Views were great but its more of a moderate hike rather than a hard one.

Great views!! Difficult trail, recommend hiking poles. Rocks are slippery coming down. Few places knee high rocks to climb. Few narrow trail spaces too. As many have wandered around to get pictures lot of side tails have developed. Stay on course. I would suggest they add more trail markers towards the end close to the overlooks.

The hike was great. We arrived around 9:00 a.m. Not too many people there until we hiked back. The view was spectacular! Would do it again

A bit of a tough hike but worth it! Amazing view from the top! It was uphill and had some steep parts. Took my German Shepherd with me.

Loved it. Starts out along roadside but stick with it. Trail heads into woods and stays along creek and mountainside. Really enjoyed it. No bathroom.

We loved this hike! Definitely a workout but we worth it! We went past preachers rock and there was another stunning view. We hiked about four miles in and then four miles back. Well worth the hike.

Moderate to difficult the closer you get to the summit. Well worth it! Awesome views

Best hike ever !!!

Other than the two snakes not a bad climb knocked one star trail not clearly marked in some places

Watch out for snakes. Follow green blazes otherwise you might end up taking a side trail. Difficulty moderate

Superb Hike I will call it ! Amazing trail ending up to the mountain view. For naive hikers, its little difficult, me and my wife climbed it in 1 hr. Definitely recommend it to hike this Mount.

This trail is a more strenuous than “moderate”. I really enjoyed it but considering the elevation and the steep climbs, many quite rocky I would err to rate this more “hard”. I took this trail and veered off to the the Len Foote Hike Inn trail, this was an 11 mi loop back to the park and well worth it as the Hike in trail was a good balance to this strenuous trail.

Agree with other reviews...moderate hike, decent workout, KILLER view.

Cool hike. Nice views

This was a beautiful, moderate hike! Our weather was great. If you walk a little past preacher’s rock to where the trail splits - take the trail to the right with the blue blazes and you get a second, beautiful overlook.

I started around 7:30am and got to the top of springer mountain at about 10. The ascent to Springer is pretty rough, but well worth it. I also took the Len Foote trail back to Amicalola Falls which I’m happy I did. There is a little more to look at. Overall, this is definitely one of my favorite hikes to date.

The views from Preachers Rock are gorgeous! Could have stayed up there all day. The hike up, while not extremely difficult, did get a good muscle burn going on. The hike is dog friendly if they are on leash. I brought one of my pups along for it. He had a great time. This trail is pretty crowded through and through. I did go on a Saturday, I'm sure that didn't help.

Not hard. Maybe moderate +. Watch the trail as easy to get off due to many ‘side trails’ and cut throughs.

I'm assuming the "hard" rating is relative to the area. Compared to other hikes in N GA, I guess it's hard. If you are not in shape and new to hiking an incline, it could be challenging. 1,500 feet in 2 miles is not easy, but with a decent pair of shoes, most should be able to summit and enjoy spectacular views. As with any activity, bring enough water. even though it was 68 degrees, the humidity under the canopy is quite high, and you will sweat.

So the actual hike wasn't difficult. The views from Preacher's Rock are pretty awesome. We went early to try and catch the sunrise... but what we actually caught was a nice walk in the clouds. The temperature was very pleasant and the added moisture from the clouds was nature's A/C. However the map from Alltrails was a bit misleading. The was our first trip so I relied solely on the app. It had us walking an extra mile thinking there was more to see... There was not. So unless you are planning on hiking to Blood Mountain don't go past Preacher's Rock.

1st half moderate and 2nd challenging at times. It’s worth the effort for the peace and nice breeze

Rode a 14.2 mile route option. Roughly 6 mile climb to summit and alternating downhills and some climbs for the return. Beautiful creeks and falls along 224A and 77A trails.

Lovely views. I could see all the way to Atlanta from the top. The trail is difficult for beginners and moderate for the average hiker. It is just almost non-stop inclines all the way up. The trail is marked, but be sure to keep an eye out for markers on the way up and down as there are several side trails, and it's not always well marked.

Not too difficult with great views

Great views at the top.
