The view was amazing and I saw 3 deer.

Love it here ❤️

A must if you’re in Tampa, FL

It was very beautiful, lots of beautiful plants and trees, along with many alligators!!

Awesome.

I remember going here as a child to walk the trail with my parents. Made some lasting memories here and hope to eventually bring my kiddo here as well :)

Surprised to find this little gem in Florida. Can be technical at times. Loved the rides.

I bring my baby here to jog every Saturday morning. Always clean and friendly. Very quiet and peaceful at 8 am!

Nice place

It was fun...until we got lost. The maps aren’t worth a crap and somehow we ended up on the horse trail. Plenty of bugs to go around. I was miserable by the time we got back but BOY did we get a work out. Very adventurous and a good place to unwind in nature if you’re good at navigating with crappy maps.

Fabulous! A trip through different ecosystems- each one a true treasure. And if you don’t want to cross Morris Bridge Road, I suggest you sign up with AllTrails so you can get detailed maps and info on the numerous small trails accessible off of the Main Trail loop.

Best mountain biking you can find in FL. Variety of single tracks for any skill levels all the way to double Black trails.

Don't be mislead. This is no hiking trail. This is a paddling adventure only.

Had a great hike with the kids there. Saw gators, turtles and a hawk. The rapids are beautiful, bathrooms & playground are nearby.

Great park to run in. Nice large paved trail.

This is a short little trail that is good for a quick day hike to keep yourself in shape if you don't have time to hike a regular trail. It's one mile trail.

Awesome trails! Just gotta make sure e you stay on trail. Watch for the colored tees to make sure you’re on trail and you’ll be fine!!! One of my favs for sure!

fun but don't go on this trail in the hot weather

family friendly fun. very well maintained. took my 6 and 16 year olds on a fathers day hike. both had a great time. saw 3 alligators and a lot of turtles, birds, and squirrels. definitely one of our favorite hikes in this area.

My favorite mtn bike trail around, especially because you can find yourself doing a series of trails, and choose to either start and finish each at the trailhead, or do one loooong trail hike.

I like the trailhead w new restrooms, covered picnic tables and bike wash. This allows me to take a break and relax a bit before tackling the next trail.

Really shows you what a wild Florida looks like. The rapids make for some great photography and as you make your way through the trail you really do feel one with nature, especially to be so close to home.

Trail was very thick in the beginning with a lot of trees and bushes on the trail, however only about 5 minutes in, it opens up. The problem with this trail is rain. About a mile in, you’ll come across a bridge with a river below. Normally this river is fine but whenever it rains it overflows very quickly. The water was right up to the bridge and the rest of the path was flooded. Had to turn back. Looks like a good trail but you should hike it when it hasn’t rained in over a week.

great walk. wet feet. lots of contour, variety, and wildlife. we even saw a corral snake.

Great trail with awesome views of the river and "Florida rapids!" I also did the Baynard trail. Great park!

This place was awesome!!! Loved the off beaten path.

extremely nice trail..

My favorite trail in the Hillsborough County area. Located just north of Alderman Ford Park, sharing a parking lot with the baseball fields, (to the left when you pull into the lot) this is truly a hidden gem of a hike. What more could you ask for in Florida? A varied terrain of hills, scrub and marsh on a wide, well maintained trail. There is a beautiful camp site with a working pitcher pump next to a nice pond. We saw deer, hogs, wood peckers, hawks and a nice size black snake. We hiked 10.5 miles on this trail but you could easily shorten it or extend it with a few added turns. While we were dry the whole trail, I can see this being a wet walk if it was rainy season, so keep that in mind.

If you are in the area, don’t miss this one for a true Fla trail experience.

Call or visit the website for the hours. It’s summer and they’re open till 730. Which is nice. They’re actually no bugs right now. I did the phosphate mine trail twice and it is steep. Keep a lookout on the red signs on the trees. I took a couple wrong turns but got back on the path. The River Loop, Trail was interesting but I never could stay on the red trail at one point I was on the bike trail I’m pretty sure. It was interesting there is over a dozen car is in the parking lot. But I never saw anyone on the trail except for one other person and that was another walker with the dog I wonder where they all were On the phosphate mine trail you’ll really enjoy all of the Firemans or simply marvelous.
