails to Hurricane falls. Sooooo many steps down 560 so that means 560 up. Legs was quivering after this but well worth the hike. Breath taking views !
Loved it and will do this one again.

The waterfall is worth it!!

Only had time to buzz down to the bridge, then down to the water’s edge and back up to the visitor center before a wash out rainstorm. The place is primarily man-made steps as opposed to a nature trail, but the views are still worth a quick stopover. The stairs are all open-grating, so please reconsider taking your dog, especially if they have small paws.

Great hike a couple weeks ago, not too crowded due to the potential hurricane, trail was well maintained. One group of hikers on the trail did report seeing a mother bear and two cubs though, bring your bear spray with you.

Beautiful Gorge and great hike.

Another beautiful Sunday afternoon.hike. Completed the orange and red trails without breaking a leg or twisting f an ankle. Beautiful!!

Easy, Quick trail. Took 4 kids ages 17, 15, 9 and 5 in early September. Trail was easily managed. Highlight: Great photogenic falls at the end.

Easy trail with a beautiful waterfall at the end.

Nice short hike with a great payoff at the falls.

Trail well maintained. Pup loved it, a few streams to cross and the falls are gorgeous. Bring the bug spray.

This was an amazing start to the many trails we covered this weekend. The trails are navigatable but I used walking sticks to help a little climb up and down the terrain. Going to the bottom was well worth it. A family brought a picnic and sat on the rocks at the first area of falls to enjoy the scenery. So worth it if you want to try your skills at hiking along tree roots to get around.

I really enjoyed this hike. We had to take our shoes off to cross over in a couple of places but it was a nice little refresher as we waded across the creek. Probably would not do this one during the cooler months but as for today it was nice.

This is a very enjoyable hike with a nice view at the end. be prepared to climb over four or more down trees which are an approximately 2 to 3 ft obstacle. other than that it's not an extremely difficult hike.

Please keep this Trail clean and tell anyone that you recommend this field to, to do the same.
