Great hike lots snow last 10min hike.4/15/2018

Did this hike on 4-14-18. It rained the whole time, some of the trail was washed out but manageable. Tons of snow at the top which had me wishing I had brought my snowshoes. Overall a super beautiful hike, was surprised how many others braved the weather for it!

Went in the rain. Super wet trail. Lots of creeks and rock hopping to cross. Still a lot of snow towards the top which could be a tad slippery with some sink holes. Beautiful hike nonetheless

Amazing! This is a must do. The experience is great. It can be a little rough once you reach the rocks, but the top is so totally worth it. Moderate is a great description of this trail, depending on conditioning, and can be challenging at spots for some. The top is worth it!!

Not a bad little trail. My first ever Washington hike. Very nice!

on Barclay Lake Trail

Snow has melted enough to get to the trailhead and through to Barclay Lake. Service road has dozens of potholes so do use caution if driving a lower vehicle. Trail was clear and takes you alongside the river, crossing a small bridge and then to the Lake. Stunning view straight up from the base of the mountains. The lake was still mostly covered by snow and ice, but it’s a tranquil spot. We even heard some of the snow pack cracking and falling down from the mountainside. Great hike for solitude and exploration.

The wooded trail is in great condition considering a very rainy day. Got to top of Upper Falls and kept going to Wallace Lake along forest road. Forest road has places of snow cover. Returned to parking lot along Greg Ball trail. Very wet due to rain. Let’s just say the trail was a very very shallow creek. All in all very rainy day for a hike. But enjoyed the hike just as well.

didn't make it to the lake due to snow pack but very pretty

April 2nd: Gorgeous hike!! I set out at 7:00 and enjoyed the trail to myself. After reaching the Greg Ball trail there was snow on the ground. By the time I reached Wallace lake it was ankle deep! The trail is well enough maintained that it was easy to hike in the snow. I almost made it around to the north side of the lake (pebble beach) but a section of the trail was flooded.

The trailhead parking lot is very nice with real bathrooms. A Discover Pass is required, or a $10 day use fee.

beautiful hike especially with the snow. can't wait to do it in the summer.

Always a good hike. Very wet for the first mile. About 3/4 way up is all packed snow, a bit slippery. We made it without micro spikes or poles, but one or both would have been very helpful. Make sure to bring proper foot ware. At the lake, the sun popped out and we were able to witness (and hear) 4 or 5 mini avalanches across the lake.

Limited parking so go early. Good trail. creek crossing a bit tricky but the views at end are worth it. would do this again.

An awesome trail with a great reward at the end. It's the hardest trail I've done, and will definitely keep going back. It's a hard trail, and that's what makes it fun. Bring hiking poles, you'll need them.

nice hike. still lots of snow but well worth it

Amazing view, worth the hike.

nice hike snow and icey about 3/4 of the way up so be careful..lake is frozen over but the views where spectacular

great for kids and dogs. we will be back

Easy hike definitely not moderate. Only downside was it was not well marked but we didn't have too much issue navigating. Muddy. Pretty falls.

Sunrise hike here is amazing!

This hike wasn’t tough. It’s easy not moderate. Signage was really bad, went the wrong way twice. Nice stroll though. Wear boots...there is a good amount of mud and 2-3 washed out sections.

Quick and easy hike without hardly any elevation change. The falls at the end of this trail are pretty. It was moderately trafficked in the middle of the day. There are a couple spots where you need to cross the water, so be prepared for that.

So fun! And easy, great walk through the woods with abandoned cars along the way!

It’s a nice trail.

very easy hike with such a gorgeous waterfall at the end. definitely worth the free hours in and out. definitely must on spots close to the falls.

Road was closed when i got there. I had to walk extra 2 miles to the trail head, and it was covered with a lot of snow. Will come back when it has better condition.

Hiked to Lake 22 on Saturday and the parking lot was full and slightly icy. Had to park across the street in the entrance of the second lot, as that was completely covered in snow and a car got stuck trying to go in. The hike is really pretty easy, definitely icy and lots of snow. The lake is starting to thaw and there was a high avalanche warning, but it seemed safe to me. Super beautiful!

Beautiful day for a beautiful hike. Mix of dirt, water, slush and snow. Threw on the spikes about a quarter miles from the lake just to get there faster. Lots of people and a tight trail when you have to pull off to let people pass, you’ll go down a snow hole.

03/11/18 - Beautiful as always. Lots of snow for a majority of the hike, a mix between slush at the bottom and packed at the top. Poles were helpful and I did not have trouble without microspikes, although there would definitely be benefits to having them.

Bring sunglasses!

Beautiful day up there! A little muddy in places but not bad at all.

This hike was great if you want to be ensconced in the beautiful trees of the PNW. Beautiful, Easy trail with some descent signs so didn’t get lost. The trail is rated as moderate but I would say it is on the easier side. (And I am not an expert hiker) We did have to cross the creek on a log...probably the most difficult part, but you can just cross easily if you don’t mind getting a bit wet.
