Pretty, very easy hike. We took our small dog for the first time and she had no problems.

My husband and I did this trail with our two dogs. It was a beautiful fall day. Could not have been better!

Great trail - some of the best views in TN.

Nice trail! Not too hard, good length, and an abundance of nature!

This place is pretty amazing. It has it all... rivers, waterfalls, meadows, and lots of history (as told through the museum and trail markers). I took my dog and she had an amazing time running with me through the meadow, hiking the trails, and playing in the river. We saw a huge blue heron and a herd of deer in the meadow. It’s a magical place! The only complaint I have is what others noted - the trail is just dreadfully marked. I spent 2 hours essentially wandering around looking at my GPS here on AllTrails and trying to figure out where I was, as did nearly everyone I passed. The problem is threefold: there are multiple trails and spurs (not just “a loop”), AllTrails is not accurate here (not even close), and again, trails are poorly marked. An old pro told me to stop next time at the museum to get a trail map, which I had foregone since I had my trusty AllTrails. I am not deterred though despite some frustration... this place is too great for that. I’ll be back again, and next time I’ll be sure I have a paper map and will keep my phone in my pack. Can’t wait to come back!!

Who doesn’t love MCNP?!? Just go, enjoy, take the kids! Depending on your tour as to the length you’ll be in the cave. Do them all it’s worth it! Just remember to buy your tickets way in advance of your planned visit to ensure you’ll have a spot you want!

Great trails with several water falls!

Fantastic hike featuring two major waterfalls: Cane Creek Falls and Fall Creek Falls. Also several gorge overlooks. Hardest part is the Base of the Falls Trail, which is steep and/or rocky for most of its distance. Start at the Nature Center for an extra Cane Creek Falls view and an extra adventure: walking over a high, swaying suspension bridge. Overall, best hike at the best park in central TN.

Nice trail - a bit strenuous/slow if you have little kids with you; but we made it all the way in and out with kids aged 3, 5, 6 and 8. They enjoyed it :)

My friends and I enjoyed the hike, but the waterfalls are a little lackluster if it hasn’t rained for a while. The best part was the excursion to the bottom of the gorge - definitely the most strenuous mile (round trip), but so worth it!

Enjoyed the loop trail. Plenty to see and explore. Love the educational boards. Will be doing this again with the family.

An awesome trail! Put my 2 yo in the Tula, 5 year old walked. Was a little bit too much for 5 year old. As we got closer to the end on the way back, she got whiney from being tired. Tons of places to stop and rest. One of my fav hikes ever!

Definitely worth the 2.5 hour drive

The waterfalls are so awesome. Worth the drive out to see them!

I had no idea we’d see so many waterfalls along one trail. Really scenic and easy. Even the lower trail and offshoots we’re too difficult with a pole.

nice easy trail to start hiking on.

Really enjoyed it. Took 2 of the alternate trails as well and they wound down by the water. it added some complexity but also some distance and really nice views. The waterfall is really something.

The trail was ROUGH, but totally worth the effort. Took three dogs, they struggled in certain areas, but had a blast. If you’ve been to Cummins the trail is harder, I thought this trail was closer to strenuous than moderate because it’s really rocky.

Beautiful trail. Not crowded for Tuesday hike. We took our dogs and it seems like everyone else we saw on the trail did the same.

Some parts of the trail were not marked very well and some parts were eroded away.

gorgeous view and fun water hole to play in

Had a fun hike with my son today today! Would up doing 5.3 miles... A hot day but great exercise none the less...

Lack of trail markings can make it a little confusing. The waterfalls are great and it’s a very easy little loop.

Nice little camp ground/ hiking and picnicking area.

Very narrow trail and poor markings at spots.

Hoss,me and our little dog pebbles enjoyed this loop!! The cave was huge and very sandy, huge bluffs and rock foundations. The bridge was very nice too, another great day to hike!

Nice trail with some easy access to the lake. I will agree with young kids (7 and under) it can get a bit hairy as the trail narrows to 18 inches in spots. If you find a green sneaker there on the north side of the loop, know it's ours. Watch your step as the path is overgrown in places as of mid-June.

Diverse well marked and worn Plateau trail.

Incredible views

Loved this loop and this whole state park today!! I went with my two dogs and we had a blast exploring the park, the river, and all of the waterfalls. The loop gives options for how hard you want the hike to be. You can scoot your way up and down the hillside to get in the water, or you can walk around on more of the flat terrain. Absolutely want to go again!
