Wow great hike and it lives up to the difficult rating. Be prepared with hiking boots and plenty of water I went to the left at the start and did the loop that way definitely will feel this one tomorrow.

Trail head was difficult to ID at first, but after asking around, we parked at Paseo Del Mar & Avenida Mirola. The view is amazing. Very rocky path.

Great hike, but you may have to swim a small section to get to the tide pools. We will def come back with swim suits so we can get across to the tide pools next time.

Very easy hike. Very packed on weekends. Plenty of shade. Bathrooms at trailhead were clean. Plenty of parking. The only reason for a three star rating was due to how many people were on the trail.

Fun trip, until I encountered a big brown bear blocking the road when I was getting back. it was getting dark and had to wait until it went away. The bear was not scared of me or all the noise I was making.

Nice hike, with much needed shade. Watch your step, don't be like me who talks more than pays attention to whats in front of him

weird to see the graffiti and smokers but it's a good hike with kids.

Definitely hard for beginners but great motivation to start. A lot of people come through that do it a couple times in a row. The top is worth the struggle though and you can see the back of the Hollywood sign at the top.

First hike in a while and decided to do it to clear my head. A friend told me it’s a great hike with a little bit of a challenge but nothing too hard. Half way through I was out of breath as I was getting over a cold. The hike was fun, challenging and refreshing. If you want to get back into your hiking mood this is a trail to start with.

WAY too crowded. Too many people. Dog crap everywhere and no one picks it up. Trash and crap graffiti. People on the trail don’t have etiquette and will block the whole trail and go slow. Won’t allow others to pass. Waterfall is unimpressive.

October 22: Solo’d to the waterfall and only one wrong turn.

This is definitely hard but we enjoyed the adventure. Backpacked our little one down the whole way and stayed low. Our 7yr old son was very into it. When it comes to walking on rocks the whole way we didn't really mind it and it was fun working our way to the end.

Good Socal hike with great views of the mountains.

Didn't really enjoy it. Walking on rocks all the time and the shipwreck is not worth it.

A nice and easy trail to a beautiful beach

This is a relatively easy hike but, as other reviewers have mentioned, it's very crowded on the weekends

It’s horrible here on the weekend... Lots of trash, dog poop, people making out and people smoking! Never on the weekend again!

Any waterfall because of the rain yesterday?

I’ve done this hike twice and it’s one of my favorites. I like that you get a little workout and not pushing too many miles. Perfect place to bring friends from out of town. Once getting to Cuhuenga Peak and passing the Wisdom Tree you can make your way to Mt. Lee to get to the back of the Hollywood sign. Planning on doing it at night for the views.

Very nice. Plenty of parking, well marked trail, friendly people, beautiful scenery, and nice waterfall at the end.

An iconic L.A. hike and one of my favorites in Griffith Park, but you need to prepared for a steep, rocky, unshaded climb. The views from the ridge between the Wisdom Tree and the Hollywood sign are great, with the old Hollywood studios to the south, and the newer Warner and Disney studios to the north. On a clear day, your view stretches from the ocean to the San Gabriel Mountains. On a foggy "June gloom" day, you look down on the marine layer in the valleys and feel like you're deep in the wilderness. Except for the freeway noise. But, like I said, an iconic L.A. hike.

Wear real hiking boots or hard soled shoes. You can actually drive down closer to the start of the real trail. The All Trails App has you starting in the neighborhood and walking half a mile up the trail start. Some parts might be tricky during high tide so be mindful.

a nice little hike plenty of shade lots of different plant life but not much water this time of year but still worth the trip relatively easy

Took our kids yesterday and it was a great hike! There’s some type of bridge at the very top of the mountain. We didn’t hike that far but looks cool!

It was well worth the millions of rocks we had to walk through. We recorded about 6.5 miles total maybe because we took the long way. I’d recommend coming back up past the shipwreck to just walk a regular path back which was probably around 3.3 miles.

Nice mellow hike. second half is shaded. Obviously, not too much water but it's worth seeing the end.

Loved the solitude. Extremely rocky but brautiful. Ruined a boot and was saved by a cole haan shoe that I came across and salvaged the lace. Be wary of the tides
