Only did downhill. The lookout point looked nicer than the falls. Nice rock hopping after the falls.

Trail starts at the Big Canoe Fitness Center and winds around and across Lake Disharoon to the Lower Falls Trail, to the Upper Falls Trail, to the Nancy Womack Trail and the around Mount Oglethorpe on the Old Appalachian Approach Trail and then back. This trail includes one of the steepest inclines in Georgia but it only last for a little over a mile.

On the easier side of Moderate this is an incredibly well maintained trail on private land with pretty waterfalls

Private community need access to big canoe community. Easy and along a creek most of lower falls then we crossed Jeep trail and followed signs to upper falls- first part of that trail had some steep parts! Picnic tables and bear trash cans at the upper falls

OHV/Off-road driving

Nice easy trail for a beginner or family ride with a cabin to explore, two waterfalls and several creeks to drive through. You definitely want to have an SUV or Jeep with a little ground clearance. It’s inside Big Canoe, so you have to have a pass to get to it too.

We took the Jeep Trail to the Lower & Upper Falls. Wide trail & several places to cross the creek. There were both rocks and foot bridges. We only passed one 4 x 4. Good elevation and several interesting features along the way. Well-shaded. (We took the Jeep Trail because my daughter reasoned at 8-10 feet wide we’d have less of a chance of running into snakes.)

This is a great trail, lots of tree cover and takes you to 2 very nice, small waterfalls. Just keep in mind that this trail is only accessible inside the gates of Big Canoe and is not open to the general public. If you’re spending time in BC, take a few hours and explore this trail. You won’t be disappointed.
