not a difficult trail, nice views probly better when it's nicer out

Hiked this out and back in two sections.

Day #1 - Started at Mcconells Mill and hiked to about a mile past Walnut Flats and back. The steady rain made footing pretty tricky but it was a challenge with some amazing views. Total - 10.5 miles

Day #2 - Started from Hell’s Hollow and hiked just short of Walnut Flats and back. On way back to car we took the Hells Hollow falls trail which was beautiful. Total - 7.5 miles.

Overall the trail was challenging and had lots of stream crossings, rocky terrain and some sizable elevation. A must if your in the area.

Sooo I loved this hike! I’m in my thirties.. very do-able. However, my two hiking buds were in their 60s annnd this was a bit strenuous for them. 100% recommend trekking poles for someone who isn’t as able- bodied or wants that extra support. I would describe it as light rock crawling lol ... muddy, sometimes slick. I’d say it was about 6 miles round trip. The trail was beautiful though! I just probably wouldn’t have chosen this trail if I knew it was going to be as challenging for those I was with. I’d also leave the pups at home... ours pull way too much for this one. I’ll be back better prepared :) and wear better footwear than tennis shoes.. I doubt this area is ever dry.

really cool trail that wanders through several lakes. definitely would recommend walking straight thru to the end then on the way back turning right at the South point trail sign.

Great trail. Short and an easy loop, but the inclines are nice and the few rock ledges are great for taking a rest and looking over the gorge. I take pups there AFTER we’ve gone for relatively long hike to cool off.

Favorite place to hike!

Love the scenic view, great hike/workout!

Clean, beautiful trail. Perfect in the fall.

Recommend going after some rain! Falls were impressive after 3 days of rain. Large parking area and bathrooms at trail head.

These falls are very cool ... from the parking lot there is multiple trails you can take, so you could hike for a couple hours or just hike the 5 minutes to the waterfalls.

Quick and easy hike with great scenery.

This is only a very small portion of the trail. The full trail is over 37 miles long and ends in Harrison Hills Park. There doesn’t seem to be trail guide in the app for the full trail but you can see it if you zoom the map out. The full trail is very difficult and there is a challenge event held every year by the trail association.

Beautiful hike to explore. Great to hike in the fall! Watch your footing though lots of roots.

awesome trail, beautiful views. definitely not a beginner hiker's best option. some of the hill climbs are steep, but the trail is well marked and very easy to follow. we took our time & it was about a 4-1/2 hour hike from hells hollow falls to the covered bridge at mcconnels mill. also, we didnt see ANY litter along the whole hike, not did we see many people!

great hike. some challenging hills.

Nice hike- we did it clockwise and enjoyed great views the whole time.

Very good hike, beautiful views and long hike. Would definitely recommend and go again.

Easy trails. Absolutely beautiful park-like setting. We also did the Canopy Walk and the Tower. It was a great outing - perfect to take the kiddos.

After doing shorter hikes in Yellowstone we decided to push ourselves to do something longer than 2 miles. So glad we did. Beautiful views of the lake and the mountains.

Nice day hike with views

The Gorge Overlook was a pleasant, easy trail. It gets crowded by Old Man’s Cave. Recommend to go early morning to beat the crowds.

Great trail. Only takes about 25 minutes. Trails are marked. ONE SQUARE = STRAIGHT. TWO SQUARES= what ever side the top square is, that’s the way the trail goes. (Left top square, go left, right top square go right) 3 SQUARES= either way

A moderately challenging, relatively quick hike with some great views!

Tough initial hill, smooth sailing after that.

Two years ago: good hill, trail goes behind a big red barn
located in the Oneil Wood Park off Martin Road. I prefer to go left to avoid climbing a zillion stairs. Return loop on other side of parking lot.
