another stunning park!. Shawnee national forest ceases to amaze me.

Def need to come back and spend more time here. not a big park, but the feeling you get reminiscing of the Indians and how they must have lived was inspiring.

Definitely making another trip back!!! We could spend all day here and still not see everything!! We loved it! Nice trails and beautiful rock formations! We will definitely go back soon!

Nice short trail with a lot to see!! Absolutely beautiful!! Can't wait to go back!

We had a blast! Definitely be back!

Great little place to stop and visit when jumping parks!! The kids enjoyed it very much! Very neat!

The view is Amazing!

There is a trail at the top of the park with a sign across the roads from the cabins, but it does not follow what is shown on the app. It appears that they are trying to create more trails in this wooded area. Part of this trail includes paved roads to get to the cave, which is awesome.

Once we found the trail (at the boat ramp as stated by Brenda L), the views at the top were great. The trail shown on this app is the gravel road around the campground and boat ramp. From the boat ramp to the top of Tower Rock and back is .5 miles.

Path is well maintained around top loop, and is what you would expect from an easy walk in the woods. When you reach the staircase that takes you down to the ox-lot cave the landscape drastically changes. There are extraordinary rock formations, sheer cliffs, and exciting small caves. You could spend an hour in this area alone exploring all the rock formations. Overall the loop took us 1.5 hours with lots of exploring.

Nice easy trail with great views and rock formations. Worth a look if in the area.

Not surprising that this is a big draw for visitors, beautiful vistas for very little work! Fun scrambling on the rocks, good late afternoon cap on a day of more intense hiking.

Very cool hike, learned a thing or two from the signs too.

Beautiful area to explore. Definitely bigger than I was expecting! You’re welcome to climb on the rocks as much as you want which added for extra entertainment. Could’ve spent hours just sitting and taking in the view

A well maintained trail....a good cardio workout because of the length out and back on a mountain bike. No technical riding, though, just straight pedaling. Nice facilities along the way.

The trail itself is a little bit boring and nowhere near hard. I know the trail is rated as hard, but it is easy to moderate at its best. I would have given it 5 stars if there would have been water in the river. It was very dry so it wasn’t so beautiful. 3 stars isn’t really what I wanted either, but it won’t allow me to do 3,5. If you are afraid of spiders, now is not the time to hike this trail as there are spiderwebs all over the place. I almost turned around after constantly getting webs in my face. I eventually walked with a stick to destroy all the webs. I went off trail at one point to walk along the dry riverbed and to do some rock climbing. That made it much more exiting. I combined this trail with the natural bridge and the white trail. 5 miles in total.

Absolutely amazing views!

What a great app indispensable out in the Shawnee. Simply pick a trail and it links up with googl to get you there!

cool rock formations

Most of the trail was blocked by fallen trees. Trail is not well marked. Pretty much just got to see the rock formations from the trailhead.

Nice secluded camping with view of the Ohio River. However, the trail map is incorrect. The trail does start at the boat ramp, but ascends up into the forest with scenic views.

Beautiful scenery!

Never disappointed! Beautiful!

Beautiful trail! There are a couple spots where the markers are difficult to see but we found them after a few minutes of looking closely.
Be careful if you go out when the weather has been rainy, a couple people in our group slipped by the creek.

This was a fun hike with some cool rock structures to appreciate (boulders, bluffs, small caves, lookouts). There were also several small trails that branched off this lollipop route to some primitive & top-of-the-bluff campsites. Depending on the section of trail you might also notice you go from being below a predominantly evergreen forest canopy to a deciduous canopy. Side note: there was loads of poison ivy.

I enjoyed hiking this trail it offered some challenges due to the slippery rocks and stream crossings. It started out easy enough until you come to the first stream crossing and the rocks. It was somewhat a task to get back up to the trail. Good traction shoes are a must here. The trail than get obscured a little after the stream crossing and one can find themselves gone astray from the trail, that happened to me. I found the trail again and the rest of the hike was no issue.

Traveled from Tennessee just to see it and it didn’t disappoint. Just wish it was a little longer. Absolutely beautiful!!

Fun hike with a 7 year old in tow. Enjoyed the rock formations and ox-lot cave. Very relaxed and educational.

The rock formations were really cool. We had fun climbing on all the rocks. Views were amazing!
