loved it!

Icy in spots but clear path overall; wore traction going down. Beautiful trail

Great moderate hike. Not much snow today. took about 2 hours including a break at the top and I had a baby on my back. A great view once you get to the top and some nice aspens along the way....somebody even left a pre-rolled out there.

Only saw a few people in the distance on this one. not much traffic on Friday at 1pm.

*bonus*

Gorgeous snow shoe. However, snow is about an inch or less on the first 3 miles of the trail. Might be good to bring crampons and snow shoes. Most of the rivers are frozen over.

Short and steep, but great views at the top! Winds were a little crazy today, so didn’t spend too much time up top. Some icy spots on the trail that spikes may have been useful for, but managed just fine.

This trail starts out at an easy 450 foot slow descent. About 1.6 miles into it, the trail starts to ascend back up about 500-550 feet. Overall, the trail was easy to hike with our family including my son on my back and the slight snow conditions from a week ago that is now compacted into some icy spots. Recommend wearing hiking boots that can grip the snow/ice. Has a couple of great views along with it! The total trail length according to my Garmin watch was about 2.8-2.9 miles. Unfortunately we did not spot any big wild life, only squirrels.

Great hike, not super challenging. The trail was covered in snow 75% of the time, I wore my hiking shoes and did just fine not too slippery. Beautiful view, I throughly enjoyed it!

A fun hike with Kalina Miller today on this easy to find trail with some excellent views. The inclines are not so steep really and there are some nice level sections and a few short downhills. Enjoy the scenery and take lots of pics.

Such a fun little trail! Small bit of scrambling to the rocks at the top. Spikes were useful but probably not required today. Lovely views. Port-o-let at the trailhead. (I always find it useful know!)

Beautiful XC Ski!

Great views. Lovely wildflowers. Plenty of spots to stop for rest on the steeper parts. We were at Panorama Point for sunset (driving up) earlier this week and heard a mountain lion snarling!
Keep your dogs on a leash for sure! Also, if you’re going to bag the dog poo, take the bag with you! Leaving the bagged poo defeats the purpose of cleaning up after your pet!

It's a short one, but great for a morning away. Had the trail to myself and didn't see anyone til I got back to the parking lot. No snow yet, but the incline is real! Views are amazing at the top (minus the mansions built into the mountainsides).

Amazing! I agree to go clockwise like everyone else said. It was a pretty steep incline, but after that it was not bad at all. The views were absolutely stunning.

Good for a local front range trail.. some hard packed snow near panorama.

Beautiful! Relaxing, adventurous!

Gorgeous trail with a variety of different scenery along the way. Breathtaking landscapes, easy to follow, some decent hills to hike.

It had some nice views. We went at the end of October and it was pretty cold so bring jackets. Some snow was off the trail but not on the trail. Not very difficult hike.

A new favorite. Short but a great workout with how steep it gets in spots. Nice at the top to sit and hang out, will definitely be back!

amazing views and easy to get to. pretty difficult if you're not acclimated to the elevation, but worth it if you are or not.

We ran out about a mile to a beautiful viewpoint overlooking Fairplay, the valley, and the distant mountains. The trail offers a lot of reward for minimal effort. There are lots of beautiful aspen groves but beware of the crowds when the leaves are changing.

A great short hike. The steep incline provides just enough of a challenge. Great views at the top. Ideal for bringing a dog.

If you’re looking for a peaceful hike through a forest with some stunning views of peaks but don’t want to give up a lazy Saturday, this hike is perfect. Not too far from Denver and a good workout!

I agree with going clockwise so then you get the panoramic stopping point to have a snack close to the end.

Nice short hike that gets a work out in with the elevation gain. Would be good for someone acclimating before tackling a 14er.

Today, 10252018, there was extensive snow on the trail just past the switch backs after the junction with the Rosalie trail.

Parking is easily accessible. I turned around at the junction with Craig Park Trail (9 mi, 3000ft elevation gain round trip) due to the snow being a little deeper than my liking and my legs not wanting to trudge through anymore. I was also alone and had seen a TON of animal tracks. Didn’t see any people until I was on the way back down about 2 mi from the TH. Pretty diverse with the stream, aspens (who have lost their leaves) and evergreens. I’ll be back in the summer to go all the way up!

We hadn’t expected the snow to not have melted (silly Kansan mistake) but the trail was great. We started at the trailhead and walked to panorama point had a snack and walked back. Well marked trail, beautiful views. Took us probably 2.5 hours but we stopped for 20-30 min at panorama point.

Really nice hike. It was a little slick in parts due to snow on the ground...it was so nice in Denver I forgot about the recent snow! The scenery is lovely all along the trial.

Great hike with great views at the top.
