Gorgeous! Neat way to view the beauty of the Niagara Gorge. Good advice to wear proper shoes to enjoy the rocky terrain. Fun to watch the whirlpool jet boats go by!

Beautiful hike through the Gorge! A moderately difficult hike mainly due to slippery rocks, stairs, and tourists stopping to take pictures. The view of the rocks and waterfalls along the path were wonderful. I will definitely be back!

We went to the overlook point n saw and we were not thrilled and then we drove to the gorge trail head, We started the hike and its less than a mile once we reached the falls it was surely a great feeling. We went after heavy rains so we could see decent amount of water but if you go in mid summer I doubt if you can hardly enjoy the falls. The gorge trail head is right next to Cayuga so we spent some time there as well, worth a visit!!

DON'T TAKE THE INDIAN TRAIL... We started hiking gorge and from Jacob's ladder we headed back on Indian trail, the gorge trail as the name suggests is awesome but gets crowded but worth it. The Indian trail has maybe 1-2 viewing points and it doesn't have anything that makes us feel that we are at a glen... So just make sure you get back in the gorge itselff

I have really enjoyed the hike... Upper and middle falls are really close and its not much of a hike, the walk to lower falls is nice the canyon gets deeper and lot of pine trees around its really nice... After the hike dont forget to drive in park road and stop at all the scenic lookout points you will love itt.... Opps I forgot to mention that the middle falls has a rainbow... :), I would love to go back in fall..!!

This is by far one of the best state parks I've been to. A true gem in the state of New York. Plenty of trails and scenic views that take your breath away. If you are looking for a fun getaway this is the place to be.

Amazing trail. I was initially disappointed that it was raining my only day in Ithaca but turned out for the best. There were hardly any people to contend with and it cooled me off on what couldn’t been a tough hike/trail run. I did a lollipop loop where I started at the south lot took a left halfway through to get the rim trail and then got back on the gorge trail at the north lot. Another advantage to parking the south lot was a cold refreshing dip afterwards!

Though a short and easy trail, it set the pace for a brisk hike through the woods. The waterfalls were dry when we visited (mid August), but the view was still very scenic and pristine. This trail is perfect for first timers.

We started from the south lot so we did all the elevation first, a lot of steps and inclines in this direction but not terrible. The views are spectacular from the rim and the gorge side once alongside the falls. The step on the rim trail took a good bit of effort but I was looking for that. If you’re looking for an easier route than you could Park 2 cars, one at each lot and start from the north to mostly skip the inclines. Really amazing spot and well maintained.

One of our favorites.

A beautiful hike for all ages. Not to hard. Being able To see the narrows, waterfalls, bridges all in one hike. It does get crowded but was still very enjoyable.

Very lovely views, lots of nice spots to sit along the way. SOOO MANY STEPS! Picnic area was very nice. One of the better waterfall hikes upstate.

Too many people for my liking, more easy than moderate I’d say, not the best views for the majority of the hike and not well marked at the entrance near the visitor’s center. I do suggest walking down to the footbridge though.

Moderate hike with many tree roots throughout. Small creek at the bottom with some fish spotted. Sedimentary rock - shale - forms the gorge walls. The 'waterfall' was more like a trickle but this may be due to the absence of rainfall over the past month. The flame is within the wall of the waterfall and creates a cool natural visual.

Nice easy walk through the woods. We did an out and back total of 4.5 mi from the Mt. Morris Dam & Recreation area. All “scenic” views were within the first half mile or so. Bring big spray if you’re going further than that as the mosquitoes got pretty bad. Tip: you’ll save the $10 entrance fee if you don’t enter through the Park Rd. side of the park first, stay on this (the south side) of the park and you’ll be good.

Absolutely beautiful! Can’t wait to go back

Very cool spot. Lots of traffic but great scenery. Lots of amphibians along the rock wall mixed in with all the ferns, moss and wildflowers. Overlooked due to the rushing water. Hiked all the way to the end than came back on the Indian trail crossed the mile bridge and continued to the end on the upper ridge trail.

Excelente ruta A+

Love it here. Great hiking for dogs, even a separate swimming section for them in the large falls swimming area. Busy but not so crazy busy that it’s unenjoyable. Apparently you are not supposed to swim in any other area than the large designated area but we did and so were a lot of other people. It was super fun. Just be aware that you can be fined for it as we were told by a policewoman on the way out.

One of my favorite spots in Ithaca!
