Beautiful hike! The lava rocks all over were very neat and the river was flowing hard. My 5 yr and 6yr kids did this hike no problem. A little sticky with the mud..well avoiding it on the rocks anyway , but nothing difficult. The water was a beautiful blue and the moss all over the forest was a sight from a far off land.

Beautiful falls, very full right now. Trail is pretty muddy in spots though and sometimes huge puddles take up the entire width of the trail, so I would suggest hiking boots at this time!

Super easy trail, hiked it after doing the majority of henline mountain trail but had to turn back because of snow. The fall is totally worth seeing. A few people there today but not a crowded mess.

Mostly very beautiful and pleasant experience. Awesome waterfall worth the hike. The road to the trail head is full of potholes, and parts of it just gravel. The trail is not toddler friendly close to the waterfall. Took 2 hours with two toddlers.

There are still small patches of snow on sides of the road, but most snow is melted and you can get to trailhead just fine. The falls is absolutely beautiful! Out of Spirit, Pinard and Moon, Moon is definitely my favorite! The first part of the trail is pretty muddy, but the second half isn’t so bad.

Hiked this with my mom on Mother’s Day. Great for kids and old people. Very pretty wild flowers along the way. It was great seeing families out as well. Got lucky and got a parking spot as someone was leaving.

Good family hike (youngest is 10) with a great payoff at the end. Only reason not 5 stars is that the trail had large sections of mud throughout. Not a big deal but it forced us to look down at our feet and not at the spectacular surroundings.

Did this hike on a whim. It was pouring rain and slippery on the rocks, but it was nice because everyone else was headed back. When I got to the pool, it literally took my breath away. This was a favorite and the pictures just don't do justice. The entire trail was so peaceful, lush and green- even without the pool it is worth it!

UPDATE for 3/18/18 review. As of 3/31/18 the road is again passable with only a bit of snow with ruts to drive in near the top, just before Pinard falls. I drive a 2006 Honda Accord and had no problem.
Out of the 3 falls in this area, this is the best. See also: Pinard falls and Spirit. While all trails were muddy, this was probably the least of which that was. It is a huge and astonishingly tall falls, and when you get down to it, you can walk right up to the base of it and get sprayed. This area is just amazingly beautiful. Must see area for any Oregonian or someone just visiting. Highly recommended! I got off work in Eugene @ 130pm and headed straight for Pinard 1st. Hiked all three with a nice rest at each, and had plenty of the day left. Make sure you do all three, it's worth the drive out.

3rd place in the race of the 3 falls in this area. See also: Pinard and Moon. It is a nice n easy .75 mile hike down to a beautiful wide and full falls; in late March. It also offers a bench and a picnic table down by the falls if you wanna take a load off and have lunch with a view. Another hidden Oregon gem.

As of 3/18/2018 the road to Moon Falls is not passable. There are many trees down and heavy snow. We were 3 miles away before we had to turn around. And we are driving in a Chevy Silverado. Just FYI. We will attempt again aftet April. Happy trails everyone!

Beautiful and lush bright green forests. Love the porous lava looking rocks along the trails and the blue pool is gorgeous! Wear hiking boots!! Stepping on a lot of rocks and unleveled ground, as well as very muddy in the spring.

Walked this trail with an almost 3-year-old, 7, and 11 yo. A really easy, mildly steep, but quick hike that leads to truly beautiful views on both sides. A great family-friendly hike with a view deserves a 5!

Easy, pretty hike. Beautiful Oregon countryside and majestically blue pool at the end.

I took my dogs out here to get away for a little bit. I loved this hike. It was short and had a rewarding ending. The water fall and water in general were beautiful. There’s also a little cave there that you can explore.

Great trail! unfortunately went in August so the falls was just a trickle. So if you're hiking for the falls, you'll be disappointed! They are very small in comparison to the beauties further north on Hwy. 138!

One of my favorite short hikes. The falls and pool are beauriful. Be sure to go when the runoff is at its peak.

Easy hike, and very beautiful. Went yesterday and got there at 6am, only saw a small group of people as we got back to our car. I recommend going early to beat the crowd. Quite a bit of snow still on the ground, but I managed to go through easily with a pair of nikes.

Great trail for toddlers! The waterfall was huge and beautiful! The trail was muddy and wet.

Beautiful, short hike over packed snow. Family friendly and definitely worth it. Expect snow until mid March.

Awesome hike. Soft on your feet and beautiful trees. The view of the pool is incredible from above. Really cold water. Heavy trafficked trail

Love this hike. About 6 inches of snow throughout the trail. Great spot!

Easy hike with a nice waterfall at the end. Also a little cave nearby you can venture in a bit. Nice easy hike, would be great for kids and dogs.

Great place to hike when it's not to crowded

Nothing like relaxing in the middle of so much beauty only nature can give!

Great short Hike!

Wonderful hike! A little muddy but still enjoyable. However, I almost missed the pool! If you reach a sign that says “does not loop around” you’ve gone too far.

not muddy or heavily trafficked. nice trail with a gorgeous fall at the end.

Pretty spot and we hiked up to the top of the falls too!

If coming in from the Hwy 58 side the entrance to the trail is not quite where the GPS takes you, but keep looking around and you will find it! Great little hike with beautiful falls. Watch out for people with dogs off their leashes. the trail is narrow at spots and you can't see up ahead. We encountered dogs running ahead of their owners and the dogs were not friendly.
