The Trees and tropical vegatation is unbelivably HUGE. It is amazing and very different. Trail is easily marked with beautiful waterfalls.

Still closed from hurricane Maria but the rainforest is gorgeous and still worth the visit. They do allow you far enough up (driving) to see Coca Falls and to the first viewing tower. There isn't a lot of parking but stay patient and you will get a spot. There is a 30 minute time limit on parking. Only trail we found that was open was Angelito. Short but it leads you to a nice stream.

This trail is inaccessible as of today 6/24/2018 due to road construction.

My favorite hike in el Yunque forest. Have done it so many times that lost count. It is beautiful hike and the views on the Rock (to the right couple of minutes prior reaching the top) are amazing. Then can go down the road to reach Mt Britton and continue that trial which connects to Yunque trail or continue the road until another trial to have different view and then just take the road back to the parking lot. Not sure if it has open after the hurricane so check before going.

Beautiful forest, fairytale hike. Few great views on the way. Not very difficult. Come early so you won't have problems with parking spot.

Beautiful view of turquoise waters! The trail starts at the level of the beach where I snorkeled but didn’t see much, only seagrass. The hike got higher and higher to where the waves crash on the cliffs. It’s a very hot hike and I probably would have passed out from the brutal sun if it wasn’t for the cool gusts of ocean wind the entire time. Not much as far as shade so be prepared with a hat, sunscreen, and lots of water. Pretty cool cacti and birds on the trail.

Amazing Hike,❤

Hiked this trail back in Spring 2017. The Mina falls is very trafficked and there were a lot of people. Climate of course was humid and hot. Is a short trail that has a river alongside most of it. Found it easy since many families with children were hiking as well. The waterfall is beautiful, was not able to dip into since i did not have swimming suit but a lot of people were playing in the water. I started hiking in running shoes but once we got there I changed to water sandals which I STRONGLY recommend if you want to walk through the rocks and eventually jump in.

Did this hike with my wife on a mini-vacation from a conference. The rain came down in buckets, but it was still amazing. The waterfall was kicking with all of the rain. Slippery when wet!

Much less crowded than other hikes in the area, likely due to it being somewhat more challenging. Beautiful view overlooking the entire rainforest.

Was expecting to see more flora and animals through the forest, but still very enjoyable hike. We arrived early (~8-9) to avoid tourist traffic!

When hiking El Yunque there you can see Los Picachos, El Yunque Peak, Roca El Yunque Rock, and Mt. Button Tower in a 5.5 mile hike. Park at Palo Colorado where there is a small information/gift shop and bathrooms. Walk up to Baño Grande and see that. You'll see the El Yunque trail to the right and take it all the way up ~2 miles to the Los Picachos trail which is the first trail to your right. It's only .7 miles to Los Picachos and well worth seeing the view. Then go back and take your next right to Roca El Yunque and El Yunque Peak...It is very windy so watch your hat! After El Yunque hike the service road down to Mt. Button which will be your second left, then backtrack to the spur trail to go back down to Palp Colorado.

Excelente sendero. Lo mejor es el final. Nos tardamos 38 minutos en bajar y 30 en virar. La cascada la mina es espectacular. Se siente mucha paz.

So worth it. This hike can be hard if you're not use to change in elevation, tons of humidity, climbing, heat, etc. But it's short and if you take it easy I'm pretty confident most can accomplish and enjoy the beautiful waterfall! It gets busy. Swimming in the waterfall is awesome!

It was lovely. On a hot day you can jump in and cool down. Also a great location to take pictures under the waterfall.

Did this hike back on Feb 2016 trail was a little bit wet and slippery. It would be considered easy doable in regular shoes and clothes. There were a few waterfalls which were beautiful but a bit crowded. You can also swim under the La mina waterfall.

I actually got a little winded on this one. Loved it though!!!! The tower is so picturesque. If you are ever visiting PR this trail is a must.

The Falls were great! I was too busy watching my step that I missed gawking at the rainforest. Obviously a very popular spot, would definitely try to go much earlier if I get another chance!

Beautiful hike and well maintained trail. Took about one hour round trip not including the time spent at the Mina falls. If possible, start the hike as early in the day as possible as the trail gets really crowded and it is a single track trail.

It's a easy compared to the other. Very different feel to it. Good hike.

I would definitely recommend coming to the park as early as you can in order to ensure parking. We connected with the El Yunque trail via the Mt. Briton spur (after having completed the Mt. Briton trail). The trail afforded us spectacular views of the island. We connected with Las Picachos and walked out to the tower lookout before backtracking and walking up to the El Yunque lookout. The hike itself was relatively easy, but I could see how inclement weather would make the trail difficult to pass. We were apparently lucky and did not experience any rain or cloud cover! Be sure to check the weather before you go, as cloud cover could obscure your view. We had a relatively easy time on this trail, but did have to scramble in a few places. I would recommend shooting down the Roca El Yunque after finishing this trail- the views are fantastic.

We got to the park early and were able to snag a spot in the Mt. Briton parking area. Come early because spots are limited and they fill up quickly! The trail was relatively easy to traverse, irrespective of weather conditions, as the walkway is paved. There is an elevation climb, which is why I would rate this trail as 'moderate'. All in all, it was an easy and enjoyable walk up to the tower. The tower offers a great view of the island in all directions. We hopped onto the Mt. Briton spur and connected with the El Yunque trail that took us upwards and onwards for more spectacular views of this beautiful island. All in all, we spent about four and a half hours exploring the trails and managed a quick dip in the river to refresh ourselves afterwards. It was a morning well spent.
