Nice mellow hike. second half is shaded. Obviously, not too much water but it's worth seeing the end.

Loved the solitude. Extremely rocky but brautiful. Ruined a boot and was saved by a cole haan shoe that I came across and salvaged the lace. Be wary of the tides

Very nice moderate trail but BEWARE OF TONS OF POISON OAK.

There are so many different ways to go. I definitely need to come back and explore further. :) Cool trail, though I would have rated it as hard instead of moderate. There is a steep uphill and flight of stairs if you find rattlesnake trail, totally off of the main trail. :) Coming back soon with more water. :)

A bit charred still from the fires, and the water level is low, but still a pretty hike and nice loop, away from the hustle and bustle...but not too far so it’s easy to access!

Nice easy hike. Way too many people on the weekends. Unfortunately the last time I went there was some kind of company family event. There seemed to be a hundred ppl crowding the waterfall. Kids running and yelling everywhere. Not the peaceful experience i was looking for.

Amazing scenic trail. The upper falls is a challenge to get up and down but well worth the effort.

Just a trickle of water at the falls but otherwise the views are spectacular of the surrounding mountains. Saw a variety of different birds, plants and trees. It was hot but most of the hike is shaded thankfully.

Great afternoon ,great view.

Easy hike. Waterfall is very low at the end but has a few trickles

3/4 mile walk to trailhead from parking. Crossed 2 different snakes within the first .25 mile of trailhead. One was red and black

I took the drain pipe down to the shore and veered left heading to the shipwreck. It’s a long haul through often unstable rocks. I would not recommend this part of the hike for small children and dogs, nor would I recommend hiking this section alone unless you are an experienced hiker. It would be very easy to turn an ankle, and I had no phone/internet connection while I was at the shore. Once you reach the shipwreck, you have the option of scaling the cliff wall with hands and feet (dangerous and not recommended) or turning back to go the way you came in. Either option is unsavory if you are injured or exhausted. In the end, I’m glad I went. The wreck had some creepy factor to it which was fun, but I would not do it again by myself!

Had a good time. Started at the parking lot right where Paseo del Mar splits off from Palos Verdes Blvd. There are a couple of ways to go down the bluff but I ended up taking the Drain Pipe way. This trail is hard only in the sense that getting down and back up the bluff is a shuffle and the whole trail is on rocks. Would def recommend taller hiking shoes for ankle support and cushy socks.

Do not go anytime after September! The only thing you’ll see is a trickle of water that is supposed to be a waterfall. The water is green, dirty, and gross. This hike was more about the journey than the destination at least that’s what we had to say to ourselves in order to convince ourselves that the hike wasn’t a total waste.

Great hike, I go every morning during the week since I leave nearby. It’s a great workout and there are many friendly faces around!

Love this trail and will be back

This is a moderate trail. you can have option to push a lil harder by trying a stiffer road or just follow a flat road.

love it great for kids too

So beautiful and so worth it! It’s a very easy hike and there is a baby waterfall at the end too (Sep, 2018) Perfect to dip your feet in, take pictures and just relax. I bring my 9lbs pup with me and she loves playing in the water.

Definitely a fun hike. Not very challenging in the beginning but does get difficult if you want to climb to the second waterfall. The worst part is how far you have to park before the hike even starts. The main trail is mostly covered so it’s not as hot. As dude to the best the waterfall is nonexistent. If you want to see water you should wait until a big storm, which in SoCal rarely happens. We went with our two year old and made it just fine. Enjoy and be sure to drink plenty of water.

Took a beginner hiker and her dog and we had a blast! The hike provides great views with a couple stream crossing and at the end is a great little waterfall and pond to cool off in! Wasn’t too crowded either. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a fun afternoon hike!

This was my first hike. I enjoyed it!!

Enjoyed a beautiful day to take this trail. Have come here before back when the stream was pretty dry last summer 2017. Really enjoyed coming back, listening to the water run, and enjoying that waterfall was amazing!!

Even though the falls don't flow as much, it's still a great hike.

Easy trail, great for a quick nature walks and to get kids used to hiking. Beautiful gardens beautiful Trees. Great for meditation.

Great, beautiful challenging hike. My family are all avid hikers and this one was a bit difficult because of the rocks. I have weak ankles and even with wearing hiking boots with great support, two days after the hike it feels like my ankle has a mild sprain. However, DO NOT let that keep you from going on this hike! I loved it so much! We went down the area with the ropes and followed the shore all the way past the shipwreck and then up the steep hill back to the road. We didn’t stop at all because we were concerned about high tide closing us in, but we were still out there at high tide. The path was pretty narrow in some spots, but didn’t keep us from going through. We loved all the little crabs in between the rocks as we went! The only thing that I wasn’t too fond of was the seaweed. It was very slippery! We took a 8 and 10 year old. The 8 year old had a hard time by the end, but he doesn’t go on as many hikes as my son (the 10 year old). If you just want to see the shipwreck, I recommended going backward on the trail from this map and then going back. It’s much shorter and easier for those who don’t want to deal as much with the rocks. We started about 8 am and finished about 12 pm. We didn’t see any other hikers the whole time, just every once in a while we would see people fishing.

No waterfall and currently there is a foul smell where the waterfall is located. I suggest coming back after it rains, usually this is a nice hike.
