Easy trail with great payoff taking you up near the base of the pinnacles. Hardly anyone on the trail in mid-November. This will definitely be a place I take visiting friends and family who are not used to higher elevation.

Spectacular!

If you are an avid hiker, this is not very exciting.

This trail gave me a tour of complete garden of the gods area. The landscape is so beautiful I can't explain in words.. Must do for everyone. Loved it.

Nice short trail with interpretive signs in wetland area. Great fall color.

well maintained trail with some nice Kansas scenery. The wife, pup and I covered this in just over an hour while stopping at the lake for pictures.

Very scenic hike with great views of the lakes, pinnacles and snow capped mountains (from the top). Easy to find trailhead right off Hwy 50.

Amazing views. Inclines kick your butt a little bit but the views on the top are worth it.

Amazing view at the top, best trail we have done as far as diverse scenery. Will definitely do this one again but will do the Devils Playground turnoff.

Excellent example of a glade, savanna in the Ozarks. Well laid out, very much a quick trail to do.

Unbelievable rock formations! Easy valley hike until you get to the base of the Crags. But worth every step!

Great hike! Did get steep at some parts but the view at the top is amazing. You must go all the way to the top —you won’t regret it!

Perfect distance and skill level for my 3 kiddos, ages 5-7

Beautiful fall colors, well kept trail. My 6 yr old did this with ease. The river is really low but still amazing scenery. Restrooms at the top. Well marked and easy to find. There are a few access spots to get to the water. We only saw 3 fisherman the entire time.

Amazing hike! All nice and easy until you get to the tree line. Then it’s a game changer, prepare to climb up rocks and pebbles for a good 2 hours. It’s an amazing feel while climbing, just such an elevation change and tiring . 9/10 for me this is my favorite hike I’ve done

The reward at the end of this hike is so worth it. You get a 360 degree view! Breathtaking! The hike is moderate but if your not use to the altitude there are small spots that can be difficult. Rest take your time, enjoy the quiet and beauty along the way.

Beautiful hikes. Pretty easy hiking with great views!

Pretty easy hike, paved mostly so great for littles. Awesome rock formations to check out too!

I went at the beginning of October. There was little traffic and the weather was very cooperative. Lots of amazing views!

Absolutely beautiful drive with stunning views, especially at the top. I drove with my windows down and was disappointed in the smell from all the car fumes.Alot of traffic so go during the week and early.

great trail. great views

#twoenthusiasticthumbsup! start early and enjoy the views and a lunch at the top.

It was a perfect fall day. We spent nine hours on the trail. five of it moving and the other four sitting on our rears enjoying the incredible scenery. We got a feeling of accomplishment having climbed a thirteen and a half on an awesome day. We plan to go back next year and do East Spanish Peak?

Crags trail is beautiful especially in the fall. The 360 view on the top was amazing and so worth the hike. It’s a little hard to tell where to stop but make sure you follow the trail up to the top! Great trail. One of my favorites so far!

I love this trail!!!!

Not to be missed! Spectacular hike, especially in the fall.

One of my favorite 14er hikes. Mid-sept is a great time of year to hike with the great temps and changing aspens. I stayed on the main trail and did the out-and-back from Sunshine; didn’t follow any shortcuts (seriously bad erosion happening and unnecessary steepness). My round trip clocked in at 13miles, 7.5 hours.

great relaxing paved trails. saw deer and rabbits. Some areas are off the paved bits and have stunning rock formations.
