A must hike trail which covers 2 lakes and a beautiful glacier. This hike is scenic through and through. I have hiked close to 100 trails in 20 National parks and this is my favorite of all.
Breathtaking views. We went in August and my oldest son and I wore Chacos and shorts. This ended up being a huge fail because there was a ton of snow at Logan‘s pass and by the time we finish the hike, our toes were frozen. It was definitely an experience I’ll never forget. The views like most of Montana were amazing! Lots of wildlife and unpredictable weather. Be prepared. Sun, snow and hail in August. It is usually a busy trail, though due to COVID there were not many people.
It’s a terrific trail. First forrest, then lake side, then up! It’s relatively easy getting up, but expect wet shoes and slippery rock from the mini waterfalls on the way up. I saw someone fall. It’s great at the top. Don’t feed the wildlife! They’re good without your snacks. But you may see some.
Did this during a hailstorm in 2019. Tons of people as expected. Beautiful views, but as with most things in Glacier, too many people to relax. Best of luck finding a parking spot.
Fun, easy walk through the woods. The smell of the cedars is reward enough.
Will this open in 2021?
One of the best trails in the park. Although be aware some of the trail will close during bear season.
One of my favorite hikes ever! went in july and had to cross some small snow fields and the trail was closed beyond the overlook due to bear activity. saw lots of mountain goats and marmots, views were absolutely incredible. get there as early as possible for parking!!

Beautiful views and easy hike! Hiked Dec 24 and snowshoes weren’t necessary. Had to start from Camas Rd since the Fish Creek road is completely snow-covered, which adds about a mile. Take a right into the Fish Creek picnic area to join up with the AllTrails map. Recommend doing the Rocky Point Loop instead of out and back to the point.
Did it back in first week of September! Very beautiful and easy. Went to Avalanche Trail from this guy and made for an easy afternoon hike!
A beautiful hike thru a cinematographic and lush forest with overlooks into the McDonald creek and falls. The trail is well marked and today was a beautiful and bright day to do this hike as it wasn't muddy or foggy. We didn't see any wildlife except for some squirrels:)
I did this trail back on Sept 19 and it was a bit strenuous but 100% worth it. unfortunately the day I went was quite foggy and smokey from the fires in California but even then the moor views on the way up were incredible and we saw some sheep which looked beautiful.
Strenuous coming out of Logan Pass when there’s snow. Stunning views with mountains and glaciers around.
