A very nice walk along the beach. Read other reviews about walking in the sand. Do suggest getting legs into shape if you don't walk a lot. Did hill work since I didn't have access to sand. Was good to go. Sights and sounds were wonderful. Seals were very fun to watch once you get to the lighthouse.

absolutely amazing trail. went in August and the water was still flowing. the hike was beautiful. didn't see a soul the whole hike. huge recommendation from me for a short hike.

This was a great “break up the drive” loop we took with our kids while driving down the 199. It is kid-friendly, lots of parking, with great views of the ocean.

Easy easy easy...decent redwood action, weak waterfall

A beautiful hike! My wife and I carried our lunch in our packs, and ate just after we got to the falls; an easy hike at that point. We decided to finish the entire 2.5 mile loop. Be warned! The last 2/3 of the hike is much more difficult, and--VERY important-- there is NO cell phone coverage in the area. I would upgrade this hike to above moderate for the entire loop; fairly easy for the hike to the falls. The Redwoods are spectacular, (better than LBJ Grove)! Oh yeah, I did not see even one Trillium; they must bloom at a different time of the year.

Rigorous, especially for kids. But worth the walk for the views and the adventure. Parts of the trail are slippery and the way back is a climb, but we all enjoyed it.

Nice trail. Went around 6pm. Was greeted in the end by a little brown bear. Really scary when hiking alone. But I calmly walked by and it didn’t come towards me. I was by bridge view the elk.

Beautiful hike! The waterfall is very small but there are endless blackberries!

A great place to find tide pools near Crescent City.

Beautiful hike along the beach. I highly recommend taking the upper ridge trail - we took the beach for half of the way there and definitely regret it. Although the upper ridge is soft sand in parts, overall much much better trail with just as beautiful views. Lighthouse was stunning with elephant seals sleeping right on the beach!

added the revelation trail to make it about a mile.

I love getting to see the great trees—perfect little walk from the visitor’s center!

Love this to take friends who can’t walk far. Loop trail goes through quiet green forest with ferns, creeklets, and yes Big trees.

good trail , bit more rugged than rest the park , more diverse forests as well .. every trail in the park is awesome can't go wrong , link em together long , short just get out there

gotta love waterfalls , easy trail , great little spot

fun hike , pretty easy miles , trails is nice , can get a little soggy at differnt times of the year, but thats the north coast for ya .. goes thru some nice forests , creeks , then eventually the ocean .. good additon of some more easy miles is a walk on to patricks point ..

June 12, 2018. My wife and I started at around 1:30 and took the high path (last 1/4 of the hike) on the way to the lighthouse. Note that the high trail is less traveled but the trail map w/GPS kept us pretty close to the barely discernible track. We saw many different varieties of flowers on the trip out which was a treat and the ocean views are spectacular.. Recommend hiking boots and poles if taking the high trail. We returned north via the low route... Lots of loose sand and strong headwinds made it a bit of a slog. Trip time ~ 2 hours out and 2 hours back. We are experienced hikers in our 60s and would give this a “hard” rating for a one day out and back (wind, sand, water crossing, and route finding (upper trail portion only).

Loved the trail great start for the forest

Great for if you would like some lovely coastal views and don’t have a ton of time to explore.

Super short and easy walk through some old growth. Great if you don’t have a ton of time!

Great, fairly easy hike through lots of Redwoods and some nice little falls. It was pretty in mid April when we went but I hear it’s better later in spring and summer when flowers are in full bloom.

The water level obstructs your ability to walk up to the light house. The beach and flowers were beautiful though. There is also a pier that is .79 miles long that offers some good views of the lights house and harbor.

Big Tree in 2012 [not sure if they change this periodically] - 304 ft. high, 21.6 ft. in diameter, 68 feet in circumference, and over 1500 years old... nice flat walking trail that starts and ends at the BIG tree.

Can’t ever go wrong hiking the beach sand dollars everywhere

Beautiful loop trail to the falls. We went beginning of May 2018. We do a lot of hiking in the redwoods and the first part of the trail had some really neat trees! The falls were beautiful very peaceful. By midday there were a lot of people on the trail however.

Very easy trail. Pretty typical Humboldt County trail, just with a small (but beautiful!) waterfall at the end. Really close to a lot of other fantastic hikes, so it's worth a stop if you're making a day trip.

loved the beach access. Didnt see a soul.

easy trail one of my favs

If entering from Berry Glen road and down the bridge you will encounter a wide trail and sign that says Trillium falls trail it is deceiving you will continue thinking you are on the trail and pass the real trail with the only sign that says “trail”. The wide trail will continue around and you think your gtg however after 2 miles it ends by the forest taking whatever trail you are on over. Then you have to back track 2 miles. Turned out to be 7 miles total and back to Berry Glen road yikes!
