Several paths to take form long to short easy to moderate. Wildlife....birds, deer......snakes near the water. One of the paths cuts through a neighborhood. That’s kind of cool.

Awesome and so worth the walk up. It is paved, but some areas do have an incline. Our Portuguese water dog did great and we would do it again! Falls are beautiful and so much bigger than we thought!

very easy hike restrooms a little way down from trail head. if looking to see waterfalls its nice looking for more of a hike not for you.

I found this trail to be easy going down and hiking along the paths at the bottoms of the canyon. Coming up provided a first class workout as you climb up 600 stairs. But the beautiful views, the scenic river, the gorgeous waterfalls made it all worthwhile. The sights and sounds were amazing and beyond what I was hoping to find there. Loved it and will be taking friends back to visit this trail again.

Always a nice hike. Beautiful falls very easy to visit.

Tried to follow the Park map which was not detailed and confusing, so we got lost a couple times. Really pretty hike with a lot of views!

Fantastic! It has everything you could want on a hike- waterfalls, mountain views and streams. I enjoyed how the terrain and density of the trees was always changing. My favorite hike so far!

The climb was well worth it! Great for kids as well.

I recommend you go early, this is a very popular area. The parking was full by 10am.

had a really cool "sky hike" for kids that cost 34 dollars for my child's age group (10).... the trail was closed for construction. I'm impressed

Took my daughter out for the day. This hike was a blast. It was challenging in some spots but that was due to the amount of rain we have had over the last week or so. All in all it was a great time and a great day.

This trail is wonderful because you can turn left and go see the Cherokee Falls and then come back up and go right to see the Hemlock Falls. Just keep in mind, all those stairs feel easy to walk down, but at some point you have to come back up!

My two year old and I did a little of the Yellow Trail and Red Trail (just to the ruins) last week and it was great! Plenty easy for her, and wasn’t difficult for me to do with her on a carrier either! It’s a wonderful park!

Good place to clear your mind.

Family friendly it was beautiful!

Gorgeous waterfalls and a nice place to sit and observe nature.

Gorgeous trail and views and waterfalls, wild life. Ride up people say very rigid...SUV..no problem!

spectacular views of rushing and falling water!... BEWARE the climb back up the stairs is INTENSE. *This location should come with a health warning... if you're not in at least "decent" cardio health... enjoy the view from the top of the canyon and don't go down to the bottom of the steps!

We added this hike to our days mileage after hiking down the 600 stairs to Hemlock Falls from Cloudland Canyon State Park. We hiked about half way on this trail to grab a few geocaches that were hidden along the way. We took many pictures and were in awe of the many incredibly beautiful views of the creeks, the waterfalls and the canyon walls. We definetly got a great lung burning, butt burning workout on the return. ♡♡♡

Cloudland Canyon State Park has been on our bucket list for awhile. We chose the Hemlock Falls trail first and were not disappointed. The canyon walls were covered in icicles and the views from many stops on the stairs of the canyon walls were incredibly beautiful. The waterfall was well worth the hundreds of steps we hiked on the stairs. ♡♡♡

worth the hike.

wonderful cold weather hike. snow and ice galore

Well maintained trail. Easy to Moderate stroll to pretty impressive waterfalls. plenty of area for back country camping.

You have to drive through a creek to get up the mountain but my Chevy Cruze did fine with it. The trail is nice and the waterfalls are beautiful! And the last one is a lot bigger than I thought it would be.

When I seen the name I had to go .. My mothers maiden name was Helton and my hobby is ancestry so this was a must for me And so well worth it .

A beautiful area we loved this hike ! It's a must see

Enjoyed the falls, easily accessible via the boardwalk trail. Did the whole loop / Interpretive Trail—Lower elevation wandered through lush rhododendrons, ferns and other evergreens. The trail does go through a lot of clear cut area but there are some mountain views before descending back to the river. I mapped 3.5 miles from parking area and back.
*Follow the paved trail, under the bridge, continue along the boardwalk until the end. The falls are just beyond.

We are a couple in our 60’s in reasonably good shape and did this trail in January, after a snow/ice event but the day was relatively warm. For us it was moderately strenuous but hey, we’re in our 60’s. Pretty constant ups and downs but most of that was relatively gradual. No truly hard climbs or descents and the footing on most of the trail was good. A little rocky and root strewn on the west side of the loop. It took us 6 hrs but most people do it in 4-5 hours.

Sutton’s Gulch is a hidden gem in Cloudland Canyon. Begins in a Trenton neighborhood and finishes as Hemlock Falls in the middle of the park. Our family favorite
