Wonderful trail to hike if a bit muddy and slippery in some spots. However, be careful about parking. Three cars, including mine, were broken into.

Hiked this trail today. A little mud, but very easy to navigate. Had a blast.

We set off from the Seaside trailhead on a crisp, clear New Year’s Eve morning, around 8:30 am, and made it to Cannon Beach city center in about 6 hours, covering about 10 miles in total (26,000 steps). There were many points along the trail with spectacular vistas. Some of this may be obscured by foliage during spring and summer months because we noticed a lot of bare deciduous trees along the way. We loved the variety of forestation we encountered. There were some very muddy areas, and several of the boardwalks placed over them were weakened or broken. Largely a well kept trail, however. Hiker’s camp, the WW2 bunker, and Indian Beach were highlights of the day. We hardly encountered a soul until we got to that point. The only disappointment was that the trail from Indian Beach to Ecola Point is closed, so we chose to hike the road back. Other reviews suggest that it’s passable, but we didn’t want to risk it. Hopefully this portion opens back up; we’d definitely do this one again!

Easy and kids had a blast!

Beautiful views in the beginning. Pretty trafficked throughout

it freaked the kids out because the water was very high and rushing very fast I got a few good pictures and was glad it wasnt to far from parking

we loved this hike. the history and relics are very cool to explore.

My boyfriendand i had an amazing time. The hike was beautiful and serene. We took the back way thats straight up. We also had that trail all to ourselves.

it was an amazing hike for my boyfriend and I but be cautious of wildlife. We saw a mountain lion that came about 5yards away from us.

on Lime Kiln Trail

Very easy hike. A bit on the muddy side in November. The lake at the end is a far better destination than the kiln itself.

Did this hike for the first time today with my almost 5 year old. We did the whole thing (river loop and all) and it was great. Easy hike with well maintained roads. Perfect for children/families. And the kiln was pretty cool to check out!

If you start at Indian Beach- all the best views are basically at the beginning.

My dog and I went for a short hike today. Trail was clean with plenty of parking. Great easy hike. We only went 1.7 miles out. Highly recommend for novices like me.

Best summit hike on the coast.

Beautiful hike with fall leaves. Trail is closed near the end so can’t get to the tunnel. Still worth the hike. We are new hikers and this was perfect. It’s down hill first then quite flat.

nice little hike through the woods and by a beautiful river. stopped when we got to a bunch of trees that were down, but now realizing we could have climbed over and gone further, will go back to check it out. probably wouldn't drive a long distance to do this hike.

Was a bit disappointed this wasn’t as long as I thought it was and more of a walk than a hike. It’s main attraction is the fish ladder. No pass is need to park.

Just a beautiful hike along hwy 101 and parts of Oregon coast. Although some of the trail intersects with the road you barely notice it’s there.

My husband and I hike from the south trailhead. It took us about 45 minutes to get to the summit. We arrived at the viewpoint and noticed a large climbable rock behind us. It was indeed climbable and we had incredible views from the top. There was an easier way down that can be clearly seen from the top. Going up it is on the right of the trail just before the view. After a good hour on top trying to memorize the view we continued to the north trail head and were rewarded with more incredible views as we were nearing the trailhead. We ran the 2 miles back to our car

Go early to avoid a crowd at the top.

I really love this Trail. Great canopy, beautiful Lush Greenery, elevation, beautiful sights and sounds. Enjoy.

Great quick hike with views.

The view at the end makes it worth the long uphill hike. Def not easy but also not that bad. My 2 small dogs were able to do it with no problem and there were lots of kids on the trail. Recommend good hiking shoes. Lots of roots to climb over and a little muddy.

Absolutely beautiful; a majestic, fairy-filled wonderland! We parked a car at each end of the trail (highly recommend), and went from Indian Beach all the way to Seaside. Including our many stops for photo ops, and lunch break, it took 3.5 hours. There’s AT&T cell service the whole time, but definitely a good amount of mud. 81 flights of stairs, and about 14,000 steps according to the iPhone.

Fun hike. Started at Indian Beach parking lot and did the Tillamook Head out & back. The trail is a little muddy in places but it’s a rain forest so no big surprise. I’d wear some sort of hiking or trail shoe/boot just for the added traction.

parking wasn't bad. the trail was fairly easy at the beginning. starts to get a slight incline a bit later but overall was an easy and relaxing hike. The way back is worse though because its mostly up hill. Seeing the old kiln is cool and if you hike past that for a mile is the river which you can eventually go down to if you want. The path to the river is a bit narrow so be careful. I'd go again. I went during the week in the early afternoon.

Not much of a hike but a nice spot to chill by the rocks with the relaxing sound of the water especially on a hot summer day. However when you do please clean up after yourself. I found disgarded clothing, picnic food scraps by the small sandy area today and nothing irks me more than when people trash our beautiful parks.
