I like this trail, not really easy but I love climbing. The view was nice, too.

This trail is a hike. It a good incline to the top. But the views no picture can capture, you have to see for yourself. If you reach the top you can see all the way to the ocean! You also pass the 88/Nike Missile site from the Cold War. You will see cows and steer off the trail. As you get off the freeway and make your way there do not be deterred from the signs that say private bridge or area your are going to a public park your ok just take the road to the end ( it ends at the park ) there is a $5.00 fee but worth it.... enjoy

Nice trail! Went uphill but not too steep. Was a good workout and no one was on the trail. We arrived at 7 and were done by 9:15! Nice views of Santa Clarita valley. I suggest bringing bug spray!

Great views after a tough hike.

Dog owners don't pickup after their dogs. There is homeless encampment within the park. Coyotes occasionally seen roaming the area.

beautiful night hike! 1.8 mile hike. Once reaching the cave and you make it to the top! its all worth it. I love this hike. Beware of Rattle Snakes. I saw two, one under the rocks and the other on the cave. I'll post pictures. Be sure to follow me on I.g skyhighhiking

This was a fantastic hike with great views. I hike up this trail and come down the Las Llajas trail, which makes a roughly 9.5 mile loop. Great for a good calorie burn. Bring water.

I remember I went there few years ago by spot at this area. It was nice and pretty long trails 

This is a good moderate steady uphill climb with great views of Simi Valley and the San Fernando Valley. Just note that when you get to the first fork, head left rather than right to continue up the trail. I had veered right and there are a few scrambly climbs and a viewpoint and beautiful plateau like area with wildflowers, but to continue the trail, go left.

There were a surprising number of people on the trail for a weekday evening and everyone was quite friendly and seemed like experienced because no one seemed taxed.

I started the hike in the evening around 6.20 and wanted to get back before dark so I did not make it all the way to the top, so I definitely am coming back. Surprisingly, other people were starting up the trail around 7.40 so I would love to hear what their experience was like starting the climb an hour before dark!

This is a very simple trail. A lot of sun and no shade. it has very nice views of the yellow hills

Loved this trail but I guess I didn’t make it to the end so next time I’ll come back with hubby so we both finish it love it will be coming back ❤️

Yes, good uphill workout. Going counter-clockwise the descent can be a little steep and treacherous.

Great workout ! The major incline towards the end will kick your butt! Definitely go early on hot days.

Great hike. For beginners it will be challenging. Uphill mostly. Might be challenging for small kids. Great hike for moderate hikers. Great practice for backpacking.

A quick hike and good for families and kids. Even kids around 3 or 4 can also walk most of it. Has some shade along the way. Try and avoid windy and hot days. Most of the time hikers leave they dogs off the leash so watch for it when going with young kids.

If you follow the red trail that is shown, it is a steep and narrow trail. Took our two little kids and it was rough. I don't feel like the hike outlined is the correct one perhaps? We were definitely mislead. Lots of trail options there, but if you follow the red outlined trail, it's not easy and has you take strange paths. Wouldn't recommend for kids.

Moderate nice view

The first half of the trail is fine but the current detour is a nightmare - narrow trail loaded with bees. Also, the water fountain at the campsite doesn't give clean water.

nice trail. easy walk.. will come back next time for a run.

Went hiking at 4am to see the sunset it was amazing

Nice 4 miles with a loop. Pretty views. Lots of wildflowers and birds. But also a lot of BEES, bikers, and lizards. Went late morning on a Sunday and saw only a handful of other hikers. No parking lot, just a dirt pull out, and No port-o-johns.

Great for dogs

Hiked all the way to the Chumash trail and back. It turned out to be 8 miles for me. Great views once it cleared up. Got there at 5:30am on a Saturday and there was quite a few cars parked already. There more parking across the bridge.

Great trail and the incline to the top is a great work out and challenge. Lots of hawks circling overhead. Hills are still green and beautiful. I went up another 1.5 miles on the Rocky Peak trail. Just an awesome hike and workout.

First time hiking or doing anything physical in a really long time. Entered the trail at Larwin close to Chatsworth Park South. Followed the paved path till it ended and continued on the unpaved trail beyond it ... I wandered on a different trail by accident and found myself in a much rougher and steeper hike.... turned right instead of left after coming to a fork beyond the end of the paved path... There was still a trail but it was significantly tougher toward the top close to Lilac... Was worth it though and was proud of myself when I finally got to the sign. Now that I know where I turned wrong the next time should be much smoother! And btw... It’s still spring so watch that poison oak!

we hiked from Equestrian path to groove trail and down to ol melvenny trail... It's a workout but we got lured by the pretty flowers lol... the wildflowers were pretty but half way up to the top, we found out we hiked the harder way lol...so coming down was easier and very plain nothing floral loll....next time we may try other trails lol

This hike is amazing. The views go on as far as the eye can see. I felt like the further back on the trail I went the more beautiful the scenery was. Well worth the climb!

I love the rivers ! Beautiful scenery too I was really impressed with this trail with the easy access and location yet I felt like I was away in a forrest somewhere else.
