A short but rigorous hike; pretty steep most of the way up. The trail isn’t well marked but the views are gorgeous. Once you hit the viewpoint with the Bald Knob sign you can turn around (there’s nothing past there closer to the actual summit) and it only takes about a mile to get to that point. I will probably hike this again but will do so via the Bald Knob cutoff trail that’s at the actual trail parking lot.

My annual Bridal Veil Falls hike! Every winter I make this enjoyable hike and this year did not disappoint. Not too strenuous of a hike, if you're in decent shape, and spent some time at the frozen falls poking around exploring. There were a couple of ice caves that I was able to stick my head in to grab some pictures. In one of them was a frozen ice column that was so smooth/clear it looked like glass! Mother Nature at her finest. Wore microspikes and made things much easier however you could probably manage without them.

I only went to Georgiana Falls. The trail was muddy, eroded, and got rocky towards the end, and the rain didn’t help. We stopped at a cascade, then I scrambled up some steep and slippery rocks to get to the waterfall. I imagine it would be much nicer on a drier day in late spring.

Went mid Jan. parking and trailhead were closed. Had to park on side of road and trek through the snow to meet up with the trail. Great winter waterfall! Short and easy trail.

Amazing out and back following the water. A favorite annually

We only went as far as the top of upper Georgiana Falls (1.8m). That cut out almost half of the elevation gain, making it a hike easy enough for our young kids. Our favorite hike in Franconia Notch with young kids, however, is the Basin Cascades Trail to Kinsman Falls.

nice hike, one of my favorites. great viewsa

Wow, super views at the top and really fun terrain. We went the day after it had rained a lot, so little streams we had to cross we’re pretty full! Good water proof boots a must. Definitely gets challenging near the top - climbing up rocks; very fun. Enjoy!

Beautiful views at the top. Trail near the top not marked well and required a scramble up steep granite. Steep hike overall and rocky and challenging for newbies like myself, but doable.

lovely falls. easy to reach for such a stunning set of falls

Fun hike with amazing views at the top. I feel like this place is a hidden gem- doesn’t get nearly as crowded by tourists and large groups like other mountains in the area. First half of the trail is easy, pretty flat and winds around some brooks. Second half is where it gets more challenging, the first 1/4 or second half is moderate and the last 1/4 there are steep areas with a lot of rock scrambling. The views at the summit are totally worth the hike. Took us about 2 hours round trip ( not counting the time we spent relaxing and taking pictures at the summit)

Really fun hike with breathtaking views. Not insane, but it'll get you sweating. Starts out easy, then medium, then an adventurous climb to the top. Was 2 hours up and 1.5 hours down for my us.

views were Exquisite Falls was beautiful Trail was not well marked

Beautiful falls! Worth trekking back up all those steps!

Starts off very easy, more of a walk than a hike, but the last 1/4 mile or so feels like you do all 700ft of the gain straight up! A work out, but so worth it when you make it to Georgiana Falls. Beautiful spots to grab some photos, and to sit and enjoy a snack by the falls. A little narrow and some rock climbs/hopping, so can be tricky for dogs who aren't used to that sort of hiking.

Easy walk but quite a few stone steps. Falls is spectacular!

Short and sweet! Beautiful view!

I would do this again in a second but would be more prepared with water and better footwear. I thought my 15 year old daughter and I would cruise up and down this short hike in no time. It was great, a little muddy and my heart was pumping toward the top. Only saw 2 other hikers on way down.

A fun trail plus a waterfall.

I am not sure I found the correct trailhead as my hike up to the top was less than 1 mile. Trail did have red markers and woman at camp store on Bents road had directed me there. It was a nice trail but much shorter than I had anticipated. Very steep at the very end but it was mostly ground and a few larger rocks so manageable for both my dog and me.

fun hike.
nice view at the top, we then went to the top of turtleback from bald knob,
explored different trails on the way down. would recomend to give it a go.

Great for kids!

Great hike but trail poorly marked in some areas. Especially at the top after you pass the Coppermine shelter

Beautiful but lots of steps on the way back !

An easy, short hike for my family with 7 year old daughter. Well taken care of trail has beautiful carved granite steps that can be a challenge on the way back up for young children. Worth the short hike!

Nice quick hike that is not difficult. It's a nice walk in the woods and a lovely view of Wells River and Woodsville when you get to the top. We saw no other people. Peaceful!

Great views, light traffic. Not an easy hike, especially at the end, but a lot of fun and a big summit with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the views.

A great hike for kids and dogs. The only exception is the top. There is a pretty steep cliff area, not too much room to sit (worrysome with little kids). We hiked with our 4 and 6 year olds who did awesome! We only saw 1 other group of people, so very quiet hike.
My only complaint is that the trail map on this site did not match the very well marked trail. We had no problem finding our way though, the trail is marked perfectly.
