Great local hike when time is limited.

Nice, easy hike with decent view at the top. About an hour and a half round trip. Bottom can be pretty muddy in the spring and after rain.

Beautiful and different terrain than normal

I love walking this trail with my dog but there are so many ticks. I checked her before leaving during the spring/summer and I pulled at least 5 ticks off of her each time. (this is with her collar that usually does the job) Other than that it is a beautiful trail and I've never had any ticks on me.

After the last few hikes I took, I was looking for something more scenic and less strenuous. This trail was perfect. Easy trail with some slippery rocks and a couple of steep staircases. It took about an hour and a half with stops for photos. The falls are beautiful and flowing due to the week of rain we had. The leaves are just starting to change. Beautiful views at the start of the trail and at the falls. I plan to go back in a week or so to check out the foliage progress. Only downside I found was the amount of people there. It's definitely a busy place. Some people there were loud and rather obnoxious. I'll try a different time of day next time!

Fast, easy hike with great views at the top of the trail. The waterfall is great on a hot day, and parts of the cliff that we had to duck under to pass were especially fun for the kids.

Easy trail, more of a walk than a hike. Not much of an elevation gain at all, any age can do this. Beautiful views at the top of the tower. Informative signs listed along the trail providing details about the history of fire towers which was interesting. The trail is marked well with markers that are a picture of a fire tower. A little confusing finding the start of the trail, pay close attention to the map to find where to park. The trail is surrounded by lakes that you can walk around after which are nice as well. Took at most 2 hours to complete.

Nice woodland preserve, but the trail markings can be erratic. It's easy to wander down a clear path that tapers off to raggedy scrub. The blue trail markers in particular seem to be clustered so close together that it has two or three blazes on one tree, and three more on the next tree 12 feet away, and then five more blazes on the next five trees. Then, nothing....
So download the map before you head out, or follow the blue dot as you go, to make sure you don't end up climbing several extra ravine slopes in search of the path.

very nice trail, pretty easy, and great signs.

Beautiful trail. Have snowshoed as well. Would certainly not consider it as difficult or hard. However, depending on your activity level, I guess it could be.

Love this hike. Be prepared for a few steep climbs, which are tricky when muddy. Access to the creek at the end of the trail was rewarding and refreshing. Good chance for the dog to splash around and cool off!

Nice trail with varying difficulty levels. On average, I'd rate it moderate instead of hard. There's a tiny pebble beach along the way, which was a refreshing spot for our dog (and my feet!) to cool off.

Great easy hike. slight climb in elevation. Great view from fire tower.

Nice view at the top, saw some dogs!! (Frogs, salamanders, voles, and finches, too!)

Combined this with Fire Tower and it was a good hike. Pretty forest views. Good if you want to work on your cardio and just get some miles in. Trail is mostly flat with tree roots. A few rocky areas.

if you want to make this a much better hike and not pay the high price of $6 for parking right on old stage road you'll see a small parking lot that can hold around 10 car or you can parl along side the road if full. this spot will take you too 2 great overlooks. you see on the this map the dotted line call high point road. the second overlook is were hang gliders jump from. then take escarpment trail that will take you into the park and you'll be on Indian trail. this will make your hike a 100 times better.

I took my kids (ages 9, 10, and 12) and it was easy for them. Very sandy, but its cleared well. Not much to see, but the hilly parts are partitioned off into steps that make it easy for younger climbers. There was also a book posted periodically to keep them entertained. I will go again.

Beautiful views and rich history. Loved spending time with my husband and kids here. Lots of picnic areas as well once your off the trails.

This trail was recently re-opened after a closure of about a year. The park did some trail work in the down time which included re-surfacing and scaling some of the cliffs. Stairs, boardwalks and trail surface were all in good shape. Great to be back "below the cliffs".

Might be easy for some, but I found it steep and not well marked. will try it again in dryer weather.

A little steep to first get onto the trail but once on it’s a great trail.

Lovely and easy

Great little walk. Sturdiest fire tower I have been in. Great view, except for the cell phone tower.

I hike this often as it's practically around the corner from where I live. The green trail is doable for just about anyone, a few steeper spots but basically very easy. If you take the red blazed trail (at the second curve) it becomes a challenge, about half a mile of 60° incline climbing. This hill has has something for everyone. Butterflies are abundant around the first day of summer on the summit's meadows.

Really nice hike! It's a little bit of a climb at first on the green trail, but it levels out once you get to the top on the yellow loop. Took me about an hour to complete without stops. It's a bit icy and muddy in certain parts at this time of year. Well-maintained trail and beautiful views of local farms and the surrounding area.

such a unique place, it's small but magical.
